I’m celebrating by sewing a BasicGrey JR to complete a UFO that’s been hanging in my quilt studio a few yrs. My Christmas “Hustle & Bustle” quilt top center was done using 2 charm packs & the inner border has been added. That’s as far as I got lol. The JR is for making a scalloped piano key outer border. That’s what I’m doing this weekend! Gonna complete the entire quilt top so I can get it quilted & bound before the coming week ends. This Christmas I intend to use it, finally! 😉

Having a honest to goodness jellyroll would be great. I make my own jellyrolls with the leftover bits from quilt bindings – lol than applique small things on them for charity quilts. These are fun and go to good but just not as pretty.

I’ve never made a quilt with a Jelly Roll.
I plan to use the pattern cranberry chain by Laundry Basket Quilt and the jelly roll (double scoop) called Strawberries and Cream. I think this will be a great quilt to use for the Christmas holidays and carry through to Valentine’s Day. Plus it will be fast to make since this pattern is an Irish chain.
I’m a new quilter. I’ve used 2.5 inch strips once but they were all folded flat into rectangles. This time I want to get real roll, cut it open and watch all the beautiful colors roll out.

I was up bright and early… I’m using a Ruby Star’s Merry Happy JR with the Baklava pattern from Simply Jelly Rolls book by Sew Emma.
I am using a Halloween jelly roll that’s been in my stash for awhile. Emily Dennis had tutorial for sewing half the strips together to make 2 squares, then cutting into triangles, rotating, and sewing back into a square. Even though not using your pattern this time, thank you for frequently being a source of inspiration.

I’m in the middle of making a bunch of ‘generational’ quilts for future family (some of which I will never meet). Don’t want to leave a huge stash & cabinets full of precuts (cut by me from previous quilts made) for when I go ‘toes up’ in the distant future (I’m 70 & in good health). I’m also looking at jelly rolls for future quilts. I’m having a BLAST making all sorts of quilts (from baby to king size), using patterns I’ve never used, years of ideas I’ve been putting into scrap albums and spending time every day in the quilt room. At night I sit watch tv w/hubby while cutting out pieces for blocks, hand stitching bindings down and looking over books and album ideas for the next bunch. So much fun for me!

This is totally off topic, but while I was watching the jelly roll videos- I’ve seen them before, but I like to rewatch them- the Jelly Roll Check pattern video, to be specific, you’re wearing my favorite FQS shirt. And it dawned on me, that I haven’t seen mine in a really long time. And I think, my husband had something to do with that. You see, a few years ago, I went overseas with some girlfriends, and while I was gone, my husband decided he needed to vacuum seal a WHOLE bunch of my concert, blood donor, and quilt festival t-shirts😑. (TBH, I do have a lot of souvenir shirts) I was annoyed, but I let it slide. Watching the video jogged my memory about that shirt, since you don’t offer it anymore. There are a lot of cross stitch shirts, which I don’t do, and I have all the Lori Holt shirts. Would you start designing some more shirts for quilters again? Now I’ve gotta go digging in some sealed bags and find that shirt!

I watch all your you tube videos. I dug through some of my jelly rolls and found one that’s been hiding about 5 years. I think it’s about time to do something with it. So it’s on the cutting table and I’m doing a simple pattern from the Moda Allstars Book.

I will be visiting 4 shops on my All Southeast Shop Hop (Georgia, Alabama, & South Carolina) this weekend. I will then work on a Jelly Roll Quilt with Wellspring by Fancy That Design House using the pattern Sparky.

A jelly roll is probably my favorite pre-cut. I like the table runner in the video. I have several jelly rolls I can choose from. I can’t sew today, but will print off the pattern and made a table runner with one of them.

I just ordered a new Jelly Roll to make up a lap size quilt. I have plenty of Jelly rolls in my stash, but I needed a Valentine quilt! I really love Jelly Rolls. Thank you Fat Quarter shop for lots of ideas
I’ve been browsing lots of great jelly roll options at the Fat Quarter Shop and visited a local quilt shop as well. I think I’ll be trying the Modern Workshop quilt pattern from Moda and Oliver + S. This would also be a great pattern for using leftover jelly roll strips and making it more scrappy. Thanks for all of the inspiration!!

The Community Service section of our quilt guild hosted a Jelly Roll Sewcial today to make quilts for kids. We had a great turnout & look forward to donating the finished quilts to several local organizations that provide aid to children. We really appreciate the great free patterns that FQS makes available!

Inherited a Minick and Simpson jelly roll. Started a quilt (“Chill Out” by Zen Chic) with it last year on Sew a Jelly Roll day. Trying to finish it this year! I need more special days like this to boost my productivity!
Due to recent hand surgery I can’t sew but I sorted my scrap fabric. I couldn’t believe how many 2.5 width strips I had. I plan to now find a pattern that will use up a bunch once I can sew again
My nieces are redecorating their room and I’d like to make some pretty jelly roll quilts for their beds.
I was out of town visiting my granddaughters so I wasn’t able to sew along. I am making today sew a jelly roll day and starting the Gem pattern. I will use a Lella Boutique jelly roll I have been hoarding. I love these special days because it gives me incentive to us precuts I have on hand. Jelly rolls are not my favorite precut but I have a few. Thanks Fat Quarter Shop for celebrating this day.
I used a JR from my stash called Juniper by Jen Allyson. I don’t know the name of it but it requires just a Jelly Roll. Split the jelly roll in half and sew 2 sets of 20 strips together. Square them up. Cut them on the diagonal and sew them back together. Quick and Easy. Then I am making one from this years Moda patterns Celtic Knots using Primitive Gatherings Pumpkin Spice. It is not so quick. I have it laid out, now just need to sew it together.
A friend gifted me a beautiful batik jellyroll along with a pattern. It’s in my que and I’m hoping to start working on it soon.

I’m working on a Christmas gift for a family member, a king-size quilt that’s not a Christmas quilt. The pattern I’m using required 3 JRs, but I only had 1 so I’m improvising by buying the extra fabric to complete it in a kit and from other various websites. And the JR is no longer available anywhere because it’s from 2025.
I sewed Labyrinth free pattern by Moda.
