Fall Market '10: Moda at Market - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Fall Market ’10: Moda at Market

Happy Halloween everyone! So we are now officially done with Quilt Market and I’m pretty sure I walked about 200 miles in 2 days (And yes, that is the distance from Austin to Houston, which is a lovely 3 hour drive, to give more of an idea how big Market is)! ;-)Well today I am going to introduce some of the new Moda lines and show off some of their gorgeous booths …. so let’s get kickin’!Wait. First a total coincidence happened today! Cheryl and Mark, pretty much the queen and king of Moda accidentally were twins today… how cute are they!

Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree & Co. and her new line Buttercup.

Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles Quilters booth displaying Perennials (below left) and Kansas Troubles Favorites (above left and below right) up in action! Be on the lookout … Kansas Trouble Favorites is on its way to FQS super soon!
Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts presenting her new patterns.
Kathy Schmitz booth and her new line Full Circle.– Quilt pattern to the left is “Once Upon a Time” and will be coming to FQS soon!
La Petit Poulet by American Jane— That stuffed rooster reminds me of the roosters in my neighborhood that sneak into my backyard! Such a classic country line with a little French attitude!
Sweetwater’s Sunkissed— After Pure everyone was wondering how she could outdo that one.. well she somehow must be a goddess because she did it! You’ve all seen a few sneak peeks of of this one so far, but here it is in action… also shown in Sunny Staircase Quilt Kit at Fat Quarter Shop.
Anne & Anne of Bunny Hill Designs with their super cute two new colorways for Lily & Will. I absolutely love them– in yellow and aqua!! (We area also about to be getting in Lily & Will yardage in the pink, green, and blue colorways! Keep your eyes open or reserve it now!)
Barb & Mary of Me & My Sister Designs have done it again with Dilly Dally! Also look for the iron covers they made which will be posted on Flickr soon… way cute!
Kate Spain’s Central Park is so yummy! You might have seen a sneak peak of it on the
North Meadow Quilt Kit on our coming soon page. PS did you know she used to design Hello Kitty goods? how cute right!?.. now she’s also made it to Crate & Barrel with those plates behind her!
Liesl Gibson of Oliver + S displaying Modern Worshop and her new book coming out in March, Little Things to Sew. She showed us a mock copy of the book and ohhh myy goodness it’s SO completely adorable. Apparently two of the kids got a modeling contract after being in her book. How funny, right!? All of us at FQS also had the chance to have dinner with her on Saturday night at the Moda party and we got to talking about how she got to designing for Moda… she used to design for Ralf Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. Pretty snazzy huh!

We will be posting the rest of the pictures on Flickr tomorrow.. So be ready! 🙂 We definitely have a lot more shots to put up.

ok.. one more day in a row… out last market giveaway.. (I know sad, right)!! Today it’s a Buttercup Fat Quarter Bundle! Yep, that’s Fig Tree Quilt & Co.’s new line! Once again to enter leave a comment on here, on twitter or on our facebook status about this “Jolly Jabber Update.” You need to write about something new with Moda we showed you today or have heard about!
