I use this tool every time I attach a binding now. It has really made it easier. I like the mini binding tool for narrower bindings as well, same concept, smaller tool. I'm so glad I found the tool, but am sad to not need the 20%! 🙂 lol
I do not use a tool, just a simple method of which I have a tutorial link on my blog – it has worked for me for years – I love tools but after awhile one just gathers up too many of them.

This is a very helpful tutorial. Of course, now I have a shopping list: Wonder Clips, The Binding Tool, Simplicity Binding Maker (is that its name?!)
I have this tool and it never fails to get my binding wrong and I check the tutorial every time. I have another tutorial I use that doesn't use a tool and it comes out every time.
I have this tool but I'm new to quilting so I don't use it often enough to get the hang of it. It did work once for me though! I do have a question: Why do you stitch off the quilt corner at an angle instead of pivoting and stitching straight off? Thank you.

I have this tool and I LOVE it! It's the only way I can finish a binding and have it fit perfectly. I've tried many ways and this one is always a success.

Thanks for the tutorial. I entered quilts in my Guild quilt show. The judges deducted points because my mitered corners were not stitched down on the front. I had never heard that I should do that. I am happy to see that you don't stitch your miters either.
I am disappointed that you didn't stitch down the mitered corners. Most judges want them stitched. Otherwise, I learned a lot from your tutorial, especially cutting the edge 3/8".
Thanks for this tutorial. I use the same method without the tool, but your corners are much nicer then mine. I'll try it on my next one.
