  11. I am so looking forward to the cooler weather and yes the rain.We had such a dry hot summer. I also love the color of the leaves but I am afraid this year the colors are going to be less bright because of the summer we had.

  23. Fall is phenomenal. The last of the heat and stickiness is behind us as we leave a wilted and burned summer to move into cool, crisp and fresh autumn days. Cicada droning gives way to squirrel chatter as the evenings grow a little longer. The tastes of fall grow richer as the harvest comes in. I love to see the change of seasons, the perpetual cycle of nature, and fall is my most favorite season of all.

  27. Fall is my favourite season but it's not quite the same over her in Australia as what it is back home in Canada. We are just heading into spring and that's just not right for Halloween. Needless to say our house is still decked out in fall colours for October :-). Love your autumn block too and would love to win a layer cake 🙂

  31. I love everything about fall! It is my favorite season! My husband and I were married in the fall on Sept 27th (giveaway day!) our first child was born in the fall, the air turns cool and crisp, apples, pumpkins, and other goodies are harvested, hay is in, we can enjoy bonfires, roasting marshmallows, etc with friends! I'm already enjoying the cooler weather here in texas I love the fall time as I can finally sit outside comfortably and read or sew on my swing and not get carried away with bugs or die of heat stroke!! My little pekayorkie is having a great time the last few days as she has been able to sit outside with the bigger dogs and enjoy the breeze. thanks for the chance to win.

  44. I love autumn, it's my favorite season! There are lots of reason why I like it. It smells good, it's hot during the day but cold at night (so I can get the quilts out), and all that color from the leaves turning is amazing. Thank you for the chance to win some fall fabrics! 🙂

  53. The maple trees are starting to turn those glorious fall colors. I can start cooking stews and soups in my slow cooker and start making fall quilts for presents or myself and now feel quilty about what's for dinner.   68. I love the change of seasons and I always seem to notice big changes when fall arrives. I actually look forward to getting my gardens ready for winter, picking the last of the veggies, spading the dirt, raking leaves. I accept the change of seasons so much better than any of change in my life.

  87. There's lots to love about Fall: The colour of the trees, riding through the crackle of the leaves and feeling the friskiness of my horse – something missing in the heat of summer. Cooking with apples and pumpkin, making soups and chilli. I think fall is THE best time of year!

  98. I am always astounded in the beauty of creation when the leaves begin to change color. This happens because the chlorophyll (green pigment in the leaves dies, leaving the other pigments ( in various shades of reds, oranges and yellows) to shine through. I love driving through the forests of Michigan and seeing mother natures pallette of colors.

  109. I just learned that you have a blog, Kimberly. Not sure how it happened, that I didn't learn about that a long time ago… I should have 😉 And fall, hmm, I love the colors of leaves. And the yellowish glow of the setting sun and how the air smells in the morning. You can feel, that cold is comming.

My birthday is early in October (which accounts for nearly a month of celebrating, right?!), followed by Halloween, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and capping off finally with the New Year.   118. We live in Florida and don't really get a 'fall', but look forward to Thanksgiving when we can open up the doors & windows. However, my daughter and I are heading to N.C. to visit my parents/grandparents for a weekend in October. Hopefully we will get to see some great fall foliage.

  119. Fall for me is synonym with excellent produce! I love Fall cooking, getting back to using the oven as the temperature cools, love the bounty of the Fall's markets.

  120. Living in the midwest we get the full fall effect. I love that I can do canning and see the fruits of our labor from the summer. I also love the slightly cooler weather. And call me weird, but the bugs in the house move slower, so they are easier to catch. LOL

  132. I am excited about fall because you wake up to cool mornings and the atmosphere seems to be more relaxing. The color of the leaves changing are amazing, the deer grazing, squirrels scampering around getting ready for the winter; pumpkins in the garden are turning orange, it's just an amazing time of the year for me.

  153. Our son left for his first year of college and I decided to make him a quilt. I love summer but welcome the opportunity to hibernate and snuggle up with a warm quilt. Sandy's collection reminds me of our golden retriever – warm and wonderful.

  157. We always go apple picking and get our pumpkins for Halloween, too. The stores sell fresh pressed cider and apple pies ready for baking. Can't beat an afternoon in the orchard. I live in Washington State.

  173. I love fall because the humidity that the south is so well known for decreases and you can sit on the front porch again in comfort. Also, we have a maple tree in the side yard that is gorgeous when the leaves turn color. The kids don't rake up the leaves any more and jump in them, but the memories are still there each fall when I see the leaves on the ground.
