The Summer is finally here and we are ‘rolling’ with excitement to share with you a sneak peek from our July Sew Sampler box! Yep, that’s right, we’ve included one of the most popular precuts, the Jelly Roll! Any guesses on the collection? Let us know in the comments section below. Good luck!

  1. Just from looking at the colors, I’m thinking it might be a Christmas in July theme. Maybe Urban Chics Deer Christmas.

    2. I agree with Christmas in July. Not familiar enough with manufacturers but it will be beautiful no matter which supplier.

    3. I agree that the picture makes me think Christmas… but not everyone celebrates Christmas so I don’t if they would do a true Christmas-sy fabric line…? Maybe… they did the lori holt one once. Who knows

      1. It makes me think Christmas too, but I don’t remember them putting holiday fabrics in the regular SS Box. I only remember them being in the seasonal boxes. I could be completely wrong though.

    1. Oh! That definitely could be. It does have all three of those colors/shades. I think that is more likely than the Christmas fabric.

  18. Was hoping for the new Tula Pink line… would be super disappointed to get two holiday collections in a row.

    1. We just got Tula Pink a few months ago, so I doubt it would be more Tula. I love her fabric too!

  28. Back Porch, Me & My Sister Designs. The colours match the ‘hint’ and it’s a Summer collection and it’s due to be released soon…

    1. I think that new post on Instagram Christmas trees by Lewis and Irene. They made the comment fabric “rolling” in. (Jelly roll) maybe.

  37. I’m hoping for deer Christmas but it might be branded as the Moda fatquarter club is that this month and the last few months have matched.

    1. I think it might be summer sweet as well and the colors of the preview are in that line. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Kimberly said in a livestream a few months ago that they don’t put Christmas in the Sew Samplers.

  45. Ladies you always have the best guesses. I think the top two are the Shades of Summer or the Christmas in July with Deer Christmas – that retro line is so fun and so nostalgic. Brings back memories of Christmas things my grandmother had.

  46. I’m hopeless at guessing but speaking as a “mature” quilter, Sew Sampler is one of the best bargains around. I would hate to miss a month and the variety helps broaden my typical genre. In the entire time I’ve been subscribed, there was only one fabric set and pattern I passed on to a friend. FQS: thanks for the great service and good value!

  70. Personally, I love Snow Valley 40 Karat Crystals by Cynthia Coulter for Wilmington Prints. But that’s called a Strip Set, not Jelly Roll Second choice would be NORTHERN Light by Annie Brady for Moda but I don’t know if it’s in yet. That said, I’m not going to be disappointed, I know that.

  73. I sure hope it’s Christmas in July with A Jelly Roll of Deer Christmas. I need to get a jump start on my Christmas. Hallmark channel is showing Christmas movies so that would be perfect to sew Christmas while listening and watching Christmas movies.

  80. My first box I hope. Paid the membership fee. Only had to wait a couple of weeks for a space to open up. I would like to see Deer Christmas, but, it’s my first box, I’m excited for whatever I get! I like surprises!

  82. Maureen McCormick Marsha from the Brady bunch. Her new line. Love my box have made the table runner Tulia Pink quilt top just got the fabric to do the backing and the box after that I order the fabric to finish that one, plus the two sew alongs and the two counted cross stitch. Kimberly I just don’t know how you do it all. Retired but baby sit 3 grandchildren for 6 hours a day. I work on the cross stitch during that time.

  84. I recently received their 2020 Liberty box and was thrilled with everything that was inside so whatever is in the July Sew Sampler box will make me happy. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

  92. I don’t think it would be either Tula Pink or Bonnie and Camille fabric as Kimberly recently said only one designer is featured per year in the SS boxes. Both designers had fabric in the boxes recently. I have no idea what it will be but the surprise is fun!

  99. I think everyone has hit the nail on the head with a Christmas Theme. Whatever we get will be fabulous I’m sure! This will be my second box, so excited!

  100. I don’t think will be a Christmas theme because they usually have a special Holiday/Christmas box later in the year. But I’m not familiar enough w the other lines that have been mentioned. But Shades of Summer sounds like a good guess.

  101. I think it will be a Christmas inspired pattern using Kona solids—maybe Mermaid Shores or Waterfall, since the jelly roll is mostly in shades of aqua. I couldn’t find any other existing jelly rolls or coming soon that had a lot of aqua in them.

  102. Or maybe Swell and Sweet Christmas by Urban Chik since it has red, green and aqua in it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  104. The cross stitch group is all about Christmas on July and I’m guessing it is carrying o Er to the quilting as well. Love Christmas in July theme and I am really really hoping it’s the new Deer 🦌 Christmas 🎄 line!!! I would literally flip out!! ❤️❤️❤️

  115. The two-tone teal gingham print they show on the first page of the blog is in the Shades of Summer fabric line.

  117. I think its Christmas, maybe Holiday Flourish. I love getting surprised each month with the box. I love the coupons too. I’m working on the Jolly bar row along using Harvest Road. Going to start the Jelly snowflake with shades of green, blue and purple colors.

  120. I doubt holiday fabric, since that comes in another subscription box, but guessing a smaller jelly roll. Sew Sampler is always fun to look forward to. Wonder what the notions will be? A fun surprise for trying times!!!

  122. Since historically it’s been a junior jelly roll. I’m going with Flurry since it’s the only junior jelly roll with the right colors.

    I’m hoping it’s actually backyard blooms or shades of summer even though I doubt that’s what is coming.

  123. I’m going with the new Prim line by Lori Holt. Colors match up and it just makes sense. However, I’ve only guessed one correctly in the entire time I’ve been receiving the box. Haha. Whatever it is, I’ll be tickled pink!

    1. I’m thinking you are right. The colors match, gingham is classic Lori Holt, it’s the new release and we haven’t had a Lori Holt box this year yet….hmmmm. I am really hoping you are right!!!

  127. Hmmm the email says “Summertime Picnic” so I’m going to guess Sunday Picnic Jelly Roll Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda Fabrics?

  128. Since we are invited to a summertime picnic, I think it might be Summer Picnic. That line is not in the colors of the jelly roll, but it is lovely and it is Moda, which a true jelly roll must be. I love that line, so I hope it is 😊

  136. Finally got mine today! I love everything in it. No spoilers. One of the notions was on my wishlist and I would have had it by now but it slipped my mind when I ordered last. I can’t wait to start on the project. I love the colors!
