Thank you so very much for offering free sew alongs and patterns. As a disabled RN (since 50 yrs old),on a very limited income, these mean a lot to me. It helps me to be able to piece quilts that I couldn’t if I had to buy the pattern. Making quilts has been a true lifesaver for me because I am basically homebound due to very advanced degeneration of my spine. It helps keeps depression away, and though I can only sew for very shorts time periods, it helps me feel like I have a purpose, and gives me something to look forward to.
I read your comment, and just let me say I am so sorry for your disability. I have chronic pain, but you are dealing with much worse then I. I have been out of work in the past, as an an RN it is a very difficlt thing to do. A nurse is who we are and it is difficult when we no longer have that. I am so very fortunate to have a job in Virtual nursing, where I still get to use my skills, but don’t have to keep us with the demands of running the floor. Anyways, I know how difficult it is to be without much money. I would like to send you fabric, thread, patterns, batting? Whatever you need. I give permission for Fat Quarter shop to give my email address to this viewer, so that we may connect. Thanks so much Tracy W.
I am having so m7ch fun with these sew alongs! The creativity and the suspense just make me smile! Thanks for all you do for us. It is very much appreciated.
