Ruby Star Society

If you’re following any of the fabulous designers of these fabrics on social media, then you know the news! This week, Melody Miller, Alexia Marcelle Abegg, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Kimberly Kight and Sarah Watts announced the creation of the Ruby Star Society.

About Ruby Star Society

We’re a fabric company of creators and dreamers; a sisterhood of empowered women who have stood together, grown strong, and learned, trial-by-fire, that if you tune out all the noise, listen to your inner voice and get out of your own way, you can create fearlessly.

Our business may be founded on fabric, but at our core is the belief that anyone can create something. Something beautiful. Something meaningful. Something fun. We have the tools to help you start; you have the power to make it amazingly, uniquely, surprisingly yours.

Moda Fabrics

Moda Fabrics is working in collaboration with Ruby Star Society, which means that Fat Quarter Shop will be carrying fabrics from them! In fact, we’ll be offering a fat quarter club with their new collection. Check out the Ruby Star Society Quarterly Club below for more information.

Are you a member of the Cotton + Steel Quarterly Booster Club?

Your subscription will continue with the transition of Cotton + Steel designers to the Ruby Star Society Quarterly Club.

In November 2018 & February 2019 you will receive 12 fat quarters from new Cotton + Steel (designed by original designers), one spool of Sulky Thread and an exclusive pattern designed to use the fat quarters.

In May there will not be a quarterly shipment and you will not be charged. Beginning in August 2019 you will receive 12 fat quarters from new Ruby Star Society collections, one spool of Sulky Thread and an exclusive pattern designed to use the fat quarters.

Although the name of the fabric club is changing, the designers are staying the same. You’ll continue to receive fabrics designed by the original Cotton + Steel designers you love.

  1. I wish these women well on their new venture. Look forward to seeing their new designs. But I will miss the ‘Cotton + Steel’ name associated with them. I will also miss the spool of thread that came with my quarterly club packet. (and that thread had a value of $7.98. So how about 3 extra FQs, not 2?).
