Here at Fat Quarter Shop we LOVE Project Linus! In case you haven’t heard about this fantastic organization, Project Linus is a non-profit that provides security, warmth, and comfort to seriously ill, traumatized, and at-risk children.  How do they do this? With handmade blankets and quilts!

These blankets, made by awesome volunteers called “blanketeers”, are given to children in hospitals and shelters, and to child clients of social service agencies. As quilters we know that quilts provide comfort and are a tangible way to wrap someone in love – that’s what Project Linus is all about!

Project Linus has Chapters in all 50 of the United States, and “blanketeers” who donate their quilts or afghans are given the opportunity to use their talents in a very rewarding way. Plus, what could be better than lending a hand to a child in need by doing something you already love?!

  1. Project Linus is how I can keep my quilting habit fed. They have kits that you can put together and return once finished and they are super cute.

The lattice quilt pictured above is adorable.
