Happy [almost] Worldwide Quilting Day! We are two days away from celebrating the day that truly “binds” us all together! We have designed a brand new, FREE Pattern to give to you to commemorate our favorite day of the year. The pattern is called the Piece, Love & Quilting Quilt and we made our versions using Bella Solids by Moda Fabrics. It comes in two sizes – Mini Quilt and Lap Quilt, so you can pick the one the suits you best!
In addition to the free pattern, we are launching a Quilting Day contest! We want to see your version of the Piece, Love & Quilting pattern! See all the details for the contest below.
How to Participate
ANYONE is eligible to participate in this contest! All you need is the FREE Piece, Love & Quilting Pattern and some fabric and you’re ready to go! The challenge will run from today, March 16, 2019, to Sunday, March 31, 2019. The wall hanging finishes at 22.5″ x 26.5″ and you can leave as a wall hanging or take a creative spin and turn it into any project you’d like!
How to Submit Your Project Photos
You will need to have your Piece, Love & Quilting project made, photographed and uploaded to this Dropbox by noon (12PM) CST on Sunday, March 31 to be eligible to participate. The link will expire at 12PM CST on Sunday, March 31, 2019.
FILENAME: When you upload your file to the Dropbox, please follow this format for the file name: yourname-youremailaddress. If you do not put your email address in the file name, there will be no way to contact you if you are chosen as one of our winners.
Picking Winners
This will be a judged challenge. We will be looking for technique and creativity in the project when judging the projects. We will narrow it down to our top 10 choices by April 3 and then let you decide which projects you like the best! The most important thing is to have fun and let your creativity shine through your project!
*A note about CONTESTS: We all love winning prizes! Please remember that while prizes are fun, the main reason to participate in a contest should be to enjoy the process of making, and hopefully finishing, a lovely new creation of your own. Thanks so much for the Quilt Day challenge. This is a first for me and I had a great time. Your pattern was really easy to follow. I might just make the lap quilt!
