With the Woven Hearts Sew Along finishing today and Thanksgiving right around the corner, we couldn’t feel more thankful for everyone who joined us to sew this beautiful quilt and make donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Thanks to our amazing community who showed their support for those facing a breast cancer diagnosis by helping to fund a cure.
Funds Raised for Charity
Thanks to your generous donations and support, we were able to meet and surpass our $10,000 goal, totaling over $13,000! Fat Quarter Shop donated $5,000, and ByAnnie threw their support behind the fundraiser to help put us over the top. Our hearts are full to bursting with gratitude, and we can’t wait to see all of your finished quilts now that the sew along has wrapped up. During the sew along, we offered the Woven Hearts Quilt Pattern for free, and starting tomorrow, November 20th, the pattern will be available for purchase for $5.98. You can also still grab the Woven Hearts Quilt Kit and Backing Set to join in on the quilty heartfelt joy while supplies last!
Since 2021, Fat Quarter Shop is proud to have donated more than $58,000 to breast cancer charities with the support of the generous quilting community. This year’s amazing charity, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, is responsible for discovering the BRCA genes and they fund scientists who’ve made numerous breakthroughs in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. For people everywhere, more wins against cancer can’t come fast enough, and we’re proud to join the fight with all of you!
Woven Hearts Quilt Auction
This year, our community was super lucky to have the opportunity to bid in an auction for the Woven Hearts Quilt, generously made and donated by Gina Tell (@gina_tell_threadgraffiti)! The winning bid was $685, and 100% of the proceeds went to our fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
