Designer Tidbits: Bunny Hill Designs

Inspired by Paris, flea markets and lace, Windsor Lane has a vintage charm that adds a touch of class to any project it encounters. Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs stopped by the Jolly Jabber to chat about the collection, her inspiration and a little bit about herself. Read her interview and shop her collection to add a bit of Parisian whimsy to your Friday.

Q: What inspired this collection?
A:I was on my first trip to Paris, rummaging through the flea markets when I came upon a rare find.

One of the vendors had a stack of vintage pencil sketches that had originally been used for making lace. One of the sketches became the inspiration for the paisley in Windsor Lane. Imagine finding a vintage lace as beautiful as this one. If I can only have one fabric, let it be the Windsor Lane Paisley!

Q: What is your favorite project using this collection?
A:I designed the ABC’s of Life for my granddaughter Lily, using the alphabet panel you’ll find in Windsor Lane. The little mice have timeless words of advice and the quilt was so much fun to make! It’s my favorite project using the Windsor Lane fabric and one that I hope you’ll make for your that special someone in your life

Be sure and buy the Windsor Lane ABC Quilt Panel now if you’d like to make this quilt. The panel will only be available for a short time.

Q:What is your favorite TV show of all time?
A:I record my favorite TV shows during the week and watch them on weekends while I stitch or sew. It’s a little treat that I’ve come to look forward to. My favorite TV show will always be Grey’s Anatomy. If they ever cancel this series I’ll have to be happy watching the reruns! If I could live in a movie or TV show I would want to be Meredith in Grey’s Anatomy. She’s a smart woman and a doctor with compassion. Who knows, maybe she can learn to quilt in her spare time!

Q:If you could be a modern day fictional character, who would you be?
A:I’m reading all of the “In Death” books written by J.D. Robb and I’m almost through the entire series! I read every night and right now I’m so involved with this series I hate for it to end. If I had to pick a modern day fictional character I would want to be Dallas, the featured detective! She’s the best!
