Katy’s Hope II: Quilt Raffle for Cystic Fibrosis

Perry Dauzat and I have become good friends over the last few years. Perry’s youngest granddaughter, Katy has Cystic Fibrosis. Every year in May the national organization of CF has a fundraiser. This year will be the second year in a row that there has been a quilt available for raffle for the Oklahoma Chapter.

Cindy Deunger has donated a beautiful quilt for this year’s fundraiser! How wonderful is that! The quilt is 98” x 99” and is called Katy’s Hope II. It is a beautiful quilt made from Moda’s Chocolat collection and Perry’s family is most grateful to her for taking the time and effort to make this quilt.

We would like to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, and you can help! For every $5.00 you donate to Cystic Fibrosis you will receive 2 raffle tickets via email. The drawing will be held on May 9, 2008.

To donate, visit Katy’s Voyagers on CFF.org’s secure website. Scroll down and click on the “Click to Donate” button at the bottom left. To learn more about Cystic Fibrosis, go to www.cff.org.

Be sure to leave your e-mail address in the “Donation Message” area so that they can email your raffle numbers to you!

  1. Thank you so much, Kimberly! I really appreciate your support. This is an awful disease and there is no cure right now, so every donation, small or large, helps add up to find a cure soon.

  2. wow, what an amazing quilt and for such a worthy cause that needs more attention. I just bought some tickets, hope it helps.

  3. Kimberly, thank you so much for your support for Katy and Perry’s family. She is truly an inspiration for me.

  4. Thank you, Kimberly, for spreading the word on this worthy cause! My tickets are purchased — and I want to win that quilt!!

  5. I donated some money for your good cause, I’m glad you are half way to your goal. There was a place for my email address and I put it there but I forgot to add it to the comment section as well so I didn’t get my raffle tickets. That’s too bad because I wanted a chance to win the beautiful quilt that Cindy made.

  6. Carol – I am able to do a generic kind of response from the e-mail address you leave with cff.org, so I did that. I could post your raffle numbers here, but that wouldn’t be right, would it!! I’m going to leave this comment on your blog as well.
