At Fat Quarter Shop, helping is a huge virtue for us. Earlier this year, after seeing the shock that Hurricane Harvey left all of our friends and neighbors in Texas in, we decided to start the Healing Hearts for Hurricane Harvey Relief.
We created the Healing Hearts Pattern, had a charm pack sale, and auctioned off a completed Healing Hearts Quilt, in which 100% the proceeds went to the JJ Watt Foundation Houston Flood Relief and the Rebuild Texas Fund to provide supplies, assistance and support to those affected by the hurricane. Fat Quarter Shop also matched all employee donations towards Hurricane Harvey Relief. The response we got was overwhelming! We were completely blown away by how much the quilting community we are proud to be a part of was willing to help those in need through our relief efforts.
We are so extremely excited to announce that through our fundraising efforts for Hurricane Harvey we have raised over $45,000! In addition, our beautiful Healing Hearts Quilt was auctioned off for $1,320!
For those who would still like to donate, the Healing Hearts Quilt pattern is available until October 31, 2017 and 100% of donations will be going towards the JJ Watt Foundation Houston Flood Relief.
We are so grateful to have such a great community behind us in helping us raise this money to go to those who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Thank you to everyone!!
