Our Heartfelt Quilt and Cross Stitch Chart benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas.

We are amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. Kids like Anais and Keysean have been granted Wishes that buoy their spirits and create lasting memories. The way the fundraiser works is that we offer the Heartfelt patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $20 for the whole cross stitch pattern to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. No amount is too small and every bit counts.

Heartfelt Cross Stitch Spotlight

We have a great lineup of stitchers stitching along with us (like you if you’re reading this)! We asked this month’s stitcher some questions, and she gave us some very heartfelt answers!

Christi Potter

Christi Potter of Javagirl Stitches is an avid cross stitcher who loves collecting supplies as much as actually cross stitching (we’re with you on this!). Christi is stitching with the Heartfelt AuriFloss Thread Box on Pale Gray Gingham 14 Count Aida by Fabric Flair, and you can see her progress below.

Javagirl Stitches Heartfelt Progress

We asked her, What cross stitch piece of yours has been the most “heartfelt” project that is closest to your heart? Why?

“My most Heartfelt stitch is Happy Farm Girl by Lori Holt. This piece brought me so much joy and happiness while stitching it that I didn’t want to put it down.

I love everything farmhouse and cutesy, so this piece was perfect for me to stitch. And that’s what cross stitch is all about. Creating something you love, the happiness it brings you, and connecting to others who love this hobby as much as you do.”

Heartfelt Charity Progress

Thanks to all of your support and generous donations we have been able to reach almost 90% of our fundraiser goal! The pattern might be finishing up, but we aren’t done yet! Keep an eye out for our Heartfelt Charity Auction in September when we will auction four beautiful Heartfelt quilts for Make-a-Wish!
