We’re nearing the end of another season of blog remixes! We had so much fun with the remixed projects from last year that we had a go at round two! The blog remixes revisit previous tutorials with updated fabrics, notions, and tips and tricks to inspire you to make your next project. Whether you’ve seen this project before or it’s your first time, there’s a remix project for everyone.
There are several fun projects in the Sew Solid series! The first is an ALL NEW design – a nod to one of the hardest-working tools in our sewing room.
We sewed A Cut Above The Rest in Bella Solids by Moda Fabrics.
A Cut Above The Rest
Can you imagine quilting without a rotary cutter? We certainly wouldn’t want to! A Cut Above the Rest is available as a FREE pattern and Quilt Kit so you can sew up your own. It finishes at 13.5″ X 38.5″, the perfect size to adorn your sewing space.
Who’s Sewing Along?
We partnered with some of our favorite makers to recreate these projects in new, fun and creative ways. Our quilty friends took the Sew Solid Mini Quilts to the next level! These bloggers remixed the A Cut Above pattern in colors to match their Olfa Rotary Cutters for a sew-cute wallhanging for their sewing rooms.
The Nail Polish Quilt and A Brilliant Cut Minis
The Nail Polish Quilt was born from a love for Kimberly’s favorite nail polish color, OPI’s Cajun Shrimp. The finished look can be done in your favorite color to match your sewing room. Kimberly also sewed up A Brilliant Cut, which is another sew cute and feminine mini quilt you’ll want to hand ASAP! A Brilliant Cut also makes a great wedding gift for the newlyweds in your life.
