  1. I look for unusual or different quilts that have a bit of a challenge to them; and I love articles that give me insight into a new technique or something new in the industry.

  2. I look for great sample inspiration. It's important to see how the pattern plays out in different color ways. A pattern can look very modern, but change the fabric and it looks traditional. Thanks!

  3. I am a beginner so I look for simple projects with clear directions. These magazines sound wonderful – thanks for the chance to win.

  4. Looks like a great magazine that will give me lots of new projects to work on! Thanks for the chance to win!

  5. I love this magazine and get really upset when I can't find that months copy in the book store. I wish there was an easier way to obtain the UK magazines.

  6. I haven't read that many quilting magazines, but when I do get my hands on one I look for the patterns and tutorials. Thanks for the chance!

  7. I love magazines with many pics and patterns, steps and diagrams,so you can make the projects without understanding the language.

  8. I look for articles to help me improve my skills, but mostly for fun and quick projects so I can see some fast results.

  9. I look for interesting patterns at various skill levels, helpful tips to improve my skills, and reviews on tools that are available.

  10. I always buy the german version and would love to take a look on the english one ๐Ÿ™‚

It's such a great magazine and I love it ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. I have been looking for this magazine forever it seems – not carried at many places – Books a Million are supposed to have it! I love new and innovative patterns, miniquilts, like a modern spin on things too!

  12. Love this magazine – Great photos/articles. I've purchased it a few times and would love a subscription!

  13. I love reading magazines each month when they come out. They give me new tips for quilting and notions. I enjoy the new patterns each month. Seeing the fabric I love being used gives me ideas. Getting a head start on the next season is great and viewing what's to come! I love quilting magazines.

  14. I tend to want fabric and product news, photos from shows, trends and history, rather than many patterns. I'd rather see people's quilts for inspiration than be given a pattern for them.

  15. I love getting new ideas for decorating my home with quilts!!! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  16. I buy Love Patchwork and Quilting when I can find it. Not available in my area. I'm always looking for new ideas for my next quilting project.

  17. The British magazines are full of details and unique projects. The Block of the Month section has been interesting to read. I've thought of a subscription. Thank you for a chance in the giveaway.

  18. a friend of mine once told me to look through and if there are three or more projects in a book that you would want to make – BUY it – it has worked out so far. I also like a mag that has hints and tips – we always have room to learn more.

  19. I'm DYING to get one of these…but every time I go, I cringe because they're so expensive on the news stand! I'm glad you are starting to sell them; I might be able to get one!

I look for affordability, first of all…and at least one project that really catches my eye. It's a bonus if there are smaller quicker projects I want to sew. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. I love an issue with multiple interesting quilt designs and bright colors. Susan in Dublin Sgrancio at Comcast dot net

  21. I look for patterns that are clearly written and those that have original ideas. Also like to see some "small projects" for gifts. These don't have to be quilts.

  22. I look for patterns that are clearly written and those that have original ideas. Also like to see some "small projects" for gifts. These don't have to be quilts.

  23. When I look at quilting magazines, my eyes go to the colors first. I know that is a mistake because the pattern could be great but the fabrics used don't suit me. Some magazines provide a sample of the same pattern using different fabrics and which is a good idea.

    anndunn24(at)gmail.com

  24. I look for color, pattern and directions, in that order. Sometimes I am looking for a specific combination (pink/yellow) or block, but mostly a great variety of all if I'm to spend my limited budgeted amount on a magazine.
    thanks!

  25. I look for patterns and any new hints or tips I'm unaware of to help me get better at sewing. And also whats new in fabrics, without a magazine ad I wouldn't have known theres going to be a Little House on the Prairie fabric line!! Its just too coincidental that I've been wanting to make a traditional quilt and use Little House on the Prairie as inspiration and now there'll be fabric for it!

  26. This magazine always has so much quilty inspiration & projects & want to make. I would love to win a copy.

  27. I like a magazine that provides some patterns as well as articles and how to's on new techniques. Of course, color photos are a must and please don't make the font so small I can't read it….aging eyes!!!

  28. I like patterns that are adaptable so I can use my stash. I like seeing new color combinations for classic patterns as well.

  29. I forgot to answer the question from the contest- I'm mostly looking for tutorials and skill tips from a quilting magazine.

  30. I look for magazines to have pictures, modern/fresh patterns and fabrics, and tips and helpful advice from experienced quilters.

  31. I don't really buy quilting magazines….but what I would look for is how hard or easy the patterns are and if I could make it…..

  32. I'd love to try this magazine myself. My favorite is Australian Patchwork and Quilting but I can't seem to find it around here any more since my Books a Million shut down. Thanks!

  33. In a quilting magazine, the cover quilt has to draw me in! Something stunning that I want to make, which means clean lines with bright colors or a fun scrappy look. Then I want a simple layout that is again, modern and clean. The focus should be on the quilts – the steps to make them – and the fabrics. Alternate fabric ways are always a plus! Tips or information on cool new gadgets are also welcome.

  34. If I see a project I want to do… That's the one!
(I've heard others say, "3 projects"… But, one good one does it for me!)
    Thank you!!!
    Pat

  35. I look for magazines that have tutorials for a variety of projects (small quilts, tote bags, etc). Thanks for the sweet giveaway :o)

Thanks for a wonderful quilting magazine!!!!

  48. I look for essays, pictures. If there are patterns I want full-on pictures of the complete quilt, not just beauty shots. I like a magazine with an authentic voice. I guess, the same things I look for in a blog. There are a lot of places to get great patterns these days, which didn't use to be the case when I started subscribing to magazines. Now I want something to keep me company and give me something to think about and enjoy being with. Like a blog I can read in the tub.

  49. This magazine has what i look for in a quilt magazine, but, even better, it has things I didn't know I was looking for, but love! The biggest thing that I look for is inspiration and the encouragement to go your own way!

  50. I love to see new patterns with the finished quilt shown in different colourways.

    wlinda_ca at yahoo dot com

  51. I look for a new take on a quilt pattern, or a different technique to save time in a familiar process. Alternate arrangements of blocks with a pattern is a great help to see, too.

  52. I look for magazines and books that offer inspiration. I may not follow the pattern as written but it started the creative juices. Also lots of nice pics in color are much appreciated.

  53. Fresh designs that would work in modern decor and lots of them! Also, good instructions. So many times I've seen instructions glossed over which is dissapointing.

  54. I truly love this magazine. It makes me want to take days off of work to focus on my quilty projects.

  55. I've really enjoyed every issue of Love of Patchwork and Quilting that I've purchased. Every issue has had so many great ideas!

  60. New ideas and inspiration. I like looking at the color combinations and all the beautiful pics. The articles are great too. I love reading about the quilt makers.

  63. I look for fun new ideas with well written instructions how to complete the projects. I really love this magazine!

  64. I love this magazine! It's one of the only ones i always keep once I'm finished reading. Hard to find in the US. Thanks for the giveaway!

  65. I like info that challenges my brain — multiple versions of the same design by different quilters; new concepts, techniques, approaches; thought experiments; design challenges . . . and just about everything except real simple "do it exactly this way" type projects and patterns that are totally inflexible.

  66. I look for inspiration in a quilting magazine: good photography of outstanding quilts, and for clearly written and illustrated patchwork patterns. I also find it useful if the patterns include suggestions of quilting designs

  67. It depends….sometimes something really new and unique, sometimes something seasonal….sometimes something quick and fast. But most of all I love the way different magazines have their own personalities….fabric choice and color can say it all!

  68. What do I look for? A lot of colorful, new designs and techniques, along with a rating telling how difficult the project is. I like modern designs. I also like to see visual, step-by-step tutorials.

  79. Is this a new publication? I will have to check this out. Thanks for the scoop.

  80. I've never seen this magazine but now would be a good time to get acquainted. Thank you for the chance to win.

  81. I have never seen this magazine before. I love the pictures and possibilities it shows. Hopefully I will win one and then I can see it up close and personal.

  85. I like unique patterns. I'm ready to find a new magazine that I rush out to buy the new issue – it has been a long time since I felt that way about a quilting magazine.

  86. The only thing better than getting fabric in the mail is getting a quilting magazine. I get a bi-monthly magazine and always look forward to seeing the patterns, reading about some of the people behind the scenes and just getting new and refreshing ideas that I can hold in my hands. There is just something better about the pages than a computer.

    determineddebby at gmail dot com

  87. Great patterns and articles and not too many advertisements, more information on where to buy internationally I'm in Oz

  88. Absolutely Love this magazine from the UK. You can get it at Joann's, but it's very expensive, but each month they share or give a little kit or useful notion.

  89. What I love about quilt magazines is the beautiful photos of finished quilts as well as info about the quilt designers and the fun they have designing and sewing.

  90. I currently only get APQ magazine delivered but I pick up Love Patchwork and Quilting from Barnes & Noble whenever they get a new issue in. I'm missing a few cause I was too late. I am always looking for inspiration & of course fabric!! Thanks for the giveaway.

  91. Only yesterday I pulled issue number 1 from my bookcase, I was after the Floor Tiles block pattern.

  92. Creative and unique and this magazine has both! I would love to win, just can't quite afford them right now!

  93. Patterns that not only appeal to me, but that have good step by step instructions. I don't want to make 2" half square triangles one by one. Tell me how to do it quicker, or give me a tip to make it more accurate (stuff like that).

  94. I rarely find patterns in mags that I actually want to make, and I don't know why that is, considering the covers are always so pretty. I guess I'm looking for more variety, more original patterns, more of a graphic look.

  95. Allways so happy to find fresh and modern quilt patterns for my quilting group: we make quilts for children in hospital and their brothers and sisters. I would like to join this give away: thank you for the opportunity
    greetings
    Francisca

  96. I love a magazine that offers other projects in addition to quilting, especially bags, wool applique, and smaller sewing household items. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

  97. Eye-catching patterns is what I look for in a magazine, as well as interviews with, and glimpses into well-known quilters' lives, and finally information on how a quilt was quilted, the FMQ designs. I hate "quilt as desired" for the finishing instructions.

  98. I look for easy to follow instructions, patterns and latest and greatest from the quilting industry

  99. I love a quilt magazine with lots of visual appeal – full pictures of the quilts with outstanding photography! I also love to hear how the projects were 'quilted', instead of 'quilt as desired'.

  101. I love to see great patterns & projects in a quilting magazine. Interesting articles & interviews with designers are also a plus.

  102. I have to admit, I like the pretty quilt pictures more than anything. I also love that this magazine usually comes with extras like supplies for paper piecing!

  103. I have seen the magazine on FB, but never in person. It is getting harder to find magazines at the stores now days.

  104. I look for quilt patterns, lessons on new techniques, what's going on in the industry, pictures of reader's quilts, and for the quilt patterns I like to see either a tester block or quilt in different fabrics.

  105. When browsing magazines, I am lead to buy it if I see one pattern that I HAVE to have, or a few that I just like enough that I want the patterns in my stash. I have also been suckered into buying magazines when they have a good freebie included, like once I purchased one with EPP papers and patterns included and another time I purchased one that had binding clips in addition to patterns I liked. It is also quite nice when the magazines feature how to's and tips for things like quilting designs or advanced piecing techniques.

  114. Just saw this magazine for the first time at Barnes & Noble. I always look for new patterns to try and new techniques!

  115. I get most of my magazines as hand-me-downs or from the library (which is difficult because you need to talk to the librarian to put on hold a specific issue of the magazine; you can't do it online like everything else). I like patterns that are related to more traditional ones. I also like projects on the smaller side but minis aren't my think right now – more like crib quilt size.

I think I'm not a no-reply, but just in case: jhunsberger (at) gmail (d0t) c0m

  116. I would love to win one of the magazines. I am always looking for good patterns. I especially liked the quilt in one of your pictures, so it looks like a good resource.

  117. I look for quilts that are easy to follow and have LOTS of picstures to follow along or have a link to go to that provides maybe more detailed directions/picutres for those of us who are just starting. Also, the fabric used really will sell me too. Plus the mix of modern but reproductions/vintage quilts really appeals to me too. I am looking for a magazine that will provide that and would subscribe in a HEARTBEAT if they could provide me more of this kind of thing in a quilting magazine!

  125. I love Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine. I have most issues and have been watching ebay for the ones I don't have yet. I like a magazine with variety and up to date projects. Variety of styles, difficulty levels, and techniques make an issue interesting for me.

  126. I'm drawn to quick, modern patterns for quilts, bags and items that can be given for gifts or used for the household.

  127. In a magazine I like the full size patterns (if possible) so I don't have to figure out printing scales/sizing:(.
Love Patchwork and Quilting is my favorite new magazine…learned a lot about paper piecing (the Succulents in March 2015 issue)..oh my goodness how fun! The coolest part too was all the tutorials and colorful projects in the WHOLE magazine. Found the magazine at Jo-Ann Fabric in the USA and it comes each month w/free gift.
Thank you for so much inspiration each issue and for the giveaway:)

    bluestarof2(at)yahoo(dot)com

  128. First off, I look to quilting magazines for color and design inspiration. Rather than copy a pattern directly I will use it for a jumping off point to create my own design which may or may not resemble the original pattern. Being introduced to new ideas and learning new techniques are important benefits as well. Quilt magazines are clearly an affordable supplement to quilt books and round out my quilt library quite nicely. — soparkaveataoldotcom

  129. I like to read about quilting tips and sewing room organization ideas. I also look for colour and inspiration. Thank you for the chance to win.

  130. I LOVE this magazine!!! It's the only one I buy – despite the price tag ๐Ÿ™‚ It's always worth it ๐Ÿ™‚
