We have successfully completed our Clementine Quilt Along fundraiser for St. Jude. Our quilting community generously donated $14,077.
Moda and the Fat Quarter Shop made donations of $10,000 each to make the grand total donation $34,077!
Each year, the Fat Quarter Shop teams up with Moda and the quilting community to raise funds for charity. In 2018, we selected the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the beneficiary of the Clementine Quilt Along. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital helps advance cures and means of prevention for catastrophic pediatric diseases.
During the quilt along, Clementine members donated funds to St. Jude. Pat Sloan auctioned a beautiful Clementine Quilt Along quilt at the end of the program, with 100% of the auction proceeds going to our St. Jude campaign.
Although the quilt along is over, we have a limited number of quilt kits for the Clementine quilt using Mama’s Cottage by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics still available! Introducing our 2019 Charity Quilt Along, Threadology!
The 2019 Threadology Quilt Along, benefiting Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas begins in February 2019.
We started this fundraiser to help grant wishes for children battling critical illnesses.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you’ll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building’s elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals say, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better emotionally and even physically.
Together, Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will match up to $20,000 of your donations in 2018 to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas fundraiser. Please visit our Make-A-Wish donation page to help us get started towards our goal of $15,000!

About the Quilt Along
From February through June 2019, we will post the free block and finishing patterns on our blog to download and print on the 1st and 15th of the month. We’ll also post video tutorials to show how to make the blocks.
We ask that you donate $5 to our MAW Fundraiser for the use of each free pattern.
