Whew, it’s been a busy few weeks, but we’re back to do the final round up of new patterns by It’s Sew Emma for the Fall! (Click here to see our post on Part 1 of the new patterns.) This set of four patterns is part of our Impressions patterns, which use our Orange Peel template set. If you don’t have the templates, you can still use the templates printed in the patterns. So with that squared away, here are Herald, Lovey Dovey, Peony and Wisteria!
Herald is a fun one, alternating background colors in the blocks for a checkerboard effect. That, and the slight twist of the orange peels, creates a very pleasing optical effect! In the black and white range of Delilah, the variations are highlighted even more. Herald comes in three size options.
The inspiration for Lovey Dovey is written all over this quilt! Who doesn’t love those classic X’s and O’s? In red and pink, it almost feels vintage, but adding a colored background and illustrated prints, like these in Dear Diary, keeps it sweet but adds some modern flair. Lovey Dovey comes in three size options.
This Peony isn’t your typical garden variety, but you will want them blooming everywhere! It is undeniably cute, but using prints from The Elm Park Collection lends an elegant softness to the happy petals. Peony comes in three sizes.
With all the gracefulness of Wisteria, using different sizes of the Orange Peel templates gives the effect of climbing ivy! We love it in the two-color combo of blues, but the delicateness of Dollhouse harmonizes well, and the smoky background gives it some pop. Wisteria comes in one size.
That is a wrap for the latest It’s Sew Emma patterns! We hope you enjoyed these tidbits and ideas, and let us know what you think.
