Jason Yenter’s Designer Select

Jason Yenter’s newest collection, Deco is bold, colorful and graphic, perfect for an eye-catching quilt. His prints are influenced by the Art Deco era in New York City and dedicated to the artists and architects of that time. Jason teamed up with the Fat Quarter Shop to create his Designer Select Bundle, a designer approved bundle including 12 prints and 3 solids!

Q: What inspired you to pick the colors and designs in your Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle?
A:When I was asked to put together this bundle I immediately chose the warm, rich red colors. I really like how the deep reds flow into orange and cause the yellow highlights to glow.

Q: What are 3 words you would choose to describe this collection?
A: Modern, rich, dynamic.

*2 Truths and a Lie*
1. Jason made his first quilt when he was 18.
2. Almost 2 million yards of Jason’s designs have been produced.
3. Jason creates most of his designs by painting them.

One of the 3 statements is false. Comment on this post telling me which statement you think is false. Answer correctly and you have a chance to win Jason Yenter’s Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle!

Contest closes 10/9/12.

  1. Clearly I'm not the only one who knows Jason creates his designs on the computer! 10 years ago my 4-H'er son interviewed Jason for his project book. Jason replied with a many-page email answering all Justin's questions — and Justin won Grand Champion with that quilt, made from Jason's "Dragonfly" fabric!

  2. Some of my favorite fabrics in my stash are Jason Yenter! Love this new collection. I'm just guessing that number 3 is incorrect.

  3. I do not know the answer, but I love his Christmas fabric. It is so beautiful!!! This collection is gorgeous too.

I am going to guess #2.

  4. I have no idea, but I will guess #3. What I do know for sure is that I really love this collection and can think of a zillion quilts made from it. Jason is very talented artist and if he really does make quilt that would make him the total package.

  5. I'm gonna guess #3. I love his designs. I'm currently loving his Halloween collection! So whimsical and elegant all at once!

  6. Oh my gosh, what a stunning block ~ at first I didn't really like this fabric but after seeing the block ~ it's really beautiful!
I'd say that #2 is false.

  7. I think #1 is false – he grew up around his Mum's quilt shop, so I think he'd have made some sort of quilt before age 18…*fingers crossed*

  8. I am going to guess that #3 is the one that is incorrect- It is hard to decide..
I love Jason's fabrics and used one of fabrics in a recent design. I love the kaleidoscope look of these fabrics.
Thanks for the chance to win such a nice prize.
