The quilt pattern gives instructions for making Crib, Lap, Twin, and Queen-sized quilts. To make your quilt just like ours, we have the Shaded Trail Quilt Kit, which includes everything we used, and you can also grab the backing set!

Snowkissed by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics

We chose to make the Shaded Trail Quilt with Snowkissed by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics because it has a variety of colors that will look nice and festive in the final quilt. You can use any fabric for a Classic & Vintage Quilt including seasonal, novelty, and holiday fabrics!

The Quilt Block

If you want to sew with us, we have a FREE video tutorial where Kimberly guides you through the step-by-step for making this Classic & Vintage quilt block.

The FREE Shaded Trail Block Pattern makes a 12.5″ x 12.5″ unfinished block. You can use 4″ Finished Half Square Triangle Paper by Triangles on a Roll if you want to be as precise as possible.

Who is Quilting Along?

Our quilty friend Elisabeth DeMoo (@brownbirddesigns) made the Crib-sized quilt. You can see her Shaded Trail Quilt below and check out her blog post for all the details!

Elizabeth DeMoo's version of the Shaded Trail Quilt
Elisabeth used a mix of Blossom by Christopher Thompson and Confetti Cottons by Riley Blake Designs.
