Are you ready?! The moment you’ve been waiting for has finally come! The much-anticipated sequel to Farm Girl Vintage is here! In Farm Girl Vintage 2, Lori Holt has rounded up 45 unique 6″ and 12″ quilt blocks, inspired by her rural roots. She has also designed 13 new projects, including quilts, pillows, a pincushion, and of course a fantastic new sampler quilt!
About the Quilt
The Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sampler features all 45 blocks, and room to add a few of your favorite blocks from other Lori books! We are offering a Farm Girl Vintage Sampler 2 Quilt Kit that includes over 28 yards of Farm Girl Vintage fabric for the 88.5″ x 95.5″ quilt top and binding. A Backing Set is available also.
The Farm Girl Vintage Sew Along will begin Friday, November 1, 2019 and last until Friday, April 3, 2020. We’ll showcase finished quilts on April 24. We’re calling it #FarmGirlFridays! Be sure to visit Lori’s blog, Bee in My Bonnet, and Instagram every Friday for piecing tips and her adorable blocks. We will also share Farm Girl blocks and special projects with the additional settings and projects found in Farm Girl Vintage 2 each month on the Jolly Jabber and on our social media channels.
What are you sewing?
We are sewing all of the 45 Farm Girl blocks from the book, and every Friday, we will share two blocks on our Facebook and Instagram feeds, going right down the list in the book. We hope you’ll join us in sewing along and sharing your blocks with the hashtag #FarmGirlFridays, too! Choose from the 6″ or the 12″ block options to use in any of the Mix & Match or Farm Girl quilt options, also your choice!
To make the Sampler Quilt, go in alphabetical order according to the table of contents in the book, switching between small and large blocks listed on this chart as they come up.
What do you need?
You need your Farm Girl Vintage 2 book and some fabric to get ready for the fun! You can sew from the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sampler Quilt Kit and Backing Set, or choose your own fabrics. Use this fabric requirements guide to see general requirements, or see this guide for exact fabrics used in the quilt on the book cover.
General Fabric Requirements for Farm Girl Vintage 2 Sampler Quilt
Lori Holt’s designs are made from a mix of fabric scraps in a wide range of colors and prints from her collections. She has created a custom Fat Quarter bundle of prints, and one of solids, with her favorite fabrics that would be perfect for the sew along. Take a fat quarter bundle, add some yardage for background, binding and backing, and you’re off to the races.

Will there also be videos for this quilt?
No, there won’t be. But Lori Holt will give tips each Friday in her blog posts.

When using a quarter inch seam, my pieces are too large. Is she using a half inch seam allowance.
