Blogger's Choice: Stephanie Alvarez - The Jolly Jabber Quilting Blog

Blogger’s Choice: Stephanie Alvarez

Do you sew with a 1/4″ seam? Well of course you do! Stephanie, the blogger behind Quarter Incher, is a mother, blogger, and passionate quilter. We teamed up to bring you a blogger approved bundle of 12 prints and 13 solids that we know you will love! Keep reading for a closer look at Stephanie Alvarez’s Blogger’s Choice Bundle and a giveaway!

Q: What will you be making with your Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundle?
A:I think I’ll whip up a fabulous quilt for my daughter. She can never have too many. These colors would work so well with the Single Girl quilt pattern by Denyse Schmidt. I’ve been waiting for the right stack of fabric to finally tackle this quilt.

Q: What quilt project are you currently working on?
A:Well, I’ve worked on only one quilt lately. It seems I’ve been up to my ears in making items for Swaps! Other than that, sewing life has winded down a little bit recently because I’ve been a little preoccupied working on a baby instead! Now that I’m coming out my first trimester, my energy is getting back to normal so fun new projects should be starting soon!

Hot Seat:
1. jelly roll or layer cake
2. planned or scrappy
3. prints or solids

Leave a comment on this post choosing one of each pair you think Stephanie would have selected. Answer correctly and you will have a chance to win one of her Blogger’s Choice Fat Quarter Bundles! Contest closes Wednesday October 16, 2013.

Good Luck!

  2. Layer cake, planned, prints

I'm new to quilting and guessing as I'm not even sure what this means. I'm finishing a quilt I started 16 years ago and need help with starting a fabric collection.

  3. The Single Girl Pattern by Denise Schmidt definitely calls for Jelly Roll, planned pattern and scrappy pattern material. I am working on a Double Wedding Ring and only wish I were doing "Single Girl".. LOL.
