FQS Staff Takes on a BOM Month 9

Welcome back to another FQS Takes on a BOM recap! We are gearing up for Houston Quilt Market and Quilt Festival this month, but we’re squeezing our sewing projects before we leave for Houston! Let’s take a look at everyone’s progress.
Kimberly has been busy sewing all kinds of fun projects on Instagram. This month marks our ninth Snapshots Quilt Along block, called Quilty Cat.

Since 2016 is around the corner, we’ve also been working on our upcoming Charity Quilt called  Crossroads. More information coming soon, but here is a sneak peek at this beautiful quilt.

It’s the start of our 1930’s Farmer’s Wife Sew Along with Angie of Gnome Angel and Kimberly has sewn her first three blocks!
With the launch of our NEWEST It’s Sew Emma book, Fat Quarter Baby, Kimberly personally sewed all twenty quilts in the book! Here is a little peek at our newest addition.
Jocelyn’s Chandelier quilt blocks from the Chandelier Quilt Along are slowly growing! We love her green and yellow color palette.

Codi is almost done with her Vacation Time Block of the Month with Pat Sloan! Time to add on the borders and finishing!

Say hello to Stalfos from the Zelda Quilt Along! He’s supposed to be a little mean and scary but he also looks like he’s dancing in this quilt block.

  1. I would love Kat's help to make a "Stampy" quilt for my grandson. Do I use 5" squares? What is her square size? If only we could communicate. My email address is jlblvn@gmail.com. How do I start? Thank you so much!

  2. Pretty adorable block with the kitty. I love kitties.
I am looking forward to this Crossroads charity quilt. It should be wonderful. I LOVE white kona and I always have to have plenty of it on hand,
I am working on a new project (just going with the flow here) and using a grey beige kona. It is kind of making me twitchy, but I think it will look great with this nutty fabric combination I am using (morris jewels and some Kaffe Fasset)
Thank you for sharing the profiles of these wonderful ladies of creativity
