Today, as our Designer Mystery Block of the Month Club approaches its 14th year, we’re taking a look back at all the Designer Mystery quilts over the years, and we’re inviting you to join us for this Designer Mystery Quilt Festival!
If you’ve ever made a Designer Mystery Quilt from 2008 until now, we want to see it! Starting today, from April 29 – May 6 we invite you to join us in sharing a photo of your quilt or quilts to celebrate. We’ll be looking for your quilt photos this week, and we can’t wait to see them.
- To participate, share your quilts on Instagram with the hashtag #FQSQuiltFest and #DesignerMysteryBOM
- If you have quilt details, add those in your post! We’d love to know the year of the club, when you sewed it and even what you were doing at that time!
- Tag @fatquartershop so we can see and share your post!
Before you leave to go post your photo, we wanted to show you some of our favorite Designer Mystery quilts from over the years!
The First Quilt
Designer Mystery Block of the Month started in 2008 with this quilt made with Peace on Earth by 3 Sisters. Kimberly Jolly designed the setting for the blocks.
Each quilt reminds us of what we doing at the time. To read more, click on the images below to see them in detail.
If you’re interested in any of these patterns above, we have complete PDF pattern sets for years 2011-2020 available on website.
With all that’s happened since 2008 we can only imagine what the next fourteen years will bring! Now, it’s your turn to share your quilts with #FQSQuiltFest and #DesignerMysteryBOM on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to tag Fat Quarter Shop so we can see and share your work!
