Spooky September Inspiration
Spooky Forever Simply Stamps
Our Spooky Forever Stamp is sure to put a spell on you! A smiling jack-o-lantern, a happy ghost, a pair of flying bats, and an eerie orange moon are the stitchy ingredients for this spook-tacular pattern. To finish brewing (aka stitching) up this spooky spell, pick up these three things:
Spooky & Sweet Mystery Stitch Along
Earlier this year, we hosted the Spooky & Sweet Stitch Along! If you haven’t made one of your own yet, now is the time to indulge in this pattern for a Halloween cross stitch that is the perfect balance of spookiness and sweetness.
Spooky Cute Ornaments
If you prefer Halloween to be cute rather than scary, the Spooky Cute Cross Stitch Ornaments by It’s Sew Emma are just what you need! Stitched in candy coated dream colors, these twelve ornaments reinterpret Halloween’s classic elements to make you smile as you say Trick or Treat and giggle while saying boo! Cats, pumpkins, witches’ hats, and more in classic orange and black are sweetened with touches of pink and fuchsia. Halloween has never been so Spooky Cute.
Signs of the Season: Fright This Way
Stitchy Staffer Denise is stitching the Signs of the Season Fright This Way pattern by Hands On Design but with a sweet twist on the original. She decorates with pinks and oranges for Halloween, so she recolored the patterns and is sharing those conversions with everyone here! Do you think you’ll use the original colors, this sweet recolored palate, or are you going to make one all your own?
Click on the images above to see them full-sized!
Get Involved!
Throughout September, our Stitchy Staffers will be sharing more of these spooky stitches using the hashtag #FQSSpookySeptember! If you use the hashtag to share your Halloween and Fall themed stitching, we might just share your makes on social media, and you may even see it featured on one of our livestreams!

Sorry, I don’t stitch or decorate for Halloween. I do enjoy stitching fall patterns, though.
These are adorable! I *need* the patterns! 😊
I already have my sweet and spooky on the wall, it is adorable, also two quilts of the sweet and spooky are getting binded this weekend!!!!! One will go to the Golisano Childrens Hospital and the other one to my daughter is Georgia
That’s awesome, Maria!
These are just too cute! I want it all, but alas budget gets in the way. Oh well, I still need some of it!
