The very first Jolly Bar® Day is this Saturday, May 10th, and we are sew excited for you to join us in celebrating the ultimate sweet treat for fabric lovers—the Jolly Bar® precut! Not only do we have a roundup of our free Jolly Bar Shortcut Quilt patterns for you today, but on Saturday, we will have a special Livestream with Kimberly and a blog full of Jolly Bar® projects you can do in a day!
This year is the inaugural celebration of Jolly Bar Day, and you’re in for a sweet treat! This 5″ x 10″ precut is a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive, and we have officially made May 10th (aka 5/10) Jolly Bar Day. With 42 pieces of 5″ x 10″ fabric cuts, it’s the perfect assortment for any quilting project, providing all the prints in one yummy collection. All you have to do to share in the festivities is tune in to the special Saturday Livestream, break open a Jolly Bar®, and make something with us!
Jolly Bar Day Livestream
As mentioned at the top of the blog, Kimberly will be hosting a Livestream on Saturday, May 10th at 10 AM CT (8 AM PT/11 AM ET) on the Fat Quarter Shop YouTube Channel. We’ll highlight everything about our favorite 5” x 10” precut to give you tons of scrumptious quilty ideas, have a trunk show for the newest Jolly Bar Book Vol. 5, Kimberly will sew the Jolly Bar Jig Quilt live, and there will also be some scrumptious savings to make the day extra sweet!
Kimberly will be sewing up the Jolly Bar Jig Quilt in Cottage Charm by My Sew Quilty Life for Moda Fabrics. You can sew along with her LIVE using any Jolly Bar in your stash and some background fabric, or you can make yours just like the one above by picking up the Jolly Bar Jig Quilt Kit and matching Backing Set.

Thanks for the Jolly Bar Coupon! I won’t be able to sew along this weekend, but can’t wait to see everyone else’s creations. My Mother’s Day time with my oldest is on Saturday because my favorite police officer is on duty on Sunday, Love this precut size and appreciate the celebration!

I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Jolly Bar livestream on Saturday. It was SEW much fun. I almost finished Summer Getaway that was a Jolly Bar pattern in one of the SewSampler boxes. It was fun to be sewing along with Kimberly during a livestream.
