FQS goes to Quilt Market: Thursday

We’ve grabbed our pencils, notebooks, and of course our cameras to head to Schoolhouse today here at Spring Quilt Market in St. Louis!

It’s so much fun to hear from so many designers about their upcoming books, collections and notions! We simply can’t choose a favorite!

At Moda, we saw some beautiful Jelly Roll quilts and learned that there is now a “National Sew A Jelly Roll Day,” which is the third Saturday in September!

Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique shows off her fun new book, Charm School!

Annie Unrein of Patterns by Annie shows us the functional inside of MJ’s Messenger Bag! These bags are so fun to make with the variety of Annie’s zippers and mesh that we have in stock at FQS!

Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic discusses her new book, Zen Chic Inspired, and the color theory and pattern inspiration behind each quilt!

How fun are these new embroidered patch templates called Scout from Cotton + Steel!? So many possibilities!

Tula Pink‘s gorgeous new collection, Spirit Animal, includes Tula’s signature colors and some fun little critters – like this otter!

Jaybird Quilts’ new book, Alphabet Soup, has endless possibilities for spelling out some of your favorite words or names! Such a great idea for a personalized baby blanket!

This stunning quilt is just one of the beautiful designs from Carrie Nelson’s new book, Miss Rosie’s Farmhouse Favorites!

Barb and Mary of Me and My Sister Designs showed us some awesome quilt patterns using their Double Wide Dresden Ruler! We especially loved this ladybug quilt!

Amy Smart of Riley Blake Designs shows a fun bag in her new Gingham Girls fabric collection.

Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts shows off her gorgeous new quilt design in her new collection, Blue Sky!

Zen Chic’s new collection, Fragile! We’re loving this color scheme!

Kim Diehl and Jo Morton discuss their new quilt book, Simple Friendships!

We ended the night with some crazy fun crowds at the Sample Spree! We got so many goodies that you all will just love!
