This is where you come in.
I am hosting a drive where you can donate a stocking. Our goal is to get at least 50 stockings.
Don’t know how to make a stocking? No worries, I have you covered! From now until the end of November, there will be a free stocking tutorial posted every Tuesday. Some of your favorite bloggers have gathered together and agreed to contribute a unique stocking pattern, so be sure to check back on Tuesdays to see what it is!
And what’s a charity drive without some awesome sponsors and prizes? There are a lot of great prizes lined up (hint: lots of fabric!) and even a $50 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop! To be eligible all you have to do is send in a stocking and link up the linky party on December 1st at PurplePandaQuilts.blogspot.com. You will get one entry per stocking you donate. Also be on the lookout for other “mystery” giveaways throughout the event.
This is very important. I need all stockings to be mailed to me by no later than December 1st. For address information check the flickr group or send me an email at PurplePandaQuilts(at)gmail(dot)com.
Finally, I’ve set up a flickr group – Stockings for Kids – where you can go to sign up to make stockings, post pictures of your stockings, and see what other people have made as well.
Thank you so much!!

I am in. I will be checking my stash to see what kind of fabric I can find.
I will give this a try. I hope your tutorial is good cuz I'm gonna need it.
I would love to do this. I just hope I do a good enough job.
I think this is a marvelous idea! Unfortunately I'm 3 stockings behind already for my nieces and nephews, but best of luck and I hope you do it again next year!
So do we come to the Jolly Jabber to see your stocking tutorials or are they over at Purple Panda blog? I'll need the help, too. Oh, is there a typical "size" for stockings? OR a "too big" or "too small"? Just wondering.
I am looking forward to making stockings and designing one too! Thank you Fat Quarter Shop for sponsoring this wonderful drive!
Wonderful idea – I'd love to contribute!
I want to contribute! This is a great idea!
What a great idea! I'll happily make a stocking 🙂
I will be watching for the tutorials so that I can get an idea of what kind of stockings you want – have made lined stockings of various types for years for family, and will dig out the Christmas fabric! What a great idea!
