What do you need to make the Up On The Rooftop Quilt?

The Up On The Rooftop Quilt is a wonderfully whimsical quilt for intermediate to advanced quilters! Finishing at 46.5″ x 47.5″, ours has a festive collection of fabrics from different Moda Fabrics collections, including Berry and Pine by Lella BoutiqueOld World Yuletide by Fancy That Design House, and Crossweave

If you love these fabrics as much as we do, you can grab your Up On The Rooftop Quilt Kit and matching backing set now.

If you’re excited to take to the skies and add a dash of holiday cheer to your quilt from your stash, you can download the FREE Up On The Rooftop Fabric Requirements PDF and make your own holiday magic.

What do you need to make the Up On The Rooftop Cross Stitch?

The floss and cloth you choose are up to you, but we stitched ours with the Up On The Rooftop Classic Colorworks Thread Pack on Chalkboard Black 14 Count Aida by Wichelt. Take your stitching on the go with the Berry Mad for Plaid Project bag and don it with style with the Santa’s Reindeer Enamel Needle Minder.

If you’re working with a different cloth, you can use our free Cross Stitch Calculator to find your desired size. The Up On The Rooftop Cross Stitch measures 82w x 82h, and ours finished at 5 7/8” square when stitched on 14 count Aida!

    1. You didn’t miss it! The first pattern went out yesterday, Monday, July 14th and the first video went out today, Tuesday, July 15th. Sorry about the confusion!

  1. I’m really having trouble seeing the letter ‘h’ in the ho ho ho strip. For me it’s hard to read.

  2. Having trouble with black fabric fraying a lot. Hard to work with. I also
don’t see the ho ho ho clearly. The h isn’t clear for me.

    1. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one! Totally confused so I made my own in lowercase cursive …. I see it NOW

  3. Had fun with Part one of Up On The Rooftop”! Definitely recommend starching the fabrics! Am trying to be patient for clue two to begin. Guess I don’t know the time difference between Arizona and your location in Texas. Will keep waiting! Thanks Kimberly and crew!

  4. I am sure that trying to get the pattern for the letter h done in quilting was quite challenging. I’m sure that once the mystery is all finished it will look much better and easier to read. This has not been my favourite, but I will keep on going. I have finished the stitching for the first two weeks and quite thrilled with it. Hamilton, ON Canada

    1. Unfortunately, they won’t be restocked again now that they’re sold out. The full fabric requirements are available, though! We can’t wait to see what you make!

  5. Thanks for sharing the mystery quilt.I would like to know what fabric to use for reindeer up on the rooftop please 45628 thanksm
