Shipping Updates:

The following is a shipping schedule of outstanding Sew Sampler boxes, but as always, this information is subject to change.

You will not be billed until we are ready to ship out the boxes. We are currently estimating that:

  • The January box will ship out early to mid-March.
  • The February box should ship out the late-March
  • The March box should ship out mid-April.

We apologize for the delays. Please know that this is completely out of our hands and we have been working with our vendors to get items as quickly as possible! Manufacturing and shipping have been a major challenge for most companies since 2020, and continue to affect shipments now.

Stay tuned for updates and we thank you for your support and patience!

Slow and steady wins the race, right? Get ready to take on a fun challenge in your March Sew Sampler box. We will be releasing a few new products that YOU, as a Sew Sampler member will receive first!

  1. OH I hope it’s a Snail Trail quilt project! I’ve been meaning to try that block for years. Maybe with Snowman Gatherings fabric?

  2. If it’s a Snail Trail pattern I’m excited. Snail Trail has been on my to do list for a few years.
If you don’t mind me saying, I would like to see fabrics in the Sampler boxes occasionally for the men in our lives. While I have loved all the fabrics so far (i’ve only been a subscriber since January 2021 ) there’s been way more flowery pink fabrics. I did like the Celestial jelly roll we received in the December 2021 box.
Getting excited to receive two SB this month. Double Christmas.

  3. Debbie Bridgman,
I love using the Tim Holtz fabrics for the men in my life. I’m so glad that Fat Quarter Shop Carrie’s them.

  4. Excited to get the next box. Doesn’t matter what’s in it. I know I will love it!

  5. Here in Australia we are still waiting for our November and December boxes. Not happy

    1. Hi Jennifer, We are sorry to hear that you’re not happy with the shipping delays. We know how frustrating they are and are unhappy with them ourselves. On our end, we are doing everything we can to get boxes together and out as soon as possible. You can always check your boxes status in your account and keep an eye on when it ships. International shipping takes longer than shipping within the USA, but we are hopeful the wait will be worth it when you finally receive your boxes. Sorry again.

    2. Don’t worry Jennifer I am also from Australia My November box has arrived and I understand stand your frustration but there are shipping delays in the US and postal issues in Aus
I have every trust in Fatquarter and there communication has been very good about the delay
      Hang in there

      1. Glad to hear this Robyn, thank you for sharing with Jennifer and with us! Thank you for your trust in us, we will continue to do our best to communicate!

  6. ILOVE receiving my little aqua box every month (or so as it has been because of shipping and distribution issues…which we know are out of your hands and don’t hold grudges because of it). BUT…I agree, I would LOVE if there were fabrics that were geared towards men. My husband is an AVID outdoorsman…hunts and fishes and I have yet to find a fabric line that I like that would make a nice “outdoorsman” quilt. I know that’s not exactly everyone’s cup of tea, but neither is “modern” and I know there have been a few boxes that are more modern. So…just a suggestion. OR…if you at least carried such a line of fabrics, I would be eternally grateful!

THANK YOU FQS for all you do! You are my GO TO fabric shop and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you. Kimberly has taught me ALL I know about quilting and I strive everyday, on every block…to make it “Kimberly worthy”. I don’t always manage it, but I’d like to say I do at least 90%-95% of the time. Keep doing what you’re doing!

    1. Hello Joanna, we appreciate the thanks and kind words about Fat Quarter Shop! Thank you!

As for the fabrics/quilting for someone who likes outdoorsy things/aesthetics have you considered a gingham style quilt? We have one on our YouTube Channel and it can be made in any color to fit any preference. I can post the link if you’d like.

I’d also recommend checking out shopping by fabric “theme” on our website. You can find things like flannel, camouflage, denim, and more. If we don’t have anything right now, then hopefully we will in the future. Thank you for sharing your wishes and feedback. I hope this all helps!

    1. Margaret, do you mean unsubscribe you from the emails about the blog? If so, there should be a place at the bottom of the emails where you can remove yourself from the list if you wish, though we’d be sad to see you go! If you meant something else, then you’ll have to give me more details, sorry!

  7. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 so the boxes take a while to get here, but l love the box of goodies when it arrives. It lets me try new products or quilt patterns that l would not normally treat myself to and the fabric and rulers are always a winner with me, if the fabric is not to my taste then it will be used to a make a gift for someone who will love it. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us these little boxes 😊 my guess for this box is a snail trail quilt pattern, it’s not a block l have sewn yet so looking forward to having a go if it is 💕

  8. Any idea when the shipping will get back to normal? Just curious. I love these boxes! Fabrics to try, notions to explore, patterns to sew! Who could ask for more?

    1. Carla, I totally understand the curiosity and wanting things to return to normal with shipping. Unfortunately, a lot of it is not on our end but due to fabric/supply manufacturers and/or shipping delays once things leave us and we have control over neither of those. We hope it will be sooner rather than later, but only time will tell. Glad to hear you love the boxes!

  9. “Escargot For It” by Robert is my guess. Love the colors in these fabrics.

  10. Y’all usually hit the nail on the head guessing, but so far I don’t see any of the above mentioned showing a snail on them 🙂 I have no clue!

    1. Ok, I looked again at the “Escargot For It” (I know that translates to snail) & see some snails now 🙂

  11. Just got a sneak peek on Lori’s channel for a Calico Snail Quilt. It’s probably too early for that line to come out, but it sure was cute! 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌

  12. Escargots have snail trail fabrics very pretty. Hope that’s what I get!!!

  13. The Sea and Me? I love getting Sew Sampler even though there are glitches in in supply chains and shipping systems. I know I will eventually receive quality fabric for a fun project and new notions. Thanks for keeping us posted on arrival dates.

    1. Of course! Thank you for being understanding that a lot of it is out of our control and believing in us that we are doing our best! Glad to hear you love yours, that’s what we like to hear!

  14. I opened my January box today and totally loved everything in it! Now to decide what to buy with my coupon! 😉

  15. Looking forward to the March Box, not to mention the February box as the January one was a smash hit with me. I loved everything in the box, even down to the glue which I have been meaning to buy. I plan on ordering more of the Beautiful Day fabric to make a larger quilt.

As for March, if other posts are right and a snail’s trail pattern is included, I have done one snail trail quilt using the FQS pattern but I really am ready to do another one to improve my skills. Thanks for a great January box.

  16. Is Facebook the only place to buy and sell past boxes? I have gotten very behind in my subscription projects.

    1. I believe that’s one of the main places to buy past boxes, as we don’t stock extras. There’s a Sew Sampler Swap group where people buy and trade them.

  17. I just signed up today, which box will I receive? I wasn’t sure how you were handling the new subscribers, with the back log. I can’t wait!!! 🙂

    1. Since you signed up in March, I believe, you should receive the March box as your first one. It is expected to ship in Mid-April. You should be able to track your box(es) on your Fat Quarter Shop account to find out for sure about which one and when it will ship.

  18. Just have to say… ecstatic about the February box, which arrived today. It’s a really, really fun change of pace. Have been receiving Sew Sampler boxes since Nov 2018 and have never been even a little disappointed. Looking forward to the March box, too!

  19. I love getting the blue box on my doorstep even though it takes a while to get here to New Zealand. Not everything in the box suits me but that’s okay as I have friends who enjoy getting little gifts from time to time. I know you can’t suit everyone all the time. Keep up the good work.

    1. I agree Sue. I love when I open my door or walk up to my porch and see that little blue box sitting against the screen door just waiting for me to run inside and open it. Like you I gift those things that just don’t suit me to my friends and they love getting them. It’s a win-win for us.
I hope Fat Quarter Shop never stops offering the Sew Sampler Boxes because of all the negative comments they’ve been getting the last year. The only way to please everybody is to allow them to choose their own items and what’s the fun in that? It wouldn’t be a surprise and I love surprises.

  20. I love the boxes. I don’t care if they are late. I have projects from last year I haven’t done!! So worth 25$

  21. I love getting my sew sampler boxes. There is so much negativity in the world right now, it really brightens my day. Thank you Kimberly and the FQS❤️❤️❤️

  22. I always look forward to finding my little aqua box in the mail box. No matter if it’s late or on time. Shipping to Canada takes a bit longer but that’s ok with me. It’s a fun quilting treat. Thank you Fat Quarter Shop. I know you are doing the best you can during a very difficult time. Thank you.

  23. How about some projects besides quilts. Also tools like sizzles or rotary cutters are great to have.
