The Fat Quarter Shop is excited to welcome Deb Strain to the Jolly Jabber. Deb Strain’s latest fabric collection is Meadow Friends from Moda.
Q: What was the first seed that grew into the Meadow Friends collection?
A:Our two year old twin grandsons were the inspiration for Meadow Friends. I imagined all of the fun they will have when they are a little older, playing in the creek and meadow, bringing home bugs, frogs, turtles and salamanders!
Q: What are 3 words you would choose to describe this collection?
Q: What single print/SKU in the collection is your favorite (can only pick one!)?
A:I love the “leapin frogs.” They just look like they would be fun to try to catch!
Q:What is your dream project using this collection?
A:A quilt that children could hug at night and keep forever!
Deb’s Silly Secrets:
1. What music are you listening to right now?
2. What is your guilty pleasure food?
3. Work and life essentials aside, what is the activity you spend the most time doing?
Playing with my little grandsons. They are the light of our world!
4. Where did you grow up and where do you call home?
I grew up in Springfield, Ohio but spent a lot of time at my Grandparents farm where I could be outside and play with my own “Meadow Friends.”
6. Your biggest pet peeve?
Filling my car with gas! I always let it run down to empty and my husband ends up filling it! (What a sweetie!)
That fabric is really adorable. Deb's description is perfect. Thanks.
That is such cute fabric, love it. When I get back to normal and get more practice with quilting, I want to do charity quilts and I just love the fun fabrics that you can use for kids.
I love this and all fabrics by Deb Strain. Good post.
Thanks Deb for continuing to design new things! I have loved your artwork and still have a large garden themed framed print you did that hung in my kitchen for many years.
