Build a Bundle with the Fat Quarter Shop

Welcome to our NEW Friday feature that we hope will be fun (maybe even addicting) for you! We are calling it “Build a Bundle” and it involves creating a bundle combination from any fabric in our store. Our FQS staffer of the week will select their current favorite fabric, and you will select two other fabrics from Fat Quarter Shop to coordinate with it. At the end of the week, the FQS staffer will pick their favorite from all of the submissions, and the winner will receive ONE YARD of each fabric in their winning combination!

To play, you will need some sort of photo-sharing account so you can build your bundle image, such as Flickr. You will need an account on Mosaic Maker to build your bundle image. These sites are all free and easy to use.

Kimberly Jolly is our FQS staffer of the week, and her favorite fabric is Girl Small Chevron from Riley Blake Designs.

Directions on how to build your bundle:

Head over to the Fat Quarter Shop and pick two fabrics that coordinate best with Kimberly’s fabric pick for a bundle of three. Right-click with your mouse on the image and select ‘save as’ then place them on your desktop or in a file. Please use the large fabric images, not the small thumbnail images (see image below).
Upload the images to your photo-sharing site (example: Flickr).
Go to Mosaic Maker and select 3 columns, 1 row (see image below).
Select ‘Create’ and then ‘Share.’ The menu will give you several options, choose Flickr (see image below).
Be sure to title your bundle image, then select ‘Upload’ (see image below).

To preview on Flickr, select ‘go to your photostream’.

Now that your images are loaded it’s time to add them to our Build a Bundle Flickr group! Select ‘Add photos’ and choose your bundle image (see image below).
Success! Now you can see your very own bundle on the Build a Bundle page! (see image below). 
For a chance to win, be sure to leave a comment on this blog post with a link to preview your bundle image on Flickr. You may also post your bundles on your Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest accounts, just be sure to include the link in this blogs comment section. Contest closes Tuesday August 21st at midnight CST. The winner will be selected and announced one week from today in the next Build a Bundle feature.
BUT WAIT…. we still need to announce the two winners from last week’s From Me to You post! All you had to do for a chance to win an Indie fat quarter bundle was simply post a comment about what you would do with either the Sunlight Bazaar fat quarter bundle or the Midnight Temple fat quarter bundle from the Indie Collection by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics!

  64. Whew!!! Well I tried to follow your instructions on the 'build a block' link – got the Flickr & Mosaic accts. set up, chose the 3 fabrics – joined the yahoo group and uploaded!!! They did not turn out 'connected' like the others I saw, but after 2 hours of trying to get this right—-it would not left me go back and upload again ???suggestions for an easier experience are more than welcome! Blessings

Stitchen and Prayin, it is there roll over your picture and you will see what you labeled your grouping as, I thought I was having the same problem but then realized they weren't showing all 3 together but just a snapshot of one of the fabrics you chose, click on it and they will all come up. Good Luck.
