Blogger Choice: Jeni Baker - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Blogger Choice: Jeni Baker

The Fat Quarter Shop and Jeni Baker of In Color Order have teamed up to present you with a Fat Quarter Shop Exclusive! Jeni has specially selected 12 of her favorite prints along with 3 coordinating Pure Elements Solids from our store for this special bundle found only at the Fat Quarter Shop.

Q: What will you be making with your Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundle?
A: I made a quick lap quilt with my bundle! I really wanted to showcase the prints, so I used nice big blocks. I’ve created a tutorial for it if you would like to make one too! You can find it on my blog.

Q: What quilt project are you currently working on?
A: I am currently working on Aneela Hoey’s Bloom quilt. I’ve just finished up the top and am getting ready to quilt. I’ve loved seeing it come together these last few weeks!

Hot Seat:
1. jelly roll or layer cake
2. planned or scrappy
3. prints or solids

Leave a comment on this post choosing one of each pair you think Jeni would have selected. Answer correctly and you will have a chance to win one of her Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundles.
You have exactly one week from this post till the contest closes.

Good Luck!

  1. Layer cake, planned, prints would be my guess. I think that the scrappy looks best when it is planned scrappy!

  19. I think layer cake, scrappy and prints.

I have to say though that I LOVE that bloom pattern. I've never seen that one before. And I also really like the one you made with your FQB. I love that the triangles are big enough to really enjoy the prints.

  20. Layer cake, planned, prints. Jeni is so darn cute and talented. I adore her style. George isn't too shabby either. Thanks!

  24. Layer cake, planned (to be scrappy-looking), prints. Thanks! A fabulous bundle; the colours are amazing together.

  25. Oh no I hate guessing games, I'm horrible! And I'm really conflicted with planned vs scrappy..

    Layer Cake/Planned/Prints

  26. Layer cake, planned, prints. (Although I think the planned part should read as a plan for a scrappy look).

  27. I guess Jelly Roll, layer cake & prints,
    so lovely colours,
    thanks for the chance,

  28. Jeni's color choices are gorgeous. The golds glow but don't dominate, which isn't easy.

My guesses are: Layer Cake, scrappy, prints.

  29. Layer cake, planned & prints. This is a very striking bloggers choice collection. It speaks to various quilters interests. I am becoming very interested in a more "modern" look to the quilts of the future.

  30. Love Jeni's blog… I would think Layer Cake, Planned and prints:D Hoping I'm right and that win, great bundle!

  31. these are the colors my best friend is planning on doing her nursery in *fingers crossed*
