How does Sewcialites work?

We’ll release one block every Friday, starting on Friday, October 21, 2022, with breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Make a date with us each Friday for a new block pattern on our blog, and watch Kimberly’s block tutorial on our YouTube Livestream the same day. Each designer will post their block on that day, too!

Invite your friends to join as we make one block each week from October 21, 2022, to April 14, 2023, with two more weeks afterward dedicated to finishing and backing the quilt.

Sewcialites 2 Quilt

Kimberly started her quilt with a Dwell Fat Quarter Bundle by Camille Roskelley for Moda Fabrics. She’s using SKU (55276-32) for background and SKU (55275-13) for binding.

This quilt is designed to look great in a variety of collections, so choose your favorite and get ready to sew along!

We also have a bonus finishing pattern, if you want to make all three block sizes then you’ll need Kimberly’s Finishing Pattern.

How hard is the Sewcialites 2 quilt?

The Sewcialites quilt is made up of 24 blocks designed by 24 designers. Each pattern is marked with the difficulty level, from Beginner to Experienced. They all have straight seams and use traditional piecing techniques.

Sewcialites 2 Quilt Along Quilt Size options graphic

This quilt has THREE size options (3”, 6”, and 9” finished blocks), so start by selecting what size quilt you want to make.

What do I need?

Get started with the Sewcialites 2 Information Packet, which includes the fabric requirements, a coloring sheet, the complete block schedule, and a list of optional foundation paper supplies. The fabric requirements are listed for each quilt size, but you can certainly start with your stash. All the quilt sizes are precut-friendly! We recommend starting with a Layer Cake for the 3″ blocks, and using a Fat Quarter Bundle for the 6″ and 9″ blocks.

  2. Oh I would love to have that charm! Seriously thinking about using Cinnamon and Cream. Love this line and looking for a quilt to make using it. Or maybe Buttercup and Slate if I decide to try the 3 inch blocks. Yikes!

    1. Wow! What fabric? I love Butercup and Slate. But I also love my All Hallows Eve fabric. Not sure. Who knows, maybe I will go scrappy. No matter what, it is going to be a wonderful time.

  3. I’m thinking of using Merry Little Christmas collection by Bonnie & Camille. Very excited to participate!!

    1. I’m so looking forward to this SAL. It will be finished just in time for a special birthday gift for my granddaughter so I’m going to be using gradient pastels with purples as my background.

  4. I loved last year’s sew along! I wasn’t going to do this one but after looking at the blocks I think I must. Can’t wait to shop for the fabric! I might tackle the 3 inch this year. Sew excited now!!!

    1. What a great group of designers. I participated in the last one and learned a lot. I’ll be looking at my precut collection and see what would work. Can not wait!

      1. I have several leftover pieces of layer cakes of Lori Holt’s (Stitch, Bee Cross Stitch, Bee Gingham), so I’m thinking of using them for the 3″ block size! I love that you give us the different size choices!

  5. I am so excited! I was waiting patiently for a quilt along to use my beautiful Santuary bundles by Moda!

  6. I’m trying to use my stash, and this quilt will look lovely in 1930s prints. I can always supplement them with Lori Holt fabric too, if I get bored of them. 😉

  7. I think I’ll be doing mine using charm packs of Bella Solids. This will be the perfect time to work on my colour theory skills, and tiny piecing with those 3” blocks!

  8. This looks like another fun project. I think I will go with the 3in blocks. But now to pick out which fabric to use. Always such a challenge. Excited to begin.

      1. I am so happy to have found this sew along! I love the design and will be browsing FQS for a fat quarter bundle and fabric….:)

  9. Oh goodness! So much wonderful fabric! I love Beautiful Day, love Nantucket Summer!! I will have wonderful dreams deciding.

    1. I have no idea ye, but wanted to get in on this giveaway!! Oh what fun this is going to be !!! I’m thinking maybe a Christmas Quilt would be awesome, but I do love red, white and blue !! But maybe scrappy !! Still working to get my Sewcialities 1 quilt, quilted !! Decisions decisions 🤔

  10. I am really excited for this sew along. I think would like to use bright batiks in all colours. Thank you for the chance to enter.

  11. This is my first sewcilites . Looking forward to sewing along with you all. I think I am going to make mine scrappy and use up some of my stash. But may change my mind until then.

  12. I made 3″ last year. Going bigger this time to 6″. So I am planning on using the new Threads That Bind fat quarter bundle by Blackbird and using scrappy lights for background (maybe). 🙂

  13. I loved this last year and looking forward to this year. I am going to do a scrap buster with my Sherri and chelsi fabrics.. cant wait to start

  14. I think I’ll use my new ‘Prairie’ line from Lori Holt. There’s no lights in the line, so it will be easy to pick the background!

  15. Oh geez, after seeing all these great designers I HAVE GOT to participate in this sew along 😊I can’t make up my mind which size I want to make, once I do will decide on my fabrics. I have some beautiful layer cakes for a small one and Sherri & Chelsi’s Happy Days fat quarters for the larger size…. decisions, decisions. Can’t wait to get started!!

    1. Ready to get started. I’m going to do two, 6” & 9”. Probably use Frisky for one and Buttercup & Slate for the other. I’m really trying to challenge myself so I can’t wait to start!😁

  16. I love how you showed the blocks before the sew along! It makes the decision to join so much easier!!! Looking forward to this one – such lovely blocks.

  17. This will bevmy first sewcilites . I’m looking forward to sewing along with all of you. I think I am going to use up some of my stash on this quilt, but who knows I may change my mind before we start.

  18. I am going to sew from my stash. I always plan to do that but end up changing my mind and buying more fabric! I’m determined to use my stash!

  19. I’ve been debating what to use my Hustle & Bustle fat quarter bundle for, perhaps this is the answer! Can’t wait to get started😁

  20. I will be using a variety of fabrics from my stash. I can’t wait to get started. I did the 6″ blocks last year. I haven’t decided which size to do the time.

  21. I am thinking of using Emma or maybe all my scraps from the last few sew alongs. Can’t wait to get started!

  22. I’m excited to start socialites this year! I enjoyed watching last year and I’m ready for the fun my!!

  23. I have a big blank spot on my sewing room wall just waiting for a fun project to hang up!!! I think I’m going to use some Ruby Star!

  24. I’ll be using either Lori Holt scrappy or Buttercup and Slate by Corey Yoder. I can’t wait, this is my first sew along!

  25. Sewcialites 1 was one of my very first quilts I ever made, so I’m super excited for Sewcialites 2! I made the 9″ blocks in S1, but this time I think I’m going to really challenge myself and make the 3″ blocks! I think it’ll be fun. I’ve got a couple of FQ bundles and a ton of Lori Holt fabric. I think I’m going to use one of the bundles/LC’s that I have. But, then there’s Buttercup & Slate & Dwell that are both beautiful. The decision is a difficult one.

  26. I am sew excited! I am just working through Sewcialites 1 and do not feel confident enough to do the Advanced blocks so I am going to be tackling the whole thing and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Off to FQS to see what fabric from my wishlist I want to use 🙂

  27. This looks like a great QAL! I am going to break into my “Curiouser and Curiouser” bundle from Tula Pink…I’ve been waiting for the right moment to use the fabrics! I might even go crazy and use a turquoise for the background, as Tula says…”turquoise is totally a neutral”!

  28. Oh! I have fallen in love with Pat Sloan’s Birdsong Fabric and just keep stashing more of it, so this will be the perfect project for me. It will be so sew much fun!

  29. I’m not sure what fabric I will be using since I just saw this! I will probably try to use some fabrics that I already have. Thanks for this!

  30. I love the quilt! I have to go through my stash of FQ bundles to decide what to use…..I’ve accumulated quite a few and better start using them! Something very colorful for sure – something that will have a scrappy look when finished.

  31. I’ve had my heart set on using Emma for this Sewicalites since I first saw the collection. I plan on doing a scrapping background.

  32. I am thinking of doing a scrappy and use up some fabric I have…which includes a lot of Lori Holt prints. Excited to see it all come together.

  33. I will be using scraps again for the 3” blocks. Enjoyed the challenge of the 3” blocks for the first Sewcialites quilt along. Fabulous charm!!

  34. My fabric plan is a scrappy-themed quilt which will be perfect with this year’s QAL.
Can’t wait to begin Sewcialites QAL 2!

  35. I am thrilled to do another sewcialite quilt. I learned so much from doing the first one. I will probably use material leftover from my quilt so they compliment each other.

  36. The plan this year, as it was last year, is to use scraps from my stash. I have SO much fabric here and need to start using it up!!

  37. Will be pulling from stash. Yikes! Hope I can do this as I am usually a “sew from specific collection” type of person.

  38. I’m going to try to do scrappy as I have a huge stash.
    Hope I can keep up.
    Love the FQS community!

  39. I’m going to use my much loved FQ bundle of Kismet by Sharon Holland for AGF. I’ve been saving this bundle for a great quilt design and the Sewcialites 2 quilt is it.

  40. This will be my first sew a long and I’m so excited! I think I’m going to use Corey Yoder’s Cozy Up fabric.

  41. I’m going to go to my local quilt shop and put together six fabrics that I love and use them in each block. I usually go scrappy (every block with different fabrics); everyone knows I have enough stash to do that. This one will be different. Can’t wait to start! Thank you for the opportunity and fun!

  42. Yayy! Can’t wait to get started on this! I’m going to use solids that I have been hoarding in my stash. Think I will do the 6” size.

  43. I have no idea which fabrics I’m going to use 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m new to Sewcialites and it looks fun! Now to decide on block size as well….

  44. I am looking forward to this quilt a long. I am thinking about using fabrics that I already have. I have fabric stashes at both of my homes. And my main colors will be Turquoise, purples and yellows in different patterns and shades. I love these colors of course their will be a couple of neutrrals also.

  45. This might be just the thing to help me learn different quilting techniques and to help tame my growing fabric stash that has exploded in anticipation of actually quilting!

  46. I was hoping this would be a two color quilt like last year. I had a lot of fabrics from a Kim Diehl line, but everything in this collection is dark red with one green print. I had even gotten some more of the green fabric for an accent and purchased a Kim Diehl background fabric. Today I saw the blocks for Sewsocialtes 2 and was so dissapointed that it was not done in 2 colors. I have only purchased a fat quarter once and it was christmas fabric. Now I don’t know what I am going to make the blocks out of. I loved doing last years sew a long so I guess I will be spending my afternoon in my sewing room looking for fabric to use. It just won’t be as I planned.

  47. I’m looking forward to joining in this year. I plan on using a mix of Mince & Simpson fabric from my stash. Really need to use up some stash. I may make the 9″ blocks.

  48. I want to make mine scrappy with some Lori Holt, Chelsea and Sherri and Corey Yoder. I’m so excited. Now just to choose a block size!!

  49. I am going to challenge myself and do the 3 inch blocks! Can’t wait to start. Thank you for all the fun stuff you think of. I loved the Boo Mystery Quilt this year.

  50. I am still trying to decide on fabric. I am thinking either ssomething bonnie and camellia or a quilting life’s emma. I am so excited!!

  51. I love this pattern! I will be using Lori Holt fabric. Can`t wait for Oct. 21. Thank you for doing this for us!

  52. I am scouring the site to find the perfect fabric. I love Flea Market and so many others. I am new back to quilting after I was so busy with my young son. I’m also doing the scrappy house blocks, which I love. I can’t wait to get started.

  53. Oh, yay! I missed the first Sewcialites, so I’m super excited for Sewcialites2. I have the perfect “bundle” I’ve put together from stash, so I’ll be using that. There are so many great ones to pick from, but if I were to purchase a new FQ bundle for this project, it would be Lori Holt’s Flea Market.

  54. This looks like so much fun!! I plan to use my Bonnie and Camellia stash. Looking forward to this!

  55. I am so excited to start my first Sewcialial sew along. I would love the cha to showy quilt guild friends and tell all of them about the sew along. I plan to use the Frankie Fat Quarter Bundle, it has a great variety of colors with different values. So excited I’m going to start pressing the fabric now!

  56. I’m so excited that Sewcialites is returning! I plan to use a variety of Lori Holt fabrics from my stash. Can’t wait to get started!

  57. There are so many great options to choose from! I think I’m going to try the 3″ blocks with my scraps and low volume background, and the 9″ blocks with low volume background and I’m thinking maybe Christmas fabrics?? So many options!!

  58. Love the layout for Sewcialites 2!!!! I’ve got to figure out my fabric, I’ll be making the 3″ blocks, so it will need to be almost solid colors. I’m having shoulder surgery on the 7th, so I may be behind at first, but I’ll catch up!

  59. I have an Edita Sitar Laundry Basket fat quarter bundle that is sitting in my stash. I will use that.

  60. I am still undecided. Half the fun is figuring out all the different options of what you can do. I pre-ordered the next line by French General and that was my original intent for this QAL. I might switch it up and use Beautiful Day. I might use my stash. I might order something new. I would love to order new, as there are so many great new lines coming out. I have been waiting for this all year. Thanks for doing this QAL again. I cannot wait for the fun. It’s one of the few I’m doing. I had to scale back. I just don’t have as much time and ability.

  61. I participated Sewcialites 1. I’m excited to join Sewcialies2. I think I’ll make the six inch blocks

  62. I can’t decide between flowers for freya by Linzee McCray or Fanciful Forest by Moma… I’ve been saving both FQ bundles for a while and am excited to use one of them for Sewcalities. Anyone have any input on which I should use?

  63. Thank you FQS for another Sewcialites. I loved last year and look for ward to another year of continued learning.

  64. I think I’m going to use a Bonnie and Camille layer cake called Vintage Picnic & attempt the 3” blocks!!! Can’t wait!!!

  65. I would like to use something from my stash, I have several fat quarter bundles that would be great.

    1. I will definitely need to find a fabric that I love to spend these months on. I did the first quilt in a 6 inch size and enjoyed the time and fabric and was pleased with my quilt. It was gifted to my sister-in-law who is wheelchair bound.

  66. This will be my first Socialists! I plan on using Starlight Gatherings by Primitative Gatherings. This should be fun!

  67. These designers and blocks are amazing. I may use my Linzee McCray fat quarter stash , mixing different lines – like the block patterns they are bright and cheerful. Thanks for the Sewcialites patterns.

  68. I’m undecided between a Kaffe bundle and the Kansas Troubles Hope Blooms. Too many choices that would look stunning.

  69. I’m going to be brave and make the 3″ option using an oldie but a pretty Sun Drenched Batiks Layer Cake by Moda. This is going to be challenging but so much fun!

  70. So many bundles to choose from…I have a Kaffe Fasset FQ bundle I may use as the starting point and add from there.

  71. Oh my gosh! I am ashamed to admit that my first Sewcialites top is not quilted yet, but I’m so excited for a new one! I’m currently without power after Hurricane Ian (no damage for us though. Prayers for those my fellow Floridians!), so this announcement totally made my day!

  72. There are always such a beautiful selection of fabrics to choose from. I have been drawn to Buttercup and Slate since I first saw it when you did the reveal of the new moda lines. Will have to think about it. Thanks for all you do.

  73. I have been sitting on a fat quarter bundle of Folktale and I think it will suit just fine. I have been in a bit of a sewing funk, maybe this will kick me into gear.

  74. I’m going to use my stash, but really like the fabric you picked. Excited to join in the SAL. Thank you!!❤️❤️

  75. I have not participated with this before so I’m excited about starting this sew along. I think I might use the Nantucket collection. Those colors are definitely in my color wheel!

    1. I love doing small piecing so I think I will do the 3″ block quilt with my collection of Jo Morton and repro fsbric

  76. SEW excited!!! I will be using my precious stash of Bonnie and Camille. I have fq’s, layer cakes, charm packs and yardage. Since they all play well together, I’ll pick and choose depending on the block requirements.

  77. I need to decide on size and look at requirements first, but I have some fabrics from the Lady Tulip collection that I am leaning towards using. I love this quilt design and am excited for it to get started. Thank you for this opportunity.

  78. I love this quilt design! I am going to make the 9″ block version, using my Farmgirl Vintage FQB and Best Friends Backgrounds 1yd Bundle for a totally scrappy feel.

  79. I’m so looking forward to this!! Although, I have a HUGE stash, I will be using something a little different for me!! Thank you yet again!!

  80. Can’t wait to start, planning on using Beautiful Day by Corey Yoder, bought a lot of it for another project and apparently put it off to make this!!! I probably have enough to make both the 9″ and 6″. so exciting…

  81. I plan to use a mash up of all the Tula Pink fabrics I have NEVER broken into yet (which is all the ones I own), along with solids I have on hand!! And the largest size will be the winner for me “I think”!!

  82. I just received the “Cozy Up” bundle by Corey Yoder recently. I’m thinking that would be lovely to use.

  83. This sounds great. As I love scrappy I will do mine using my scraps. Will try to keep up! This is my first sew along.

  84. This will be my first Sewcialites SAL, so I will used solids or almost solids like Crosswave from Moda.

  85. This is my first sew along with yall & I’m over the moon about it. I will be using the Bee Vintageline.

  86. This is my first Socialites sew along. I’m planning to do either the 3” or 6” and I think I will probably use Kim Diehl fabrics. Thank you Fat Quarter Shop and all the designers for sharing your time and talents! ❤️

  87. I am so excited to catch this project from the beginning this year! I would like to do 6” but am considering 9” with a reduced-sized border. I have several collections to choose from and am still deciding on the fabric. I have a variety from Moda’s Sanctuary, a collection of lemon/lime/purple/deep Royal FQs and yardage I have put together for an unknown quilt, or my Bonnie & Camille Shine on 40 pc FQ set from my stash. So much fun to think about!

  88. I’ve got a layer cake of Buttercup & Slate, and I think I’m going to challenge myself with the 3″ blocks. Never sewed blocks so small, so I’m looking forward to this quilt-a-long. Thanks for getting all of this together!

  89. Oh, I’m so excited for another Socialites Sew Along! Last time I made the 9”. This time I’m going to make the 6” and 3”. Thank you FQS and all of the designers for the Quilty fun!

  90. This is going to be difficult to choose the fabric for so I might have to do scrappy I’m excited to do this sew along

  91. I have so many gorgeous fat quarter bundles, can’t wait to use them on this project, it is going to be a pretty quilt and I am sure I’ll have lot of fun to make it.

  92. I’ve been quilting for over 70 years and have the fabric to prove it. I will definitely be making the 3″ blocks using an older layer cake, Thank you to the Fat Quarter Shop!

  93. I am hoping my Emma Collection comes in from Sherri McConnell and Chelsea Stratton comes in. If not I will be using a fat quarter bundle from Kona Solids.

  94. Looking forward to trying the tiny size for Sewcialites 2. I will probably use my large stash of Zen Chic fabrics for this one, although there are always beautiful new things tempting me.

  95. Going through chemo for breast cancer, treatment days are Thursday so this will be so fun to keep my spirits up on Friday’s. I have Hope Blooms fabric I’m going to use to make 6” blocks. Looking forward to it!

  96. I did the last Sewcialites sew along using six inch blocks in solid gray with pops of solid pink, red and turquoise so thinking scrappy for this one.

  97. I am so excited to pick a fat quarter bundle & I’m still deciding between the 6 & 9 inch blocks.

  98. Such a tough choice but I think I’ll start with “Emma” and 9″ blocks and see where it goes.

  99. I am excited for this QAL. I think I will use my stash of Tula Pink fabrics for this QAL. Thank you FQS for everything you do for us> Your team is amazing!!

  100. I plan to use Dwell! I am looking forward to that line coming out, beautiful! My first sewialites sew along! I am excited. Love the size options!

  101. I’m new to quilting, so I don’t know which fabrics I’ll be using. When I look at FQS inventory, there are so many to choose from! I’m sure whatever I choose, it’ll be beautiful!

  102. I love this! So much fun! I am going to make the six inch blocks and use Lori Holt SCRAPPY…..thank you!

  103. I am going to use Love Notes. I bought a layer cake and some yardage for another project but after seeing this, I changed my mind. Love Notes will look beautiful in this quilt.

  104. I plan to use my MAKE TIME fat quarter bundle by Angela Hoey for Moda. I’m always excited for a QAL, the anticipation of each block pattern release is delicious. Thank you.

  105. I will be doing a scrappy version, with newly acquired additions to my stash, but will also need to purchase background. Off to shop . . .

  106. How exciting to be quilting along with sew many others. I can’t wait to see products. Color way will be turquoise with reds and blacks so I am going to search fabric FQ for those. I am definitely 6” squares as 9” too big quilt for me to handle.

  107. This looks so fun! I have a full cabinet of Bonnie & Camille fat quarter bundles, so I will probably choose from those collections. Can’t wait.

    1. I think I am going to try this with some fig tree fabrics or maybe solids. I’ll have to search my hoarding bins lol
      Very excited. Thank you!!

  110. I’m going to sew the 6” blocks. There are so many beautiful color ways and collections out there, it will be hard for me to decide which one to use for the quilt. I’m booking my Friday’s now for quilting!

  112. Can hardly wait for the Sewcialites 2 to begin. Thinking about the Beautiful Day bundle by Corey Yoder.

  114. I can’t decide if I want to do the small or medium size! the small looks like it’d be super cute but the small pieces scare me a little 🙂

  115. Count me in!! I am addicted to Lori Holt EVERYTHING so I am choosing one of her collections. Right now, I am leaning towards the Bee Gingham. I will be doing the 6″ blocks.

  116. I’ll be doing mine in some brights and white background – I have a lot of Tula Pink, Kaffe, and Guicy fabrics that I’d like to use.

  117. I have been hoarding Moda bee Fabric for a long time. I think this might be the place to use it.

  118. I’m am so very excited by the sew along. I’m not sure what fabric line or size yet! I just hope I can keep up. Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate being able to sew along with a group. ❤️❤️

  119. Hi,
I am very new to quilting and cross stitching. When I began a little over a year ago, I had never used a rotary cutter. It is amazing what I have learned from you and Lori! I will be using fun fat quarters that I have collected. I can’t wait to begin.
    Blessings 💗

  120. I plan on doing the 3 inch blocks with Lori holt fabric and I think a chambray blue for the finishing prints. Thanks for the great sew along and giveaway.

  121. Seriously thinking about doing Socialites this time around. I had wished so many times that I had participated in the last one but it just never seemed to work out for me. I watched Kimberly each week though. I did not miss a single episode. In looking around today for fabric, I may go with something I already have. I have several fat quarter bundles that might work. And I have a number of layer cakes that I could combine with together that might work. I have a FQ bundle of Spring Brook that I know I have enough if I can bring myself to cut into it. That’s my issue! But then again, something might just jump out at me at any given moment that would work too. Since the pattern and the tutorials are free, I don’t mind spending a little for fabric. Will not attempt the 3” blocks ever. Probably the 9” blocks will be enough of a challenge for me. I would love to have that binder to kind of manage it all and that Socialites charm is just too cute. Thanks to FQS and to Kimberly and staff for all of this! You all are just so awesome!

  122. I plan to sew along with you. Will we going scrappy to use up some of my fabric and learn how to make a quilt. Hope I can do it. Thanks

  123. Prairie by Lori Holt! I think I’m going for the 9 inch blocks to have a massive quilt! I learned sew much last year and cannot wait to start this year!

  124. Can’t wait I didn’t get the first one done ( yet ) due to health issues but plan to do this one and release some stres. I follow fatquarter shop religiously. Thanks for all you so

  125. I would love to use some of my fabric from Lori Holt and my stash for a scrappy quilt. Thanks for sharing these blocks😊

  126. I am Sew very excited to start another Sewcialites. I will be using a Bonnie and Camille fabric line or my Lori Holt Stash.

  127. Yahoo!! This pattern project really appeals to me. I this will be perfect for shopping my stash. Oh! how much fun I will be having this winter season. The notebook binder would be great for keeping track of my progress. Thank you for providing another fun project and sharing your talents with us.

  128. I think this will be sew beautiful in Country Rose by Lella Boutique. My very first quilt along. Yay 😀

  129. This is such fun! I am thrilled there are different sizes and plan to use Sewcialites as an opportunity to use up some of my lonely scraps! Even scraps need love too. 💜

  130. I have lots of Lori Holt fabric in my stash so I use that. I’m going to try the 6 inch blocks! It will definitely be a challenge for me! Can’t wait to get started.

  131. I’ve been saving my Stitched fat quarter bundle by Fig Tree for this project. Thanks FQS for another fun quilt along.

  132. I was looking for a QAL after finishing BH4 QAL. This will be a fun QAL because of all the designer that are listed. They all do beautiful designs. Thank you for doing this.

  133. This is my first sew along with the Fat Quarter Shop. I am so excited! I think I will use some solids for this quilt and I am going to do the large one. I can’t wait! Thanks so much for putting these quiltalongs together!

  134. I am going to pull from my solids and purchase a low volume fabric for the back ground for the background and blocks.

  135. I am pondering whether to use my Verna Mosquera fabrics or look for a fat quarter bundle stack that I haven’t used yet.

  136. I think I’m going to use my Starlight Gatherings fat quarter bundle. I love Primitive Gatherings fabrics!

  137. There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from. Can’t wait to see what everyone chooses

  138. There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from. Looking forward to seeing what everyone chooses. For myself, I’m still undecided

  139. Think I will do a quilt in shades of green and prints. I love the pattern pictures that I see.

  140. I have a great stash of 1930s prints that I have been holding on to. I think this will be the perfect quilt to use them in. Can’t wait to get started!

  141. I am thinking of doing mine in Betsy’s Sewing Kit by Poppy Cotton. Oh, what fun this will be!!

  142. I’ve never done this before, but I’m looking forward to it! I’ll have to look for fabric for it now.

  143. There are some beautiful bundles, but I have a ton of scrap fabric. I can only buy more fabruc when I have used all my scrap fabric. So I will be doing my quilt scrappy.

  144. I have been saving a fat quarter bundle of Hello Darling by Bonnie and Camille that I think I will use:)

  145. Oh my goodness I’m overjoyed at this quilt and all the wonderful designers making this possible- thank you so much!

  146. I learned so much participating in Moda Blockheads 4, that I am excited to start this next sew along. I will be using Bonnie and Camille fabrics.😊

  147. I have been looking forward to this and will probably use Flower Pot by Lella Boutique. I might do a 3″ version in scraps from Beautiful Day by Corey Yoder.

  148. So excited.. I can not wait to get started with everyone to make this quilt. I am going to have to go through all my stash or hmmm.. have a great excuse to buy a new bundle🤗. Sweet

  149. This is my first year and I’m going for scrappy solids in the 3” blocks to really challenge myself

  150. I’m so excited to participate in my first sew along. I’m going to use Bird Song by Pat Sloan!

  151. I loved the 1st one. I did the 3″ squares and LOVE the way it turned out. I did that one scrappy so I think I will choose fabric by Lori Holt.

  152. Definitely using my stash. I never finished last year’s quilt. Have gobs of fabric for that one and this one too. May make this one 3” and have it match last year’s start. Thank you! Sew excited to work on both! Maybe I can finish them together!

  153. I just ordered a couple of half-yard bundles of plain fabric that I might use with printed fabric from my stash! Thank you to all the great quilters who are providing these patterns.

  154. What a blast! I have been impatiently waiting for the announcement of Sewcialities all year! And right before my birthday! What a gift! My sewing BFFs and I can all sew together again! I have too many fabric choices to choose… I will have to watch, admire and learn again! Hey y’all from Kitchener, ON Canada!

  155. I plan on using Lori Holt’s Prairie for this one. I’m so excited for this year’s pattern.

  156. I’m using my French General stash for this QAL. I completed the first Sewcialites quilt and it turned out beautifully. Thanks, FQS for all you do!❤

  157. What a delightful project! ‘Planning to stitch two versions, one of a collection yet to be chosen and the other a 30’s Scraparoo. Both quilts will be based on the 6-inch blocks. Everyone commenting has such wonderful ideas and I’m so excited to see all this creativity in action. Happy stitching everyone!

  158. Looking forward to making a cute quilt and some different block designs, just need to pick a size now…perhaps all of them 😆

  159. This will be my first Sewcialties if I able to keep up. I have a layer cake of Lori Holt’s stitched fabric line and enough background to do the 3” blocks. Hoping I can manage the small scale as I’m still a beginner. But it looks like a lot of fun! As a beginner can someone tell me what the finishing fabrics are for? Thanks!

  160. I am so excited to make another sewcialites quilt! One of the reasons this is so fun is because it is one block a week and it keeps me quilting weekly. I plan on using my scrap fabric for this project.

    1. I will be using a bundle of Practical Magic by Edyta Sitar. I can’t wait to start!❤️

  161. Pulling fabric from stash (I get the FQ sew colorful bundle monthly) for this! Background fabric and backing to be determined (will play with coloring sheet). Scrappy all the way! Thanks for this!

  162. Sherri and Chelshi’s Emma collection should arrive in my mailbox soon. I think it will be just the thing I need for this sewalong! Or maybe the second Nantucket Summer FQ bundle I have, or Buttercup and Slate. Oh me, too many beautiful bundles to choose from!

  163. I’m really looking forward to this sew along. I think I’ll be doing the 3″ blocks. Fancy doing something small

  164. I would like to make this is red, white and blue but am not sure if that is enough color variation. I always buy kits because matching is not my strong suit. I am going to try the 3″ so if anyone reads this and has and red, white and blue ideas they would like to share it would be greatly appreciated!!

  165. Corey Yoder posted that she is going to use Buttercup and Slate. I have a 1/2 yard bundle of this and plan to follow her fabric picks. Don’t need to reinvent the wheel when you can follow an expert!

  166. Since I’m new to quilting I missed the first one… But I’m ready for this one! So exciting and fun! Ready to take it one block at a time!

  167. I am going to do the 9″ blocks with a Bonnie and Camille line that I already have. Thanks for offering this to us! You are so generous.

  168. Will probably use a few different color ways from my stash and break this up into table runners and toppers

  169. Love the quilt design! Will probably use fabric stash with background and backing TBD. Looking forward to it!

  170. I’m excited to join, I did not participate in Socialites 1, but am retired now. I plan to use fabric from my stash.

  171. Oh yay, I have been so excited for this to start!!! Not sure yet which fabric line I’m going to use, but I think I’m going to go with 6” block. Would try to do more than one, but I’m also going to be doing Scrappy Happy QAL so better stick to just one for now. Thank you so much for doing this!!

  172. I will use either “Dwell” or “Buttercup & Slate”. Love the choose your size option.

  173. I think I’m going to go scrappy. I’d love to try the 3 in but I think it may be too advanced for me. Might try it for the first couple to see, but I’m gonna plan on the 6.Very excited to join this year!

  174. Sew excited to start another sewcialites! I have no idea what fabric I will use. Maybe a Minnick and Simpson.

  176. I’m thinking of using Tula Pink Line Works along with Tula Pink True Colors Tiny Coordinates. I’m exc to start.

  177. This will be my first Sewcialities! I am a little overwhelmed by the sampler style, but this community is so great and I know this will be fun

  178. I’m am so excited for this to start. I plan on using Flower Pot fat quarters and some coordinating grunge fabric.

  179. How wonderful to be joining in the Sewsocialites! I plan on using Pat Sloan’s new fabrics “Bird Song” which I recently purchased from Fat Quarter Shop. Cant wait. The pattern looks beautiful!

  180. I really like my Emma fabrics from Sherri and Chelsie. Just received it last week. I also a lot of Civil War fabrics but I think this quilt needs to be happy and cheerful so it will probably be Emma fabrics.

  181. So excited to start this year, I found the sew along improved my quilting by doing all the blocks from beginner to the harder blocks. They were also fun being part of this sewalong.

  182. I plan on doing the 6 inch blocks with Lori Holt fabric. I have oodles of charming prints and colors. Now to check what I have for triangle paper.
This is my first Sewcialites Quilt along. I’m excited.

  183. I plan to use either Daisy Fields by Bev McCullough or Bittercup and Slate by Corey Yoder for my quilt.

  184. I have a lot of Lori Holt fat quarters that I’ve been saving, so I’m using her beautiful fabric! I’m going to make the 6” blocks.

  186. I plan to use material from my stash. Looking forward to this project. Thank you for this quilt along.

  191. Such a big decision……use my stash…..or maybe Shine On by Bonnie and Camille. So many decisions!

  192. This looks gorgeous. What amazing designers.
I’m fairly new to quilting so don’t have stashes ready to go, only my quilt kits and sew sampler boxes. I’ll have to go shopping and have a look and try and make a decision. That’s a challenge.

  193. This is a beautiful quilt and I’m excited to participate. I plan to mix and match my Tula a pink lines!

    1. Hi Margo! Congratulations you won our giveaway.

Keep an eye on your email. We will be reaching out with details about your prize. If you don’t see anything from us today then please check your spam and junk folders then let us know!

  194. Can’t wait! This was such fun last year. I plan to shop my stash for a fat quarter bundle to work with.

  195. This will either be totally scrappy, or a Fig Tree creation from my stash. Or maybe this is a great time to experiment with my 30s solids! Thank you!

  196. I am going to use my Love Note fat quarter bundle from Lella Boutique. I can’t wait to do this sew along!

  197. I’m thinking I may use my stash of French General or American Jane for this. Thank you to all the designers for this project. Looking forward to the first block release 🙂

  198. I’m very happy to begin another Fat Quarter Shop quilt! I love all the designers. This will be fun.

  199. I have left over Christmas Morning fabric and May throw in some fabrics from my stash, I think this would make a beautiful Christmas quilt! should be fun!

  200. I have some Christmas Morning fabric leftover from another quilt and some other fabric in my stash that I think I will use, I think this pattern will make a beautiful Christmas quilt! Thank You FQS and all the designers!

  201. I’m excited to do this year’s sewcialite quilt along. I am using an oldie but goodie…..Blueberry crumb cake. I got the fabric from an estate sale and just love it. Now I just have to choose a backing and background fabric from FQS and I will be all set.

  202. I am SOOO excited to sew along with yall on the Sewcialites 2 quilt! I may attempt the 3″ blocks, but most likely will make the 6″ blocks – maybe I will do BOTH! I am leaning towards my Lori Holt Scrappy FQ Bundle or maybe my Sanctuary FQ Bundle. I also have some layer cakes I could use for the 3″ size. I may opt for Buttercup and Slate or something really bright. I sure love Fat Quarter Shop!

  203. I’ve been saving my FQ Bundle of “One Fine Day” by Bonnie & Camille for a special occasion. I do believe this is IT !!

  204. I can’t wait to start! I’m going scrappy all the way! If I could choose any fabric though, it would be Leather and Lace and Amazing Grace.

  205. Either a very old fqb called Downton Abbey, or Sleepovers by Pat Sloan. Not sure what background I’ll be using yet, I have some time to think about it. 6” is most likely the size I’ll be doing. Can’t wait to start. Thank you FQS and all you wonderful designers for this wonderful opportunity to make and share with fellow quilters/stitchers.

  206. I think I may do one version in Love Note from Lella Boutique and one in Christmas fabrics. Can’t wait for this to start!

  208. Loved the first Sewcialites and have been waiting for this! Digging into stash for a fat quarter bundle.

  209. I’m going to use a mix of reds greens and whites from B&C, Fig Tree and Corey Yoder. This should be fun.

  210. A block a week? Looking forward to the fun and I’ll try my best to keep up. Nantucket Summer by Camille is my choice and the 9″block the format. Smaller size would be difficult for me to sew.

  211. No matter what I end up making my quilts scrappy. Am trying to use fabric on hand BUT may have to purchase a fat quarter bundle.

  212. I’m not sure what I will use for my blocks. I have a lot of layer cakes and matching yardage, as well as totes full of fabric that would be fun for a scrappy quilt….I just need to check the requirements. And then I will have to decide which fabric I can actually cut. I’m awfully bad about thinking I should wait for a pattern truly ‘deserving’ of my stash of lovely fabric. lol

  213. I have so many lovely fat quarter bundles. It will be hard to decide. It’s a toss up between Christmas Morning or Buttercup and Slate.

  214. So excited to start the new Sewcialites 2 quilt along! The first one was alot of fun. I plan to use fabrics outside of my comfort zone just as I did for the first one. I was very happy with the outcome. I have a collection of fat quarters that I put together myself and will use Lori Holt’s Shabby fabric in the color Tutu for the background. I think I’ll grab some solids to go with what I have and see what happens .Let the fun begin!!!!

  215. I am not sure what fabric to use. I think I will use from my Stash, but still need to decide on Background fabric. Might make it Scrappy. Something in Blue, my favorite color!!

  216. This will be my 1st time doing this so i will probably use something from my stash. I like a variety of fabrics and colors😊

  217. Thinking of scrappy and using my stash as well. My stash keeps growing and this project looks perfect to knock it down a bit. I have quite a few Kaffe prints …and maybe a dark background….

  219. What a Sewlebrity roundup! I may have to do this one in all 3 sizes. Thanks FQS and all the amazing talent.

  228. I love these fun sew alongs! I am planning to challenge myself again this year with the small 3″ blocks! I am planning to use Fig Tree shirtings fabric. You’re amazing!

  229. This will be so much fun! I can’t wait to get started. I have the perfect fat quarter bundle in mind.

  233. First time participating in Sewcialites. Will be using fabrics from various Robin Pickens collections.

  234. I’m a beginner quilter. I’ve only made one and it’s been hanging up for a few years. It’s time for a change! I know I can do this with the help of all my fellow quilters. I know I’m doing the 6″ blocks. Now to choose my fabric!

    1. Hooked on these great sew Along’s from Fat Quarter Shoppe.
Thank you, Kimberly, for so much fun!
Going to use fabric from my stash. Maybe all in the different shades of blue.

  241. I’ve had a FQ bundle of Petal Power for a while. Thinking I might use it! Thanks for the opportunity!

  242. I’m using Sparkler by Melissa Mortenson and planning to do 6″ and some of the easier 3″. I’ve got a layer cake, charm pack, and yardage of white, raspberry, gray, and navy. 245. I was able to purchase the 35th Anniversary Gift Box from Keepsake Quilting (2020? 2021?) – it included a layer cake of their fabrics from over the years. It’s heavy on florals (perfect for me!), as well as some geometrics, and blenders, in a wide variety of colors. I will most likely add navy as my background (navy Grunge?), in the 3 inch blocks. Tiny blocks are definitely a challenge for me, so this time, I plan to face it head on!

I have pulled all of my Kaffe Fassett Fat Quarter bundles and yardage from my stash for SEWCIALITES2!

  264. I am looking forward to this social group. Always great to see everyone’s use of color and style

  265. I am looking forward to this sew along. I’m going to use a fat quarter bundle I’ve had for a while – Cottage Bleu by Robin Pickens. Will also be using a very pale green for the background. Thank you for Socialites patterns.

  268. I am going to use my scraps to mimic what is shown on the website 🙂
    Thank you very much.

  269. I think I will give this a try. It’s just so hard to decide what fabric to choose! Maybe something from my Primitive Gatherings fabric stash!

  270. I’m new to quilting and taking my first beginner class in two weeks. I am going to attempt to keep up with this quilt along. I’m worried that my lack of experience will hinder my ability to do all the blocks but I cannot learn if I don’t try…right? I’m going to use a fat quarter bundle purchased from the FQS. It’s Jungle Paradise by Stacy Test Hsu for Moda Fabric.

  271. I plan to use a fat quarter bundle of Lori Holt. I will also buy her lights and use those for the background. I will make the 9” blocks and turn it into a king with borders. I will also use the triangle papers to help me do a good job on those half square triangles and flying geese. Finally, I plan on doing the long arm quilting myself as well.

  272. Had a great time doing the first Sewcialite! But still don’t have it set together, on my list to do as soon as some other projects are done. Looking forward to the new Sewcialite series.

  273. I am so excited to take part in this sew along. I completed the first sewcialite quilt when I first started quilting and learnt so much.

  274. Exciting because I enjoy the creating and difference of so many designers. I will make the first block of a black/gray/white bundle and play with bold left over scraps from Tula Pink. If I do not like so much will add color in a more subtle way.

  275. So many beautiful fabric lines to choose from!!Hmmm….I’m going to use Seashore Drive by Sherri and Chelsi. Beautiful colors and patterns in this bundle!!Should be fun!!

  276. Oh I’m so excited for this quilt along! I love Kimberley’s tutorials. So easy to follow.

  277. A friend gifted me with over 20 yards of random Timeless Treasures fabrics in 2-yard cuts. I will use that to make this a scrappy quilt. I can’t wait to get started!

  278. I think I will try this. I have a FQ bundle that I have had for awhile that is mostly low volume prints. My background and finishing fabrics will be especially important. Looks like fun!!

  279. Wow, I can’t wait to follow along with this! I need to go through my fabric stash and figure out how much more I need…

  280. Sounds like fun! Mine will be all scrappy since buying more fabric is not an option! Should be pretty.

  281. I missed out on Sewcialites 1. So I am really excited to participate in round 2. 🙂 I do not know what I will use for my fabrics yet except that they will have to be from my stash! I love a fantastic scrappy quilt mixing it all up! I love that you have a BINDER that matches the QAL. I am a binder gal. So I would definitely use this cute Sewcialites 2 binder.

  282. I’m going to use Tula Pink fabric. I have a Homemade layer cake, and will be doing the 3 inch sized again. I love working tiny!

  283. Songbook by fancy that design house. This is my first for Sewcialites and I am sew excited. Thank you Fat Quarter Shop and Designers.

  284. I really enjoyed the first Sewcialites sew along, so I am really looking forward to this one. I did the 6″ last time so I have decided to do the 9″ this time. I will be pulling from my stash (too big to justify buying more lol!).. I am loving bright colors right now so I will be using bright solids, mostly from Moda and then adding in some prints for texture.

  285. So excited to for Sewcialites #2. I think I’m going scrappy and will pull from my stash. This one is going to be fun too.

  286. I am looking forward to Sewcialites 2. I have been collecting fig tree fabric for the last couple years waiting for the perfect quilt. This is it. I plan to make blocks in all three sizes like Kimberly is doing. Can’t wait to see the layout utilizing all three quilt block sizes.

  287. Getting ready for Sewcialites 2 and found a fat eighth bundle Happy Days from Sherri and Chelsi in my stash. I’ll add other fabrics from stash when needed. I think I’ll be doing the six inch blocks.

  288. I have sooo many scraps – love to try new quilt paper just to use them up. Thank you for all the free patterns – makes it hard to choose which one is the eaiest.

  289. I am going to use fabric from my stash. I can’t wait to get started on this and learn from all the fabulous designers you have included this year.

  290. I am so excited to join this SAL!! I am thinking I will use my large stash of Bonnie and Camille but I may think about making 2 quilts and use my Tula Pink scraps:)

  291. I’m going to go scrappy and bright. I missed out last time and this is exciting!

  292. THis qal sounds like so much fun and can’t wait to start it. I am going to try and get the Emma fabric by Sherri and chelsi for this project. Now to decide on the size of the blocks-oh boy, what fun.

  293. I wanted to make last year’s sewlites quilt but never seemed ti have enough time. This year I am making time! I love the fact that it has the Ohio Star and Friendship star. Can’t wait to start the blocks!

  294. So nice to see the whole quilt right up front – makes selecting fabrics so much easier. Picking a background is always the hard part for me. Lots to choose from in my stash, however, including some (ahem) well-aged bundles. Let the fun begin!

  295. I am so looking forward to starting this quilt along. I love the layout and the blocks.

  296. I’m excited to participate in this quilt along! My best friend and i have planned to participate in this together even though we are 5 hours apart! I’m going to do the 6″ blocks and use my scraps, unless a fat quarter bundle calls my name!

  297. I did the sewcialalities quilt along last year and really loved it. I will be doing it again #Sewcialalites 2 with Sunday Stroll fat quarters by Bonnie and Camille. I’ve been looking forward to it. Thanks everyone for putting this together!

  298. I’m not sure what fabrics I will use. Most likely I will challenge myself to make the 3″ blocks using 1 of my many 10″ packs of fabrics. Am going to pilfer through my stash this weekend!

  299. I will use different fat quarters in my stash and use one background for all the blocks.

  300. Oh, that binder (badly needed) and that charm are so cute. I have several fat quarter bundles and lots of other stash that I’d like to use so will probably go scrappy with this one. Thank you so much for a wonderful QAL..

  301. After digging through my stash I think I’m going to use a variety of fabrics in black, cream and gray. I started with a ‘vintage’ Alexander Henry print of crows and built out from there. Of course, once I get going I probably won’t be able to resist adding a pop of color.

  302. Blue fabric from a variety of your fabrics. I love blue and plan on making the 3 inch squares and possibly the quilt size you are making to go along with the wall hanging. Blue….. I love blue …….. I’m excited….

  303. I will be using my stash for this sew along. A great set of blocks. I haven’t decided which size yet. Thanks again for this opportunity!

  304. Hi Sewcialites, I will be using the layer cake from boundless fabrics in blue, green, teal and turquoise. My background will be a soft cream color.

  305. I’ll probably use my stash, unless I find a layer cake/fat quarters that will work…oh the possibilities:)

  306. I like Nutmeg a whole lot. I will probably go with that and make 6″ blocks. I was just now looking at the Grunge choices for background. Maybe Roasted Marshmallow.

  307. sundrops or posh both by Moda. I may just make it scrappy. I haven’t decided on the size yet.

  308. I am still deciding on what fabric to use but think I am going to do half 3″ and half 6″.

  309. I’m thinking of using pinks, grays and possibly black/white. I am so very excited to be quilting along with you!

  310. This is a beautiful collection of blocks! I love a coordinated collection, but I need to use my stash. I am trying to improve my color pairings and this will be a good chance.

  311. I really have not decided on what fabric to use. I have several different Fig Tree fat quarter bundles as well as a couple of bundles from Corey Yoder so I may just order some coordinating background and go with one of those. They are all beautiful so I think they will work well. I participated with the first one so I would like to use a totally different type of fabric. I have anxiously been awaiting this one. Looking forward to it!

  312. The Celestial collection by Zen Chic caught my eye – can’t wait to use it for this!

  313. I plan to make mine scappy. I have leftovers from the layer cake I used in first Sewcialites. I have lots of other fabric scraps I need to use. I am trying to downsize and need to use my stash. This is just another great and fun way to do that. Thanks for the ideas and patterns.

  314. I will be using Promenade along with some coordinating solids. I may add in some fabric from 3 Sister’s Sanctuary line.

  315. I will be using Corey Yoder’s Pepper and Flax – been holding onto it for just the right project!!

  316. What a beautiful quilt. My friend and I are going to meet once a week and each make one.

  317. Thanks for doing this Sewcialites sew along again! Will likely go scrappy and mix fabrics from my stash with some new ones.

  318. I enjoyed the last sew along. Did the 3” blocks. May move up to the 6” block this time. So fun! Thank you FQS!

  319. I am probably going to shop my stash for this one…I have a tub of blues that are begging to be used. Probably with a pop of coral thrown in for good measure! I can’t wait to get started.

  320. This will be my first sew along and I’m super excited to try the 6” blocks and get to know all the designers on Sewcialites 2!

  321. I will use butternut and blue from my stash, left over from an old QAL with Barbara Brackman.

  322. I’m excited to get started on day one. Last sew along I was playing catch up. I think I’ll use belle isle fabric

  323. Thank you for doing this for us! I am using Cherry Chocolate by Kim Diel.
    Love this fabric collection!

  324. Oh yay!! I am so excited for this sew along. I will be using the Love Note collection. I am placing an order as we speak for my backing and binding. I cannot hardly wait for this sew along to start, it will be my first!! I would also like to say that the FQS is superior for products, customer service and shipping!!!!! Thank you for all of your hard work and free patterns!!

  325. I think I’m going to participate. I need to find a way to motivate myself into the craft room and off of the sofa and the socials in the evening.

  326. You’ve caught my attention and I am going to participate in this Sewcialities 2. Looks like fun!

  327. I am new to quilting and this will be my first QAL, so I am thankful for this opportunity. I plan to use Unruly Nature FQ bundle and Fableism Sprout for the finishing blocks.

  328. I think this quilt will be so fun. I would like to try the 3″ but have a little concern about my level of sewing…..thinking, thinking!

  329. The last sewcialites I did in blue and white. I’m thinking red and white or Green and white, but scrolling through saw someone mention laundry basket quilts fabric or there’s always Tula Pink, but then again could do my first all solids quilt – so many options.

  330. Echoing some other comments. Scrappy (maybe Civil War). I enjoy Sew-Alongs, and I hope to keep up with patterns!

  331. What a fun group project and something to look forward to each week from my favorite designers! Yeah!!

  332. This will be my first quilt along so I’m real excited. I have so much fabric so I’ll be going with scrappy and using up my stash.

  333. I’m going to be using this as a stash buster using scraps my church quilting group discarded. It will stretch my color coordinating skills.

  334. I didn’t do Socialites 1, but I’m getting ready for 2 as the blocks look interesting. I’m looking at Civil War fabrics as I have a bunch right now.

  335. I was only an observer last year, but I think I’m ready to actively participate this year. Now to choose the size! The three inch is calling my name, but what about the six inch? Decisions, decisions. Looking forward to the excitement!

  336. 🌹Verdict is in!! Beautiful Day with matching leftovers if I need!! Thanks for another QAL! 🌹🌹

  337. Do I use my Lori Holt fabric or do I go completely scrappy? Decisions, decisions. Thanks for offering this sew-along!

  338. Love, love, love everything FQS. Thanks so much Kimberly and staff for the content and wonderful videos you share with all of us to bring our quilting to the next level. I have learned so much from you and looking forward to this new quilt-a-long. I think I will make mine scrappy.

  339. My Sewcialites 1 quilt turned out wonderfully and was a lot of fun! These blocks look very interesting! I may use foundation paper for this. I will use my stash for the blocks in the 6″ size. Looking forward to starting!

  340. Binder
I would love to participate in Sewcialites 2. I will be using whatever fabric I can retrieve from the container we have all our household possessions in whilst we are waiting for our house to be built. It will most likely be a reproduction fabric, and most likely scrappy as that is what I mostly collect.

  341. I’ve never done a Sewcialites sew-along before. It looks like such fun! I plan to scavenge some lovely prints and solids from my stash, to make a colorful throw.

  342. This will be my first Sewcialites and I will be using Buttercup and Slate by Corey Yoder. I have all my fabrics and counting down the days to start!

  343. Just caught up to my Pat Sloan videos this evening and saw that a new Sewcialites sew along was starting – yeah! I looked through the fat quarter bundles and saw a real beauty – Dit Dot by Jason Yenter. I think those colors will be stunning and the bundle has 40 fabrics – more than enough variety. I will be ready on October 21!

  344. This will be my first ever quilt along! I am so excited to go through all of my fabrics to make this a scrappy sampler!!

  345. I will be doing Sewcialites 2 using Garden Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings, Threads that Bind by Blackbird Designs, and Maple Hill by Kansas Troubles Quilters. Patiently waiting!

  346. I am going to do the 3″ blocks using my Nature’s Pace layer cake. This will be my first Sewcialites QAL!

  347. I am using my stash, so excited! Love the binder! Will order that, Also backgrounds Kimberly mentioned were fantastic! Will look into those. Thank you for the time, effort, etc to put this together! Again we all appreciate FQS!

  348. I am so excited to again participate in this stitch along! I plan on using my scraps or Lori Holt and Moda fabric!

  349. This is going to be fun! I am definitely going with some new and older Tula lines. Thanks so much for putting this together at an extra big thanks to the designers.

  351. I am looking forward to sewing with Fig Tree favorites in all three sizes. Thank you Kimberly and Fat Quarter Shop for this new sew-a-long. This will be awesome for myself and all of your viewers,

  352. I plan to use some stash for this quilt along with a bundle from Fig tree!

  353. Looking forward to seeing along! I’ll be sewing from my stash with using Kim Diehl fabrics.

  354. I enjoyed Sewcialites 1 and have been hoping for a new QAL. Thank you to FQS for this opportunity!

  355. Looking forward to participating again. Last year was really fun and learned a lot. I will use solids to start with and some batics as contrast. Last year I used grey as a background but this year will go with cream.

  356. I plan on using one of the bundles I have, But which one o my! Can’t wait to get started. For now I just need to decide will it be Lella Boutique new collection or Lori Holts or Cory Yoder. So many pretty fabrics:)

  357. Looking forward to the sew along. The quilt design is beautiful! First thing — choosing the fabric and then printing the instructions.

  358. I’m going to join, make the 6” blocks, and use my FQS stash. I appreciate the opportunities to learn new skills you are generously giving away!

  359. I plan to use fabrics from my stash to create a scrappy look. I am so excited to get started.

  360. Just watched the u tube video, so much information and inspiration. I am challenging myself to do this sewalong either with the six or three inch blocks, using fabrics from my stash.

  361. This is a beautiful quilt! I hope to sew along and might tackle the 3″ blocks using a layer cake from my stash.

  362. I will go scrappy and use fabric from my stash. I love mini, so 3# blocks sound fun.

  363. I’m going to try pulling yardage from my stash. Either that or might try using scraps and a constant background. Can’t wait to start!!

  364. What fun!! Scrappy for me, and lots of sprinklings of my favorite fabric line Laundry Basket. I am thinking the 3 inch and the 6 inch!
The sew along starts at a perfect time, have fun everyone! Thank you designers and FQS!

  365. Looking forward to joining this sew along. I know it will be fun and the finished quilt will be beautiful.

  366. I finally found some time to catch up with e-mails. Excited that I did! Thank you Bev McCullogh for the heads up about this sew-a-long. I will be sewing the 6” blocks and using FQS in my stash that are a collection of blues and teals that I’ve been saving for a special project.

  367. FQS: Thank you for the fun sew-along! I plan on making the 3″ size blocks and will plan on using Nantucket Summer collection. I just ordered my background fabric choice of navy/white swiss dot.
    Thank you!

  368. I plan to use my fabric stash with random fabrics from lots of different designers. I can hardly wait to get started!!!

  369. I watched all the the original Sewcialites videos and planned on making the blocks this winter. However I’m going to join in with this new quilt along. Looks like some great blocks. Tula Pink True Colors fat quarter bundle that I purchased from FQS last year will probably be my fabric choice. Been saving it for something special.

  370. I’m excited to do this sew along! I’m going to make the 3″ blocks cuz I’m crazy for minis! I think I’ll use my civil war stash for this one and make it really scrappy!

  371. This will be my first Sewcialites sew along, Sew looking forward to it, I will be using my Lori Holt stash and will probably do the 6 inch blocks. Thank you FQS and all designers for making this happen for us, your grateful customers.

  372. I am looking forward to this project. I have some concerns but will face them bravely. Lol. I am thinking of buttercup and slate as my fabric line.

  373. I plan to use mostly from my stash – not sure yet which “group” I have that I will start with as I have a couple of different ones to choose from

  374. I am so excited! Loved last year’s Sewcialites and watching the video’s, they made my day. I plan to use Autumn Love by Lori Holt. So hard to choose!
