We packed our notebooks, pencils, energy, and of course our cameras because we are back in school with Schoolhouse! The Fat Quarter Shop team fueled up with coffee and started our day at the George R. Brown Convention Center ready to see what’s new in quilting – which fabrics and notions will be making their way onto our site and into our sewing rooms next year!
Tula Pink opened the day with the Premier Schoolhouse. We are sew excited about her new collection, HomeMade! It’s Tula’s world, with beautiful colors and unicorns galore, and we all want to live in it!
Kimberly Jolly showing off the Snickerdoodle quilt from It’s Sew Emma’s Perfect 5 Quilts Book! She was at Creative Grids schoolhouse for the Perfect 5 Ruler.
Martingale Press always bakes up something special, and with the book Mix It Up, we learned the ingredients that go into making a fabulous quilt!
Cake Mix and Cupcake Mix make all these triangles easy and accurate. Such variety and creativity from these designers!
Birds of a feather stick together with Elizabeth Hartman’s new collection, Library. Her animal-themed quilts are always sew great!
You’ll be a Happy Camper with Tilda Fabrics’ new collection!
Such a stunning rainbow of colors with Alison Glass! She has some beautiful upcoming collections – Sun Prints 2020 and Handiwork.
Jera Brandvig charmed us with her new collection for Lecien called Madame Fleur.
Feeling a moment of zen with Gerri Robinson, of Planted Seed Designs, new collection Tranquility!
Seasonal decor? Why yes, Kimberbell has us covered with her cute new designs!
And that was our full day of Schoolhouse at Fall Quilt Market 2019! We loved seeing all the new and familiar faces and learning a ton about all that’s new in quilting! Tomorrow is the first day of Quilt Market and we will be posting plenty of updates from the show, so stay tuned for more Quilt Market fun!
One of the highlights of Schoolhouse day is the Sample Spree where we get a chance shop the fabrics that will be in stores next year. Moda Fabrics staff were all hands on deck ready to give out samples.
During Sample Spree, we were able to snag a few brand new Fat Quarter Bundles to give away!
