The Fat Quarter Shop is excited to welcome Mark Cesarik to the Jolly Jabber for the first time ever. Mark’s very first fabric collection with Free Spirit Fabrics is Calypso Swing.  Mark and his darling new bride, Cara (as shown in the second picture),  are the cutest!

Q: What was the first seed that grew into the Calypso Swing collection?
A: The name “Calypso Swing” comes from the playful and funky nature of the designs. I wanted to keep the designs fun and light and bring a movement and “Swing” to them.

Q: What are 3 Words/ Images you would choose to describe this collection?
A:
1. FUNKY
2. Loud
3. Playful

Q: What single print/SKU in the collection is your favorite (can only pick one!)?
A: My favorite SKU is MC09Pink. It’s the main print in the collection and the color scheme and the Motif just works for me, I really feel it represents the collection quite well.

Q: What is your dream project using this collection?
A: Actually, We got to use all of my fabrics for my wedding in Jamaica, my wife made table runners, table cloths, centerpieces, napkins, etc. My fabric was Everywhere!

Mark’s Silly Secrets:

1. What music are you listening to right now?
I’ve been listening to Raphael Saadiq’s Stone Rollin, its throwback soul. Great album.

3. Work and life essentials aside, what is the activity you spend the most time doing?
I love taking my dog Rhonda to the beach on beautiful Summer Days, Love spending time outside when the weather is nice.

4. Where did you grow up and where do you call home?
I grew up outside of Cleveland, Ohio and have lived in chicago for the last 11 years. Moving to New York this weekend actually.

6. Your biggest pet peeve?
Not filling up the Brita when it’s almost finished or not replacing the ice cube trays when they are finished.

8. What is the most important part of a sandwich?
The Bread, it’s gotta be good bread or you got nothin’.

    I just LOVE Mark's entire Calypso Swing line.Just GORGEOUS colors and design in both colorways!
