Join us for Stitch-tober 2020 with Lori Holt

Hold on to your hats! Your witch hats, that is. This October we’re casting spells, mixing potions and crossing stitches. Join me, Kimberly Jolly, for the annual Stitch-Tober Stitch Along as we spend 45 days stitching up fall and Halloween-themed designs with Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet! You can join us by stitching a new pattern every day, a new pattern each week, or spend your October stitching up one big piece.

Stitch-tober begins October 1 and will carry on until November 15! This year I am stitching up our new mystery pattern, Fright Night, the FREE Halloween 2020 Mix and Match pattern and Lori Holt’s Pumpkins for Sale pattern in addition to several other patterns you can see here on the Stitch-tober Page.

Stitch Fright Night

Fright Night is a 5-part downloadable PDF pattern series beginning October 2. After you sign up, you’ll receive a new pattern each week via email in time to finish by the end of the month. If you join us for Fright Night, you’ll be in for a treat each week!

If you order your Fright Night Pattern before October 2, you will receive your Fright Night Supply List immediately, and all of your patterns will be delivered via email every Friday in October. If you wait to order after October 2, we will add your first pattern release to your FQS account along with the supply list and email you each pattern after.

Fat Quarter Shop is offering limited edition Fright Night FlossBitties Floss Drops by It’s Sew Emma to make your time stitches less frightening and more fun. These floss drops hold your floss neatly and can be taken anywhere without tangling.

Fat Quarter Shop is also offering some bonus treats for you to choose from when stitching up Fright Night! You’ll need to sign up to receive your patterns, pick your floss, and purchase your cloth.

I can’t wait to get started on this project. You can mix and match this piece however you like. I’ll show you what you need to make yours like I do.

Stitch Lori Holt’s Pumpkins for Sale

Lori Holt’s Pumpkins for Sale pattern is the perfect fall project filled with pumpkins to remind us of time spent picking the perfect pumpkin in the patch! I love this pattern and know you will too. It’s nostalgic and classic.

How cute is this finished piece? I can’t wait to get started on it.

I will be stitching this pattern alongside Lori all Stitch-tober long. I’ll tell you what I am using to stitch it so you can decide how you’d like your finished piece to look.

If you’d like to add this one to your calendar as well, Fat Quarter Shop has got all you need!

More Stitch-tober Patterns

If you’d like more options to stitch up, you can check out our Cross Stitch Patterns page. To see what else I will be stitching, check out our Stitch-tober Page. I will post my progress every week on the blog, so please join me back here on Wednesday, October 7. I will also show my progress every Wednesday at 9 AM CST on the Fat Quarter Shop FlossTube.

You have plenty of time to gather all the supplies you need and choose your patterns. In the meantime, I recommend choosing how you would like to stay organized and keep track of all your different projects, tools and supplies.

You’ll want to stay organized as you stitch so I created a FREE October Downloadable Calendar and a FREE November Downloadable Calendar. You can also pick up our Cross Stitch Journal. The Cross Stitch Journal allows you to record every detail for every cross stitch project you choose, such as pattern, designer, time spent, and floss and cloth used.

  1. I’ve been trying to find a place to ask this question but maybe this will be the best place. I’m working on pumpkins for sale and I decided to stitch it two over two. Do I need to cut a piece of cloth with larger than the called for pattern. I’m using the 25-count lugana and I was going to add 4 in for a border but do I need to add 8 in because I’m stitching 2 over 2 thank you for your help.
