If you could write your heart out to the world, would it be in applique or embroidery? Take your pick with Kimberbell Design’s Love Notes Applique Mystery Quilt. This new mystery quilt is available for both sewists who use applique and those who like to use machine embroidery. We know you’ll fall in love with this mystery either way!
How it Works
To get started, reserve your supplies from Fat Quarter Shop before July 23! We have everything you’ll need listed down below and you will get them in time to sew! Then, Kimberbell will begin sending you love letters each week containing your patterns starting August 3 until August 31. During the course of five consecutive weeks, each envelope will reveal a new section of the mystery quilt! There are two patterns available, one for embellishing with sewing on applique or machine embroidery, sew take your pick and start unraveling the mystery!

Supplies you’ll need
You must reserve the Fabric Kit, your choice of Pattern, and the Embellishment Kit to complete your quilt.
- First, choose the Love Notes Mystery Quilt Fabric Kit Reservation
- Then, choose your preferred pattern type: Love Notes Applique Mystery Quilt Sewing Pattern OR Love Notes Applique Mystery Quilt Machine Embroidery CD Pattern
- To embellish your quilt, reserve the Love Notes Applique Mystery Quilt Embellishment Kit
- Lastly, reserve the Backing Set for Love Notes Applique Mystery Quilt
- As a bonus, you may also want the Love Notes Aurifil Thread Box
Reserve your order by July 23 to guarantee that you receive your products in time to begin!
The quilt will finish at 40″ x 40″ and will be full of nostalgia and love! Your kit will come with fabric from the Kimberbell Basics collection that you’ll absolutely fall for! Now, that is the only *hint* we’ll be tweeting about! The rest is for you to piece together.
Bonus Project
Before you get started, you can stitch up the FREE A Little Bird Told Me Pillow Pattern and let your friends and family know you are joining in! This pillow is also available in both sewing and embroidery versions! Choose which is right for you and get started. We can’t wait to see how all these lovely little birds turn out.
