Coffee Koozie Tutorial with Fat Quarter Shop

 
Coffee addicts and tea lovers, rejoice! We have an easy DIY Coffee Koozie tutorial for you today. This project is so easy and fun to make! Plus, it adds extra pizzazz to your coffee or tea tumblers. 
This tutorial requires a mini charm pack, thread (Aurifil of course!), a hairband (or 3″ length of elastic), and a button to make. Kimberly chose to use the Elementary collection by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics

  1. I need this for my tea mugs! I like to use mini charm packs in patchwork bags. The small packs let me sample my favorite collections without taking up a lot of space which I love!

  4. I have never used minis but I am definitely making this koozie this week! It's so pretty and I think it will be perfect for this fall. Might make some for my sons to give their teacher too.

  5. First of all….the mini charm packs are great for pot holders, pillows, quilts that use small pieces, and a ton of other patterns. This koozie project is probably one of my favorites. I love the idea of putting the koozie on a cup and slipping in a gift card..or the small coffee packs and syrups to give as a gift. GREAT PROJECT!

  15. I have not used charm packs yet. I just received one a couple of weeks ago. I am debating between making them into mug rugs or incorporating them into a quilt.

  16. I've used mini charms to make small table toppers. After watching the video, which was great and Kimberly did an awesome job, I want to make a bunch of these Coffee Koozies for my family!!! I also learned a few techniques to use when !making other projects!!

  20. I loved making this project for my grandson's teachers. Quick and easy! But I used Moda Candy Bars instead if piecing squares. Made it simpler and faster. Thanks for this inspiration!

  21. I have never used precursor such as mini charm packs but once my stash is much smaller I plan to start. Of course if my resistance holds out. Ha! Love the project!!!
