  1. Love all the pictures from Market. I think you should include buttons and thread. Maybe in a little collectible tin.

  2. I don't know what you've included in the sampler boxes before but I'd love thread samples, fabric samples from various manufacturers (either different ones each month or several per month, or maybe samples of solids), hand quilting needles. I think sampler boxes might be hard because quilters are so individual — hand quilters, machine quilters, modern, scrappy, primitive, Civil War quilters, etc. A sample box is a great idea, though.
    –Nancy. (ndmessier @ aol.com, joyforgrace.blogspot.com)

  3. I would love to try out those alphabitties with the numbers and letters on them, a mini quilt pattern and some of those cute clips in an outrageously fun color! And I have never even seen what washi tape looks like!

  4. Although it wouldn't be exciting (unless it's part of the Tula Pink hardware line), a seam ripper would be useful. A cute pair of thread snippers or small scissors would be good too. Maybe throw in some jumbo wonder clips? Thanks for posting so many Quilt Market photos. It's a great way for those of us not in the industry to live vicariously and dream about all the stunning new fabric! Thanks too for the giveaway. bwwedprep(at)yahoo(dot)com

  5. A sew sampler subscription box could include a free pattern page for using a range of pre-cuts such as charm squares, a tool such as a template to give you perfect flying geese or a sample of your favourite applique paper as there is now different thicknesses available. (Not everyone lives close to a shop to see what is out there – I do a lot of looking online to find out what is new.)
Thanks for the opportunity to take part in your competition.

  6. Fabrics would be my favorite thing to find in the sampler box. A pattern for a bag or purse with the hardware needed. Something new and different and exciting.

  7. Small and useful helpers for sewing would be great, like rulers or templates. Fun fabric is always apreciated and I love patterns. The magnetical button in the april's box, things like this are just awesome.
Thanks for all the pics. I love to see them!

  8. I think technique-themed boxes like applique, EPP, or even color theory would be fun. I always enjoy trying out new-to-me ways of doing something. Thanks for asking =) I really do love my first box last month and am anxiously waiting for #2!

  9. I was hoping for one of your red magnetic pin holders, don't have a great pin holder so I definitely would use this!

  10. How about some of Lori Holt's buttons? And we can truly never get enough Alphabitties or Wonder clips. Then there are scissors, floss, Aurifil, maybe some lightweight fusible….

  11. Cute scissors, aurifil thread and a mini quilt pattern–oh the list could go on and on!

  12. Some Aurifill thread (cream and grey), some Riley Blake solids (they are the BEST), little spring loaded snips that could be kept right at your sewing machine. Also, maybe a Bloc=loc HST trimming ruler: they are amazing!!!

  13. Aurifil thread, self threading needles, small scissors, mini charm packs, among other things that would be lovely to find when opening a sampler box.

  14. What I would find most interesting? How can I pick just one? From looking at the pictures, for which
I thank you!, I would say the Aurifil thread collection and The Sample Spree!, even if
I couldn't get any samples, just tomsee them all, how awesome!

  15. Fat quarters of French General fabric is my vote for a box item. Oh, and Clover piecing pins!
Thanks for sharing quilt market with us

  16. i would love to see threads and bobbin holders. Can never have too many of them to organize bobbins.

  17. I would like to have a box with stuff I probably wouldn't necessarily otherwise try like triangle paper and some pattern and fabric that suits that particular triangle paper.

  18. Thread and low volume print in different shades. I've been searching for low volume prints in shades of green which are rare as hens teeth.

  19. How about different notions? From needles to the latest fabric marker or any nre gadgets that are taking the quilting world by storm

  20. I would love to see pre cuts of any of the new lines of fabrics you have shown. They are all beautiful!

  21. Self threading needles, binding clips, double sided tape and different rulers are always useful. Fabric of course. EPP and foundation piecing patterns. The list is endless

  22. My gosh, what a question to ask a quilter! Anything quilt or sewing related would make us all happy including perhaps new Aurifil thread colors, charm packs from new fabric lines, a specialty ruler and whatever else to tickle our collective fancies!

  23. Thanks for all the great pictures! I think you should include in your next Sew Sampler Box a few mini charm packs and a pattern or two for it.

  24. I think you should include some variegated Aurifil thread because I'm always intrigued by it but never buy it. Receiving it in a box like this would make the choice for me.

  25. Fabric! and some of the wonderful creative grids rulers along with specialty rulers that you've demoed on you tube like the log cabin
    one.

  26. Thanks for all the great market pictures. I doubt you would include anything in the sampler boxes we wouldn't love, but samples of the new fabric lines would be wonderful as well as any new creative grid rulers. Thanks for the giveaway.

  27. Thanks for a great market post. I think you should include fabric including some solids, Aurifil thread, the best seam ripper and a small pair of scissors.

  28. I would like to see a cute button collection included in the box. Thanks for sharing Market pics. I always look forward to it.

  29. Love seeing all the pics from market! I think you can't go wrong with Aurifil thread, creative grid rulers, and maybe a charm pack.

  30. Hopefully we will get a sample of auricular thread, one of the FQS patterns and a few more goodies.

  31. I would love to see some Zen Chic fabric, anything Jaybird Quilts, or some fat quarters of Tula Pink!!

  32. A pattern for a bag and all the hardware, like the zipper or clasp and the fusible interfacing or batting. It gives people a new project and the opportunity to try new products.

  33. You're doing a great job filling your sampler box on your own, but if you need more ideas why not ask your quilt designer friends to share some of their favorite product ideas with you. I know the May box has Lori's buttons so you could have made it all things Lori! (And maybe you did).

  34. White or gray Aurifil thread for piecing, charm packs of new fabric lines, sewing machine needles, cute scissors, and anything Bonnie and Camille.

  35. Some things we all want, but hesitate to buy. Another pair of cute scissors, thread in a wild color, glass headed pins, specialty rulers (can't have too many).

Anything included in the box will be wonderful, I'm sure.

  36. Would love any mini pattern or anything that has a logo on it such as mods or fat quarter shop. Pins, clips, rulers or templates are great.

  37. What fun photos from Market. What to include in quilting box…zipper or two, alphabities, maybe a bag pattern.

  38. Thank you for all the market booth pictures. Love seeing all the upcoming lines and can't wait to get them! Maybe some pretty thread in the next box.

  39. I always like a quickie pattern that can be made with pre cuts. I make lots of baby quilts for charity and friends. Some new ideas for table runners that have a fresh look. I think trims are a big treat also – edgins, rick rack etc. Such a great idea.

  40. This collection is gorgeous! It would be wonderful if you included thread! It's the one thing I always forget:) Wonderful Giveaway, good luck to everyone!!

  41. I am not sure what is in the boxes as I haven't been getting them but I think everyone loves charm packages – mini or larger, little binding clips, that kind of thing. Have fun at market and would love either of those wonderful bundles that you show.

  42. a spool of your favorite aurifil thread color, a charm pack of Sundrops (LOVE that line– can't wait until it is available) and a pattern to use it, a crayola ultraclean marker(they are the best ever to mark quilting lines or seam lines– they wash away completely even after being ironed over)

  43. I love any sort of notions including buttons I also adore the mini charm packs.

    Maureen, New Zealand

  44. Fabrics would be my choice, maybe a fat quarter. Thread is also a good choice. Love the pictures from Spring Market!

  45. Thanks for all the market photos! My favorite thing is always fabric, but a good seam ripper is always helpful and maybe some thread snips or thread samples to match fabric. Thanks for the give-away!

  46. I think one or more of the shapes from Lori Holt , each sampler could have different ones. Different weights of thread, different kinds of thread, a few paper piece shapes, and of course some samples of new beautiful fabric.

  47. mini charm packs from a couple of the new collections – some of the clips used for binding (I've never gotten any), one of the plastic wraps for threads, oh shoot, just put in a free ticket to the next quilt show!!! Maybe a "lottery ticket" for a drawing the following month? So many things I want..lol…..

  48. All the new collections look wonderful. I'm really being pulled into the darker colors that give so much pop to traditional looking fabrics. Having charm/mini charm packs in the next box with a mini quilt or pillow pattern would be fun.

  49. I love all of these photos. I feel like I am right there with all of you being BFFs. All of you are so beautiful
I would love to win a pile of fabric, you are so generous with prizes. I love all of the quilts Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration

  50. I'm always looking for a good seam ripper. Also cute tape measures. Of course rulers, fabric, fabric and then some fabric would also be nice.

  51. You all look like you're having so much fun at Quilt Market. I think the next Quilting Box should include Aurifil (everyone can always use Aurifil!) and mini charms.

  52. Loved all the pretty photos. Can only dream of how much fun it would be to attend one of these. Those clips and buttons, buttons, and more buttons!

  53. I would love to see postcards of all those beautiful designer booths…

  54. How about some of the new Moda Treat precuts and a pattern to use them. I am loving all of the great
    pictures from Market. Thanks

  55. I'm loving seeing all of the wonderful pics you are sharing on Instagram of Quilt Market. I feel like I'm there with you all! For the Sew Sampler Quilting Box, I think maybe some different weights of the Aurifil thread or Aurifloss. Also maybe small patterns of some of those wonderful pin cushions from your video's with Joanna Figueroa with a charm pack to make some of them.

  56. Your coverage of market is better than being there – I can check out everything in my pjs! Put as much as possible in the box!

  57. How about a few mini charm packs and a pattern for them? Love the mini charms. They're like candy! I'm enjoying the pictures from quilt market.

  58. I recommend including the stick on dots that go on your finger tip in place of wearing a thimble. I love them but only tried them when I got some as a free sample. I think others wold like them too if they only tried them.

  59. New sewing notions, thread, needles, samples of any kind. Love trying new things and am excited to see my first box as I missed the first one. Keep up the good work; you are doing a great job at Quilt Market keeping those of us at home informed. Thanks.

  60. A Thimble for hand binding, after all we need to finish all these wonderful projects we make!

  61. Thread, a small free pattern or tip you've gained from market, truly anything you include will be wonderful. Thanks for sharing Market with us.

  62. Thanks for posting all the pictures! I'm would like a charm pack of a new line and matching thread?

  63. I have only seen a little of what you put in that first one and it looked so fun! Some of your alphabities would be fun, some sample hand sewing needles, fabric samples are fun ;). You do great!

  64. Charm packs and mini charm packs would be great in the sampler box. There are unlimited options to make with them. Quick table runners , pot holders, and baby bibs are my favorite!!

  65. I'd love to see Kimberly's new creative grids ruler in the box, maybe one of the new pre-cuts and some aurifil thread to match.

  66. I'm forcing myself to do some paper piecing blocks from the quiltalongs I've been participating in. I'm starting to enjoy it. Anything to improve the process would be appreciated (rulers, etc.)

  67. I think it would be awesome to open up a box that had some pretty pins, threads, and a gift voucher for a pattern. A charm pack or a set of fat quarters or half-yard cuts would always be loved, too!

  68. I don't think anyone would complain about thread samples of different weight. But including a charm pack and a small template with a pattern is always fun to receive. I like to embellish my quilts with appliqués and embroidery so some ideas on that would work well.

It will be fun to see what you come up with!

  69. Love love love seeing ALL of you at Market! Makes me think I'm there….

  142. I think specialty rulers are a good idea. They can prompt us to try new techniques we might not attempt otherwise. I know some are expensive, but maybe some of the smaller ones would be appropriate for the Sew Sampler boxes. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity, and have fun at Market!

  143. Fabric, of course, I think goes without saying. But a fun unique notion would be great too. Like a perfectly petite pair of purple scissors (sorry, I couldn't resist) or numbered pins, or a slip mat for your sewing machine throat….I can think of lots of things that perhaps I wouldn't necessarily think of to go and buy but would be delighted to get in a box.

  144. Hello! I would love things to be included that would help a beginning quilter. I wouldn't know what I would need so this would be so helpful! Thank you for this opportunity-the fabrics are gorgeous. I hope I can get the hang of this soon!!

  145. I would love to see a mini charm pack or a charm pack that's bright and fun from the quilt market along with a matching pattern, thread and whatever else may go with it… Perhaps an idea would be to showcase several designers in a way that has a variety of fabrics that go together to make a Moda designer quilt? Thanks again for this opportunity and thanks for showing us what's happening at the quilt market!

  146. I'd love it if you'd include a Charm Pack of any of these new Moda lines, but especially Grand Traverse Bay or Chestnut Street!

Looks like you're all having fun hanging out with Moda Lissa!

  147. I love the surprise part of monthly boxes, but find that new tools on the market with a sample using them are really great!

  148. I think some candy squares in some of the new collections would be a real treat in your sampler boxes. And maybe a pattern to use them in a sewing accessory like a pincushion or needle book.

  149. its always fun to have new tools and gadgets and I love the fabrics from Tula Pink and lila Tueller. I am sure you will find some wonderful threads to include or a new gadget to try out.
Thanks for the chance to win such lovely fat quarters.
    Regards from Alberta,

  150. What would I like to see in a Sampler Box? You can never have too many notions, such as pins, a seam ripper and maybe a quarter inch ruler. Lori Holt's pretty colors of new buttons, a small spool of Aurifil, perhaps to coordinate with a charm pack of a new fabric from market. And tie this in with a new pattern too!

  151. I think you should include the new little adorable Moda tins! I haven't seen one in person yet but they look delightful! Thanks for the chance to win one of these 2 fabulous collections!

  152. Big wonder clips, neutral aurifil thread, and fabric! I loved the little magnetic screwdrivers from April – things we need, but don't know exist!

  153. Always one of your new fabric lines in a precut of some sort with a pattern recommendation. Some solid fabric. I would love a Seams Sew Easy Seam Guide, a new seam ripper and one of your handy rulers!

  154. There is several of these boxes being offered so it will be a challenge to keep it different from others. But we don't have to have a box be the best….. just full of stuff we like since we are the ones actually buying the stuff. Several have mentioned the fabric, rulers, etc. I believe your choices will delight our tastes.

  155. Some of the Nightfall fabric would be a great addition. Karen Kay Buckley's Perfect Circles is another great tool for appliqué.

  156. I guess you may be planning for a couple of months from now, so I would like to see a charm pack of Pumpkin Pie, matching Aurifil, buttons, Edyta's appliqués, Tulip needles, and some of thos cute little bobbin holders. You have so many fun things that we might not find in our local quilt shops. Thank you for the chance to win. The photos of the booths were fabulous!

  157. For very selfish reasons I think a seam ripper would be awesome….mine seem to disappear miraculously …I wonder if my little daughter has them all in her own sewing box…which is hidden well and only she knows where 🙂

  158. What wonderful pictures of market. Love that ya'll are having so much fun. A quilter can never get enough thread, pins, or pin cushions! (Among other things.) robinsheloratearthlinkdotnet

  159. Since new products on the market are the most fun, I think you might include the new ruler, Starburst Ruler from Creative Grids, so one could make First Blush for example. Also some new fabric from some new lines, like Chestnut Street or Pumpkin Pie, and a spool or two of Aurifil thread would be amazing. Anything to enhance like buttons or ric rac would be fun. And a new pattern is just what's needed to complete. I'd love it!!

  160. Wow, this is is fun….buttons, thread, new fabric samples from your faves, Creative Grid ruler and special quilt block that uses the ruler.
    Thanks for the great offer!
    Kathleen Mason

  161. I would love anything new you want to include. If you find a new notion or ruler or any of the new fabric collections. How fun would it be to have something the stores don't have yet.

  162. I love quilts that look complicated, but are actually easy to cut and sew! Especcially patterns i can use for Quitls of Vlaor for our Veterans!

  163. I really enjoy seeing all the booths and the fabric lines are all beautiful and so fun to see what will be in the stores. For your sampler box I think a small project with pattern, fabric and thread would be fun.

  164. I think so big rick-rack, buttons and other embellishments! Love the quilts and the fabric coming out. Can't wait to buy some.

  165. Thanks for the chance to win some beautiful fabric. I think you should include a cute zipper bag pattern with, of course, a zipper or two. Love following Quilt Market!

  166. Some really good hand sewing needles, charm pack of a new line, Lori Holt design board, pattern, marking pen, Aurifil thread, small creative grids ruler. Almost anything to help a quilter out would be appreciated.

  167. New fabric and thread is always a good idea. How about some notions like Sewline products, Creative Grid rulers, Little House pins, Alphabitties, zippers, bag hardware, or ruler twill tape….like to one wrapped around the gorgeous Moda bundles!

  168. Thanks for the awesome chance to win! I love making bags and pouches. It would be fun to get a box with a bag or pouch pattern, a zipper, and some ribbon for embellishment.

  169. For the next Sew Sampler – this would be so FUN!! – a charm pack of Joanna's new Chestnut Street Collection with a cute table runner pattern with a touch of appliqué, and maybe a tool to craft it with or some cute buttons to embellish it! A tiny tin of appliqué pins would be cute too! I LOVE your tutorials with Joanna, Kimberley!! Maybe include a cute bookmark with a photo of one or both of you stitching – autographed by the two of you? I'm inspired by seeing fellow quilters in "their space". LOVE fat quarter shop!

  170. There are so many neat notions, etc. out there, it's hard to pick just a few. A charm pack from the new lines would be nice, Aurifil thread, cute pincushion or pattern, needle pullers, buttons, trims, Peel spool huggers, applique needles, glass head pins, triangle papers, monofilament thread, triangle papers and last but not least, maybe a small seasonal kit or seasonal pattern. I have enjoyed all of the market pictures. Everybody looks like they are having a blast!

  172. I think the loc bloc rulers are the best ever and also you just can't have enough (or at least I can't) seam rippers and how about little/small magnifying glasses.

  173. Joanna of Fig Tree had a feature with her favorite notions so include some of her favorites with a charm pack and a mini pattern. Only fitting because her new line is one of your giveaways and I think it has my name on it!

  174. Aurifil! A quilter can never have too much thread. Maybe some floss to try some hand embroidery? A mini embroidery kit would be cute!! 🙂

  175. Thanks for keeping us updated on all the happenings at Quilt Market. Anything Fig Tree would be great.

  176. A charm pack and a couple of spools of thread to match, a specialty ruler, a new notion, a new mini quilt pattern, some buttons – any of these items would be welcome.

  177. Fabric, of course, as well as Aufil thread and a pattern or two. Oh, and the Alphabeties.

  178. Maybe a sampling of wools, different sizes of straight pins, or a small ruler would be nice. Thanks for the chance to own a stack of these beautiful fabrics.

  179. A little package of hexies or 6-point diamonds for EPP along with needles. Maybe a Clover yo-yo maker too. These would make nice embellishments for a quilt. Throw in a few idea pics or a small pattern for useful ideas.

  180. I think it would be fun to see a Fig Tree Quilts pincushion pattern and everything needed to make it – including matching Aurifil thread.

  181. One of the cute Moda tins, mini quilt patterns, any kind of ruler, and charm packs are always welcome at my house.

  182. Oh wauw! This is so exciting! Please keep posting these wonderful pictures. It makes us feel like we are there!

Thank you for the chance to win!
    cottonpaperflowers at gmail dot com

  183. There have been wonderful suggestions already! Maybe include 2-3 different new mini charms that are coming out with mini Aurifil spools to match, a ruler, those pretty scissors and a pattern for the mini charms, and a seam ripper or quilting pins. What a great package that would be!!

  184. Thank you for all of the pictures! Clover Mini Wonder Clips would be a great addition to a Quilting Box. Maybe add a gift certificate to a couple of boxes each month as an added bonus for a couple of subscribers.

  185. I would love to see an interesting ruler and a pattern (or mini pattern) that uses it! I just got my second box today, and it's even more fun than the first. Thanks!

  186. Embroidery thread or perle cotton would be nice. I am always so confused on what kind of perle cotton to use for a task, e.g. large stitch quilting so a guide would be nice as well.

  187. Oh…the possibilities are endless! You can never go wrong with Aurifil thread. And maybe some special pins & needles….& cute binding clips…..or small scissors…..or specialty rulers…..or…..marking pens…..or…..shall I continue? Lol

  188. I have loved everything in my April and May Sew Sampler Boxes! For the upcoming boxes, I think the Alphabitties would be a great item to find. Anything to help with binding would be greatly appreciated too. I tend to wait a week or two to get around to binding my projects because I struggle with it so much.

  189. So beautiful! I haven't seen the BasicGrey fabric. Did they have a booth? The colors are amazing and of course I love Chestnut Street.
I always love random 2.5inch squares in my subscriptions or a fun little notion like pins…or maybe a snack. LOL

  190. There are two new Creative Grids rulers that would be a wonderful addition! (Starburst and 4-in-1 half square rulers) Love seeing what's new at Quilt Market!

  191. My dream box would include lots of the things I always run out of or wear out. Needles, both machine and hand, my leather thimble, thread (I'd love to try Aurifil), little scissors and seam rippers (since I am always loosing mine and am always buying more!), a rainbow of solid fabrics and last but not least tone on tone fabrics. Or any kind of coordinated box where the fabrics all go together and a pattern to use all those lovely coordinates! Love your pictures from Quilt Market. ~Phyllis

  192. I think it should include some fabric and patterns from Bonnie and Camille's new Homemade fabric line.

  205. That's fun – to put together one of your famous boxes. I might include some fat quarters plus perhaps a charm pack in the same fabric line and a mini charm pack in matching solids, some lovely threads, some of your wonderful Moda ribbon, a thimble, some needles, and then some fun comment patches such as shown on your post. Wouldn't that be awesome?

  206. I think anything you include in the Sampler Box will be cherished. I think precuts or fat quarters from any of the new lines would be great. It's nice sometimes to have the thinking done for you by having fabric that coordinates.

  207. I'd love to see anything from any one of those new collections you just showed us. By the way – just got my first Sew Sampler box today and was thrilled with all the goodies included!

  208. I think having the Easy Angle and Companion Angle rulers are a must. They simplify cutting of hst's and other shapes so much, everyone should have a chance to have one set.
