Happy Quilting Day + Giveaway!

Happy Quilting Day to all of our quilt-loving friends! How are you celebrating? Spending some quality time with your sewing machine? Putting the finishing stitches on a project? Or maybe starting something new?

This year we want to celebrate with you! We want to know how YOU would spend a $100 Fat Quarter Shop gift certificate for a chance to WIN one! Comment on this blog post, letting us know what you would buy with big, fat FQS gift certificate. Maybe some notions, or a couple Jelly Rolls? Pick up some patterns or stock up on Mini Charm Packs? Your options are endless!

  3. I do not know for sure because there are so many choices. I love the mini charm packs for travel because I have a small travel bag with my sewing notions which include paper pieces — hexagons are fun and easy to make. :). You carry so many lovely products it is fun to see the new items on your website each day. 🙂

  18. First of all I would love to get two books: Modern Bee (I love being in bees! It is so much fun and it is always so hard to chose the right block) and Simply Fat Quarters. The rest would go in fabrics. At the moment I am stashing lots of low volumes for backgrounds and I need to stash up solids. Oh how much fun it would be to just dig into fabrics!

  26. I would spend every penny and maybe more on fat quarters. I teach beginning quilting classes, with the cost of the class, required tools and materials, I feel some aren't able to attend. I would love to be able to donate fabrics to the ones that can't afford it so that they could attend my classes, and I get to pass on and inspire others the love of quilting.

  28. Oh Wow!!! I don't know for sure how what I would use the $100 certificate!! I'm just beginning to learn about quilting! I just finished my first quilt top, a Disappearing Nine Patch!! I enjoyed making it, with lots of encouragement from experienced quilting friends! When I spread the quilt top out on the living room floor, my husband's comment was "I'm so proud of you!" Wow!!!! I've got lots of ideas, and the $100 certificate would help bring those ideas to life!! Thank you for encouraging us "beginners"!!!

  101. Wow, that's amazing!! I've just made my fist quilt, for a charity (an orphanage in Kenia). It was just a simple triangle quilt, but I think the bug has bitten me!   110. We are doing a memory quilt instead of a guest book at our son's wedding so I would get some white or off white charm packs and possibly some permanent pens.   141. Oh man, oh man. Well, I could use it to pay for the 2014 Mystery BOM, but that wouldn't be so much fun because I've already committed to that. I think I'd choose pre-cuts, probably layer cakes or charm squares so I could fondle as many different new fabrics as possible. Or maybe jelly rolls. Or the honey buns — never tried those. And I know I'd end up spending at least another $100 to go with it because I have a HARD, HARD, HARD time eliminating possibilities and I'd be telling myself, "well, it's really like it's half price." I have been wanting to do this quilt since it was first introduced and now that the fabric is out I would love to purchase the fabric and get sewing.   662. I would dearly love to have the chance to spend many 100s of dollars in your shop. I can't seem to visit your shop online without buying something. Presently I'm bosessed with florals. If asked today, I would spend the $$ on some of the new florals for spring. But tomorrow it might be something else. I know one thing. When I'm working with my fabric I'm happy.
