Designer Select: Pam Kitty Morning

The Fat Quarter Shop and Pam Vieira-McGinnis have teamed up to present you with a Fat Quarter Shop Exclusive! Pam has specially selected 12 prints from her Pam Kitty Morning collection along with 3 coordinating dots for this special bundle you will only find at the Fat Quarter Shop.

Q: What inspired you to pick the colors and designs in your Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle?
A:My Designer Select bundle is chock full of nostalgic happiness to me. All the colors and prints remind me of my childhood full of cute twirly dresses, cafe curtains and colorful tablecloths. Sewing = Happiness to me.

Q: What are 3 words you would choose to describe this collection, not including any of the fabric designs!
A:
1. Cheerful
2. Nostalgic
3. Fresh

*2 Truths and a Lie*
1. I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade.
2. In high school I worked at a small factory making parts for Mack trucks.
3. I worked as a long haul trucker in the summer to put myself through college.

One of the 3 statements is false. Comment on this post telling me which statement you think is false. Answer correctly and you have a chance to win Pam’s Designer Select Fat Quarter Bundle!

You have exactly one week from the post date.
Good Luck!

  1. Hmm I am guessing number 2! Love the fabric! I am going to use it in decorating for a baby shower and a baby quilt!

  2. I'm Guessing #2 is wrong
I really have no idea which statement is wrong – lol – But i feel lucky today – roflol

    Happy Holidays !!!!

  3. I think they all could be correct. I know she does drive long distance to quilt shows. I think I remember her saying she sewed cloths for her doll when she was younger. So I guess that leaves number #2. I just love PKM!

  4. This is getting really difficult!!! I'll guess #3. Hope I win because those fabrics are so cheerful and would be fun to work with.

  5. Oh, my goodness, this is difficult. I can just see Pam as Rosy the Riveter and driving a truck. If anyone could do it, it would be her. So I'm going with #1. She probably started sewing much earlier!

  6. Hmmm… well #3 surely sounds like it would be the lie, but I'm gonna guess that it might just be true! So, my guess is #2…. Hope I'm right!

  7. While it seems obvious that #2 and #3 would be the lie, I am going with #1. Hope I am the winnder. I would love to have some of that fabric and free would be great

  8. i'm going to guess #2 is a lie. though it would be hilarious if it turned out to be #1 🙂

i love PKM's blog and now the fabrics are just as wonderful as i thought they would be!

  9. I'm saying #1 is false. I love the idea of Pam being a long haul trucker so I'm clinging to that picture in my mind (why not? she's amazing at everything else!).

  10. I'mgoing to guess #2…… it's as good as anything but certainly not as good as winning the bundle!

  11. Hmmmm. Hard choice, but I'm going with #3 because you couldn't sew and drive back then. (I'm guessing your age by the cute dresses–just like I wore!) Now we have small sewing machines that can go everywhere with us. Just think of the cute truck curtains with those fabrics!!

  12. Guessing that #3 is the one that's not true, but Pam is very adventurous…Adorable fabric! Thanks

  13. I think #1 is a lie. I think she's being sewing longer than since the third grade. Love the fabrics!

  14. I think #1 is the lie-she probably learned to sew in the 4th grade 🙂 I love PKM's style-especially all the dottiness!

  15. Anything is possible. But I'm thinking #3 because longhaul truckers generally aren't 18-20. But the thought is interesting. I worked some weird, great jobs through high school and college. I'm teaching my granddaughter to sew and she's in 3rd grade.

  16. No WAY was Pam a long-haul trucker … she's too short! 😉 tee hee

I was lucky enough to meet her in Houston and she's just so hilarious.

LOVE her fabric line and hope it's only the first of many.

  17. Wow, this is a tough one. I'm going to guess #1. I think she started sewing at an early age but I'm betting it wasn't at that point in time.

I loved reading all the other comments and the reasoning in thier guesses.

  18. Eeeny, meeny, miney mo…. gosh this is not easy, but I am guessing #1 is not true(only because it seems too real and the others are so farfetched that a person couldn't just make them up!)

  19. Pam's selections are awesome! I can't believe someone with such good taste would ever be an over the road trucker so I think #3 is the lie!

  20. I think number 2 is false.

This is one of the cutest lines that has come out in awhile; I would LOVE to win this bundle and I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  21. I'm going to guess #1. Maybe Pam Kitty started sewing earlier or later than then. I think working at a Mac Truck factory making parts in high school is about as likely as being a long-haul trucker, why not?

  22. I believe that #1 is false. Pam is SO talented, she probably started sewing BEFORE 3rd grade. She is talented enough to make parts for a Mack truck and to also be a long haul trucker in order to achieve her goals!!!

  23. Seeing as how the second two both have to do with trucking, I'll go for number 1. I know, weird, but may she hasn't been sewing since she was 3? We'll see!

  24. I think that #3 is false. Although Pam Kitty keeps the road hot between California and Texas when going to and from the International Quilt Market:) I sew want to win this beautiful PKM fabric.

  25. I think #1 is wrong, she has probably been sewing since before she started school – my grandmother started me sewing buttons on old washcloths when I was barely old enough to sit still! (wish I had some of those button covered cloths now!)

  26. I am going to guess that #2 is the lie..I sure hope I win these beautiful fabrics!

  27. I think the wrong answer is number 1. She probably started sewing at 5 years of age.
Thanks for a chance to win this fun bundle. Would love to make a quilt for the toddler bed I have as a Grandma's bed.

  28. Oh boy, I'll guess #1 is a lie. This was hard !! Can't wait to see the answer. Thanks for the giveaway.

  29. Well…i learned to sew about fourth grade , so i'm going to say number one is false! Whatever is true, they're all great. Tha ks and have a great day
