We’re ready for our next Charity Stitch Along pattern release! Are you excited to keep going? Today we’re sharing the next part of the cross stitch pattern for our Heartfelt design, a pattern inspired by our 2022 Heartfelt Charity Quilt.

The second pattern release is the first of our heartfelt columns! To make your cross stitch just like this one, download our complete Heartfelt Cross Stitch Supply List for all the details. The colors you choose are up to you, but we’ve collected some pretty supplies to get your stitching off to a good start.

Our Heartfelt Quilt and Cross Stitch Chart benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas.
We are amazed by the generosity of this sewing community and inspired by the stories of the children who have been granted life-changing Wishes. Kids like Anais and Keysean have been granted Wishes that buoy their spirits and create lasting memories. The way the fundraiser works is that we offer the Heartfelt patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $20 for the whole cross stitch pattern to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. No amount is too small and every bit counts. From February to August, we will publish a new pattern on the Heartfelt Announcement blog on the first Friday of each month.

Heartfelt Cross Stitch Spotlight
We have a great lineup of stitchers stitching along with us (like you if you’re reading this)! We asked this stitcher some in-depth questions, and she gave us answers straight from the heart!
Rika King
Rika of House of Stitch and Stash is a stitcher, blogger, photographer, and more. She has a wonderful FlossTube Channel where she shares cross stitch tips, quilting projects, and inspiration from her creative life! Rika is stitching up the Heartfelt Cross Stitch pattern with the Heartfelt AuriFloss Thread Box on Under The Sea 32 count fabric Lugana in Autumn.

Our question for Rika was What cross stitch piece of yours has been the most “heartfelt”, the project that is closest to your heart? Why?
Rika answered, “I think, just like most stitchers, we spend many hours creating tiny and delicate crosses, putting love on every single stitch to have something that symbolizes a part of our life! Whether its for our family or loved ones, every project is heartfelt but the one that is closest to me and my family is my Mirabilia Design “Lady of the Flag”.”
“My husband has served in the military for over 30 years with our youngest also serving in the Army. We have moved and traveled in many places but this project has hung proudly in our home after all these years (and currently has a special place in our home in Germany where we are stationed). It was a gift to my husband to symbolize the achievements he’s made in his career and how proud we are of him and the many sacrifices he’s made for our nation.”
“When I look back at all of the years I’ve been a stitcher I am also grateful for this craft. It has carried me through ups and downs of life and kept me company through deployments. I look at each project and it allows me to reflect on special moments and places. It allowed me to nourish a community of like minded people who share the same love for this craft. That too is most heartfelt.”
