Easy Sewing Projects For Kids

Introducing: Cut, Sew, Create by Stacy Iest Hsu

Stacy Iest Hsu’s latest quilting adventure alongside Moda Fabrics is Cut, Sew, Create! This whimsical line of panels is full of projects to get children involved in sewing. Stacy designed these projects with young sewists in mind. The line features beginner, intermediate and advanced-level projects that are sew cute, you’ll have to make them all! The pillows, pouches and toys will get young ones excited about sewing while learning basic skills.

How to sew and stuff pillows and beds

Pillow Kits from the collection are just right for the beginner sewist! These fun projects will turn into pillows your child will be proud of. The Sunshine, Rainbows and Cloud Pillow Kit comes with a Cut and Sew Panel and sewing instructions. You’ll need to get your Poly-fil, needles and thread separately! In favor of your fur-children, Stacy also included fun projects to make sleeping and snuggling all the better for your dog or cat. The Cut, Sew, Create Kitty Bed and Toy Kit is sure to make your pet feel special while you learn more intermediate sewing skills.

Learn to sew zipper pouches

Once you have mastered pillows, the zippered pouches are a fantastic way to really challenge yourself! The pouches teach skills like applying a zipper or Velcro.  Some projects can be hand-sewn and others are great for getting started with a sewing machine! The yummy Lunch Bag and Snack Bags Kit teaches how to sew boxed corners, apply Velcro and sewing on a button, all useful skills to grow on!

More easy sewing projects

Stacy included some projects for the home including the Apron & Tea Towel Kit and the Pillow Case Kit , which are both beginner friendly and require fewer materials!
