Welcome to the Jolly Jabber on this lovely Tuesday! We are especially glad you stopped in today because we have some incredibly exciting news to share!
The Fat Quarter Shop now has its very own pattern company – It’s Sew Emma! These patterns will be exclusively available at the Fat Quarter Shop.
We have been publishing our exclusive Block of the Month patterns for over three years and we receive daily emails on how well our patterns are written. On top of that, I love being involved in designing blocks and quilts. So I thought, “Why not start our own pattern company?”
And here we are! We will be designing 20 to 25 patterns a year, featuring our favorite fabrics. The quilt patterns will only be available at the Fat Quarter Shop and will be designed by myself, Debbie Taylor of Fat Quarter Shop, plus a few outside designers. Our first outside designer is Rachel Griffith of P.S. I Quilt.
We debuted our first pattern, Peyton at Play, last week. This pattern features Ann Kelle’s Urban Zoologie collection. I named this quilt after my son, Peyton, since he loves animals!

Congrats. The patterns look great. I am looking forward to seeing the kits you come up with to go with them.
So cool!
That is so cool!! If you need/want another designer I"m available!
If you need or want another designer I'm also available! And I just wrote you a thank you note on my blog: http://loveaffairwithmybrother.blogspot.com/2011/07/squishy-package.html for the Amanda Murphy patterns that just arrived in my mail box today 🙂
Beautiful patterns, and so well written! I've already made Peyton at Play, and am looking forward to getting the rest to sew them up, too! Congrats, Kimberly! Well done!
Great news! I like Peyton at play. I could use any large print fabric that I don't want to cut. I'm looking forward to more.
Congratulations!! I love how you named the designs after your children. And the patterns are darling.
