Hollyhock Cottage – Giveaway Closed

Hollyhock Cottage, a little thatched cottage with smoke curling from the chimney is nestled in the garden amongst the flowers and trees.  Spring is in the air.

Lynette Anderson’s newest collection, Hollyhock Cottage is full of simple beauties.  The petrol blues, earthy browns, duck egg blues and off whites pair so well with the sweet floral prints and cottage illustrations. We are so excited about this collection and hope you are too.

Flowering Hollyhock Cottage captures the greens, blues and off whites of the collection.
Growing Hollyhock Cottage reflects the deep forest with earthy browns and mushroom tones.

We are giving away two bundles of Hollyhock Cottage to our lovely readers.  To enter, go to our website and leave a comment on this post stating which colorway you would choose and why.  The winner will be selected tomorrow at 9am. Good luck! Update, Johanna won the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage bundle and Karen won the Growing Hollyhock Cottage bundle. Thanks for playing!

  1. Oh wow what a beautiful collection. I love the blue color way. The colors are so cool and refreshing. I can see a beautiful quilt using the blues and greens. Perfect color for a guest room oasis.

  2. I've always wanted to make a primarily brown quilt so I would choose the Growing Hollyhock Cottage bundle. They both are absolutely awesome though!

  3. It would be a difficult decision — between the blue and brown collections. However, I have always wanted to complete a brown quilt — I would love to choose the Growing Hollyhock Cottage. All of the collections are LOVELY!!! (PamJ; Dogshowmom@aol.com)

  4. Flowering Hollyhock Cottage! Reminds me of the days when I taught Art History! The details are wonderful and call to mind many of the fabrics in paintings!!! Yet, these fabrics are fresh and current today!!! I know just the quilt for these prints!!!

  5. So pretty! It'd be a tough choice but I could see using the blues to make a table topper for our living room, it would look so harmonious.

  6. All the fabrics and patterns by Lynette are beautiful. If I have to pick one, I would say the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage, I love the shades of blue in it!

  7. Both collections are BEAUTIFUL! and would make lovely quilts. I choose the blue collections because blue is one of my favorite colors.

  8. These fabrics are lovely! It would be hard to pick between the two, but if I had to I'd go with the browns. They make me feel all calm and cozy.

  9. Love the color scheme of "Flowering Hollyhock Cottage" as well as the small prints, great for many quilt motifs 🙂

  10. Both are just gorgeous. But I wouls chose the Flowering (blues) as this is my color scheme and I love blues. Lots of minis – table topper, wallhanging, candle mats…

  11. What a wonderful collection. I love it. I'd choose the "Growing Hollyhock Cottage" colorway because my little stash doesn't have much of that lovely color.

  12. Both collections are beautiful! I would choose the Growing collection. I'm collecting fabric for a quilt of all neutrals and these would be a perfect addition. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  13. Ohhhh, so beautiful! I would chose the blues, they just speak to me. I think this would end up as a quilt for me 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!!

  14. It's so hard to choose, they are so beautiful mixed together. I would choose the "Growing Hollyhock".
Thanks for the chance to win.

  15. I like growing holly hock. Love the earthy browns and mushroom colors. Very primitive. Would make a cute apron and maybe table runner

  16. i love this collection. It has a great mix of both modern and traditional designs. I would have to choose the Flowering Collection. My decor is more on the blue side of things.
Thanks and keep designing modern fabrics.

  17. The Flowering Hollyhocks Cottage reminds me of my mom..and the colors she has in her home. Makes me feel warm and cozy…and at home.

  18. I love both colorways, but I prefer the blue/green/cream line a tiny bit more. It makes me think of a lovely cottage in the French countryside. I would love to make a quilt for my mom, whom I blame for my French country obsession, out of this fabric line.

  19. Oh goodness, this is such a gorgeous collection. I love both of them, but the browns speak to me. I always love earthy colors. Most of my stash are earthy colors. This would fit right in. Thank you for the opportunity to win a bundle of this beautiful fabric.

  20. I really like the idea of mixing the two together, but blues and greens are almost always my favorite colors, so I would go with the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage. The soft greys and off-whites are really attractive with the blues and greens!

  21. I love the country feel of this adorable collection. I'm picturing my family wrapped up in it this fall . I'm leaning towards the "Flowering Hollyhock" since my couch's are brown and these colors would make a lovely accent! Thank you

  22. I would choose the blue colorway from the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage collection. I just found out a new nephew is on its way and he will get a babyquilt from his auntie Wendy. These fabrics will be adorable in his babyquilt.

  23. I love the browns of the Growing Hollyhock Cottage collection! I sense a hidden Asian influence and see these fabrics as helping to create a very calming and gentle quilt.

  24. I love the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage line. My great grandma Lucy lived in a little cottage with hollyhocks lining the walkways. I loved to visit her and the fabric line name instantly took me back in time.

  25. Oh the choices we have to make! I would choose the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage in the blues. We just redid our family room furniture and to have a quilt from this beautiful fabric would be perfect. Thanks for the chance!

  26. Lynette is just so talented. First her patterns and now fabric. I loved her last line and I love this one equally. Growing is the one I would choose. I love the earthy richness of the colors.

  27. If I HAVE to pick only one, I'd say the Flowering, with the beautiful shades of green and blue. Thanks for the giveaway!

  28. I love both colorways but I think I could get more use from the brown. They are beautiful and I love the little cottage!

  29. Well you are making me choose one, so I'll say Growing. However, I love them all.

  30. I love both colorways, but I prefer the blue because it will be perfect in my redecorated livingroom. I love all of Lynettes fabrics

  31. Flowering Hollyhock Cottage captures the greens, blues and off whites of the collection. These colors are clean and crisp to me by adding the white.

  32. I love the flowering hollyhock cottage. Our house is mainly browns and earth tones so the blues and greens would be a good bit of color.

  33. I like the browns. I tend to use lots of brown as neutrals against bright greens and blues. Also love the small scale of the prints, they're getting harder to find.

  34. I'd choose the brown because I can mix and match it with so many other colors — red and brown, orange and brown, yellow and brown, pink and brown, tan and brown…well you get the idea. LOL! :o)

  35. I love the flowering hollyhock lcollection. I recently purchased a new bedroom set and think the colors would look amazing as a quilt with the red/brown tones of the wood.

  36. I love the Growing Hollyhock College collection (browns). I have really been creating a lot of quilts with browns lately; seems like almost every color in my stash works with what I call the "new" black (aka browns). Both are beautiful collections but I particularly like the brown one.

  37. Both are wonderful but I would have to choose the Flowering Hollyhock collection since I am partial to blues. Thanks for the opportunity.

  38. Flowering! No, Growing! No, some of both! 🙂 Love these colors together . . . I think if I can only choose one it would be Flowering. The blues are very calming, and I'd love to make a lap quilt for my sitting room to snuggle under with a book and some hot tea. Thanks for the giveaway!

  39. I love both! I think the flowering hollyhock would be better for me since we have a lot of wood in our house. A bit of color would be nice. What a beautiful collection!

  40. I love them both together, but if I were just choosing one bundle to add to my stash it would be the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage. Thanks for the chance.

  41. I would probably mix the two together…..but if I had to choose it would be the brown then take off from there. Thanks for the give away opportunity!

  42. What a tough choice! I love them both, but the Growing Hollyhock Cottage is extra appealing.

    Thansk for the opportunity!

  43. I love the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage group, would go well with some William Morris I have that Im going to use to start the Grandmothers Choice block of the week honoring the women suffergetts across the world. Hard to imagine how different life was for women only 100 years ago. But sewing always was a vital link beteen us. Thanks for the chance!

  44. Wow, so many lovely comments. My head has got really big reading them! Thank you to everyone for the sweet words and thank you to FQ shop for hosting a giveaway of my newest fabric collection x x
    Lynette

  45. Tough decision, I think the growing hollyhock cottage, but they are both beautiful, I think I would need them both.

  46. Both are lovely, but somewhat to my surprise (I'm usually a fan of blue and green), I actually prefer the browns in the Growing range. I need more stuff that works as neutrals. Thanks for a lovely giveaway.

  47. Lynette Anderson does such wonderful fabrics! I'd select the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage because the blues are very soothing to my eyes. Thank you for the chance to win! 🙂

  48. Hi. Great new fabrics from Lynette. Oh I would love to Get som of her broen fabrics. It will just looks soo great at Fernhill….. Don't you think so?
    Hugs

  49. Beautiful! Difficult to choose, but I think I would go with the blue color way. I would love sitting on a bench by our cabin by the sea snuggled up with a blue-greeny soft quilt. Fingers crossed! 🙂

  50. What beautiful fabrics! The Flowering Hollyhock Cottage reminds me of my grandmother's small home where hollyhocks grew in abundance along her old wooden fence and shed. Her hands were never idle. I would like to make a quilt in the blue fabrics to honour her memory. Thanks for the opportunity to win this.

  51. Both collections are so beautiful!
Flowering Hollyhock Cottage is my favourite – so many teals and dusty blues!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

    Best wishes,
    Tatyana

  52. I love the Flowering Hollyhock with the blues and greens!! I was surprised because I'm a big brown fan, but there is something about those blues/grays that is very appealling. I think they would go with lots of other fabrics, especially my other Lecien/Japanese fabrics. Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  53. What charminmg fabric! I would choose the Flowering Hollyhock so I could make a quilt for my room! It would be perfect! Thanks for the chance!

  54. I love the blue, but I have tonnes of blues in my stash simply because I love it so much; I don't have much brown though. As a result of that I'd go for the brown (Growing) collection.

  55. I love Lynette Anderson's patterns and fabrics. I'd be happy with any of the color collections. I think both are fantastic! I think I would try blue first though as I have never made a blue quilt and it would be something unique for me to work with!

  56. It seems so unfair that we have to CHOOSE!!

But I love the richness of the Growing Hollyhock Cottage range. I can just see them combined with some solids for a modern remake on a classic pattern.

    Cheers,
    Laren

  57. Fabulous line of fabrics! I prefer the Flowering Hollyhock Cottage. I like blues, any and all! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

  58. This is a fabulous collection & I can't wait to get my hands on it. I really like both color choices but will be happy to win the brown/mushroom collection. Thanks

  59. These are lovely fabrics. The warm earthy browns and mushroom tones put me in a fall mood. So, my colorway choice is the Growing Hollyhock Cottage by Lynette Anderson for Lecien Fabrics.

  60. I like both colourways, but I'd choose the browns (this week anyhow!). I need a new quilt for my bedroom, and the browns would fit right in. Thanks for the chance to win.

  61. Love these fabrcs, especially the blues – I would make a quilt to go on the back of the rocker on our porch – it would be perfect. Fingers crossed…..!

  62. I like the tow bundles but I will see the Flowering one is still in a summer way with some blue stuff. I'm not really in a hurry to enter in the cold sesons 😉

  63. I am in love love love! with this collection! The earthy tones are my favorites because they remind me so much of my sister Catherine's house. I don't see her very often and miss her so much! Out of 4 sisters she's the only one I have yet to make a quilt for. I'd love to win these colors…I'd put them to use for her!

  64. OMG Wow! I just adore these fabrics!!! I LOVE the blue/green Flowering Hollyhock Cottage colorway because blue is my favorite color and would make a gorgeous quilt! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

  65. The collection reminds me of the gentleness of the blue collection (Blueberry Crumb Cake???) from last year. I like the blue colorway.

  66. Of all the beautiful color combinations I would choose the browns, tans, etc of the Hollyhock Cottage collection. My daughter have their very first houses that they are decorating it so it becomes their home and they are both using this type of coloring. I'm becoming envious and feel it's time to really kick it up a notch in my own home!

  67. A very tough decision as I love them all. However, I think I'd chose the browns, as they present the largest gap in my stash. swdav at xtra dot co dot nz

  68. very tough, I love them both, but I'd have to choose the earthy brown tones, as they would work beautifully into a quilt I want to make for my BFF, shhhh!

  69. Greetings from Northern Saskatchewan CANADA! I love anything Lynette Anderson and this new collection just gets better and better! The colors are awesome. I would love to use this group with my Fernhill Button club! Thanks for the chance!

  70. Oh the browns…definitely! I find browns hard to come by and they go so well with so many colours…love my browns!
Sure hope that bundle finds it's way to my home in New Brunswick Canada…

  71. I think the flowering Hollyhock cottage would be a lovely bundle to win because I do not have many of those blue grey tones in my collections. They would be a great addition for a traditional quilt pattern or civil war designs. Thanks for the chance to win these lovely new fabrics.
    Regards from Western Canada,
    Anna

  72. I love the "Growing" colorway. I love its earthy feel; it would make a lovely throw quilt for my husband's office, or would be beautiful in our guest bedroom of our 1890's house. But both colorways are gorgeous!
    Thanks for the opportunity!
    Erin

  73. Definitely Growing Hollyhock Cottage. I love browns and these are wonderful brown tones. I was told as a small child that brown was my colour. When I offered my daughter a magic tile quilt with browns and golds she insisted I keep it for myself as those are my colours.

  74. What a wonderful collection of fabrics. It is difficult to choose a color but I would go for brown.

    Mariette

  75. I really like Growing Hollyhock Cottage. I like the blue and brown sets a lot, and the Growing Hollyhock Cottage is a nice mixture of blue and brown!

  76. I really like that collection. All nice colors but I would choose the brown growing collection. As I walk past my cupboard of quilts-I notice they are all in shades of brown. Why change now! 🙂

  77. I would love to win the Flowering
    Hollyhock Cottage because 'blue' has
always been my favorite color !

    Marilyn S.

  78. Love the Flowering Hollyhock collection – it would be perfect for making accessories for my bedroom when I redecorate it.

  79. the flowering color way is my favorite of the exciting new 'hollyhock cottage' collection. love the smoky blues and greens, gorgeous fall colors.

  80. Lynette Anderson and Lecien have done it again! I absolutely love these colors. If I were lucky enough to win, I would choose Growing Hollyhock Cottage because it would go so well with the fieldstone walls in my sun room. But then I would come back and buy the other bundle because they're all just gorgeous!

  81. Both are beautiful but I would choose the Growing Hollyhock Cottage. The colors are so rich and I would love to make something with a "mushroom" tone! Thanks for the chance!

  82. Oh, they are BOTH lovely, but I would choose the Growing Hollyhocks… I've been flirting more and more with browns and neutrals, and it's adding a whole new dimension to my quilts. I just love the range from traditional to contemporary, too!

  83. Flowering hollyhock cottage – the green, and blue colorways are so intriguing. Think I would make a warm comfy quilt for wintertime.

  84. I love both coloways! If I would have to choose I would probably go with the Flowering Hollyhocks! Thanks for the chance!

  85. The flowering Hollyhock Cottage is for me – love the color palate and it would make great cushions for my couch and a table runner and …..

  86. Really lovely fabric! I would choose the Growing Hollyhock Cottage collection – I love the earth tones in that collection – I can picture a cozy quilt which I would wrap around myself during the upcoming chilly (hopefully not TOO soon!) weather!
