FQS Staff Takes on a BOM Month 4

Hi everyone and welcome back to another monthly recap of our Block of the Months!

Kimberly and the FQS team have been busy prepping for Spring Quilt Market in Minneapolis but that didn’t stop her from sewing all kinds of amazing things! Including our fourth Snapshots Quilt Along block, Puppy Love.

This month she’s feeling the Christmas spirit in April, so Kimberly decided to make her 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month block in the Santa Express collection by Riley Blake Designs. We love that she fussy cut all of the cute Santas for the border!
And she also trucked on with her Threads of Time BOM! Loooove those wonderful flying geese and half-square triangles, they never get old.

Jocelyn is halfway done with all of her blocks for the Chandelier Quilt Along. Don’t these blocks remind you of spring?

Codi had a hoot making Pat Sloan’s Vacation Time Mystery Block of the Month.
Then she’s off to the races with the 2015 Aurifil Designer of the Month quilt. Codi used a mixture of Daysail and Derby Style fabrics to create this mini quilt fit for the Kentucky Derby!

BONUS! Since she loved the Puppy Love block so much, she sewed up her own version in the Gossamer collection by Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics. Isn’t he a cutie?

Daniar’s Moccasin Block of the Month blocks are coming along! This month, she tackled blocks three and four. If you’re sewing along, don’t forget to show your progress on instagram with #mocassinbom.

This month’s Zelda Quilt Along block is none other than Zelda herself (defnintely one of our favorite characters)! Kat also sewed Zelda’s alter ego of the parallel world of Lorule, Hilda. Don’t they both look smashing?

You might be wondering where are Sarah and Nova are? Well, our lovely pattern writers have been busy cookin’ up some new It’s Sew Emma patterns that we cannot wait to show you! And they have also been busy sewing some exclusive Fat Quarter Shop quilts as well. These busy bees promised to have their block of the months ready for next month!
