Fall Quilt Market 2016: Sunday

Quilt Market 2016 is wrapping up today in Houston, TX, and we have had the best time here! We’ve fallen in love with some new fabric collections and we know that they will be brought to life beautifully in some fun new projects! We have been so inspired this weekend and we can’t wait to show you what we have up our sleeves!
 
 

We got to see this awesome tutorial by Moda designer Carrie. We are so looking forward to these Cake Mix Recipes!
This Hashtag collection at the Riley Blake held so many cute pieces! Including that top right bumble bee by Lori Holt of Bee In My Bonnet!
We stumbled upon these cute little critters in Tula Pink’s booth! The prints are so stunning and playful!
Michael Miller’s stunning colors and whimsical prints make for the most unique quilts that are so soft!
The Jubilee collection at Cotton + Steel was inspired by vintage prints and makeup packaging.
American Jane by Carrie shows traditional colors in fun, alternative prints.
Melted crayons was such a huge trend we saw on Etsy in the past few years, and this quilt at the Riley Blake booth brought that to life on a large scale!

  16. I saw lots of fabric that I will probably have to have as it shows up on-line, but I was really impressed with Violet Craft's elephant in non-traditional colours. I think I may need to make one like it.

  39. Market looked absolutely amazing this year. I keep thinking I dont know how designers can possibly top themselves each year, but they do! I am disabled and I wish I could go to an event where Edyta Sitar is doing book signing, i just adore her and want a book signed by her so badly and know thats not going to happen for me but I sure love seeing her at market, thank you for including photos of her work throughout this. I love her stuff! So many beautiful things this year! I am going to be in soooo much trouble. My husband is going to flip when he sees the deliveries increases even more than usual.   52. The next best thing to being at the show is all the wonderful pictures of the booths that you have shown us. I am really loving that Sugar Plum Christmas group with the gingerbread cookies on some of the fabrics. Nothing says Christmas like fresh gingerbread cookies!

It's a good thing quilters are not allowed to come to Quilt Market because the paramedics would be overcome with all of us overcome with all the new quilts, products and fabrics to be seen there. And if all the new fabrics were available for sale, the lines would be impossible. I would be one of those very people. These new fat quarters are going to make the lucky winners very happy!
