Hi everyone! It’s Kimberly today on the Jolly Jabber and I’m going to show you how you can sew up a table runner that’s going to WOW everyone! Our newest Antique Tablerunner pattern features a beautiful intricate braided border made with the 3″ x 6″ Braided Border Paper by Triangles on a Roll. It looks intimidating but it’s really very easy! For my center, I just used a beautiful cheater cloth print.
I sewed up my version using the Color Daze collection by Laundry Basket Quilts for Moda Fabrics and the Vintage Linen Picnic Quilt Panel as the focal point. I also used it for my backing!
Hi everyone! A couple of months ago, Fat Quarter Shop, along with Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts, hosted a Heart’s Content Thread Box Contest on our blog where we asked you to use Edyta’s Heart’s Content Thread Box and create an original applique quilt design! Now that we received all of the entries, it’s time for YOU to vote on your favorites.

Calling all Edyta fans! Edyta of Laundry Basket Quilts created an exclusive project for Fat Quarter Shop called the Candy Dish Table Runner Quilt.
This quilt finishes at 14″ x 28″ and features Silhouettes for easy, raw edge applique. It doesn’t sound like those words should go together, but try it! Learn more about this beautiful quilt and how you can make your own in our video with Kimberly and Edyta.
We kitted it all up for you in our Candy Dish Table Runner quilt kit which includes the Candy Dish Pattern, silhouettes, her Heart’s Content fabric for binding and backing to get you started. Then you can embellish your table runner the way that Edyta did with her Dancing in the Rain Silhouettes. Let us know if you are a raw-edge applique fan or if you’ll try it for the first time! Thanks for tuning in to the Jolly Jabber, happy quilting!
