By now, you probably know how much we love precut fabrics. We adore Fat Quarters, Charm Packs, and everything in between, but there is no cut quite like a Half Yard! We thought it was time to give some love to these one-of-a-kind precuts with the Simply Half Yards Book, which inspired the Simply Stars Quilt Along using blocks from the book!
The Simply Stars Quilt finishes at 64.5″ Square, and Kimberly will be sewing it up with Cinnamon & Cream by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics. So pick up your Simply Half Yards Book, download the fabric requirements, grab your favorite Half Yard Bundle, and come back on November 15 for the kick off! From November 16 – December 21 we’re inviting you to sew along with us and share your block progress each Wednesday.
As we count the days until this Quilt Along starts, we will keep you updated through email, social media, and here on the blog when it’s time for these to start sewing these shining stars. You can get ready by gathering supplies from the Simply Stars Sew Along supplies page.
The Simply Half Yards Book includes 16 designs to make half yard-friendly quilts. These designs fall into one of four types, including One Block quilts that feature an all-over block design, and Big Block quilts with a single large-scale block as the focus.
